Gelateria Caprafico In Genova

10/02/2024: Upper room closed due to lack of staff, 3 tables only, decent pizza, sufficient service, kind but without empathy, total impression not positive, few occasional people.

10/02/2024: Dinner with my wife, improvised after a long afternoon of shopping at the nearby shopping centre. I had often wondered when I would have the opportunity to try this restaurant which boasts excellent reviews and inviting discounts with The Fork. No sooner said than done, I book with a 30% discount and we arrive shortly afterwards. The place is not exactly the most pleasant in the world, in a peripheral crossroads of Bolzaneto, almost under a viaduct. The dining room is upstairs and is almost full. It's not just a pizzeria and my wife naturally loves seafood dishes. First we order sea bass ravioli with seafood and pansotti in walnut sauce. Both excellent and the ravioli also beautiful and plentiful. For the second course, a mixed grill of fish and my usual margherita pizza. Both really good. All naturally washed down with a nice big bottle of beer. To finish we allow ourselves a portion of discreet profiteroles to share. Quick service and extremely courteous staff. Single toilet but in fair condition. Discount correctly applied by making two receipts. Only the 2 euro cover charge is questionable. Definitely recommended restaurant for those who are not looking for a trendy place. I don't usually give 5 stars but in these conditions I'll go a little wider and give them.
