They know how to transform food into a divine experience, with great imagination, skill, experience, and high-quality ingredients. Highly recommended! In the summer and spring, you can also dine outside. An accessible way for everyone to enjoy life.

02/04/2026: I don't usually eat cheese focaccia, but I have to say this one really raised the bar for Recco cheese focaccia. It may sound strange coming from me, but it was so good, I even had to ask for a second helping. :) We had a table of ten, and the kids were all very excited, not to mention us adults 😊. 09/04/2026: Absolutely delicious food in a centrally located, traditional, and welcoming location. The owner's kindness in offering us every recommendation, including for sightseeing, left us speechless and brought prestige to Genoa and the Genoese. We even returned for dinner after enjoying divine pesto and focaccia for lunch!

05/04/2026: This restaurant is located practically beneath the Porta Soprana in Genoa, making it easily accessible for tourists. Diners are seated at the entrance on stools arranged around a barrel, or in an ancient cellar reached by steep steps where a musty smell can be felt. The young staff does everything they can to satisfy the customer's needs, but the service is extremely slow, and the €2 cover charge, which covers a placemat and paper napkin, does not automatically include bread and/or breadsticks, which must be requested from the waitress. I would therefore say this is an exaggeration. The Wi-Fi doesn't work. The pasta isn't bad, but it's ruined by the excessive saltiness of the pesto. The carafe white wine is pleasant. An experience not to be repeated.

06/04/2026: Outstanding hotel in a very convenient location, walking distance to the cruise port and train station. I wouldn't consider the rooms to be 5-star, but the common areas of the hotel definitely are. The tub/shower in the room was a miss, but everything else was fantastic.

02/04/2026: A first class 5 star hotel, with marvelous decor. Our room was queen size, bed was very comfy, coffee and tea is provided with minibar. The bathroom was clean and spacious with towel robes also provided. Breafast was superb. Close to shops and resteraunts, and train station few minutes walk away. Highly Recommended this hotel.

From the aperitif on the terrace, with Genoa at our feet, to the attention to detail in every traditional Ligurian dish, everything exuded elegance without excess. 15/04/2026: We chose La Locanda del Monte to celebrate our wedding, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The aperitif in the outdoor area, with a breathtaking view of the entire city, opened the evening in a magical way. The atmosphere was enchanting: refined and perfect for such a special moment. The menu featured traditional Ligurian dishes revisited with elegance and taste, all exquisite and presented with great attention to detail. Each course spoke of the region, without ever being banal. The staff was impeccable and truly professional, discreet yet always present. A heartfelt thank you to Raffaella: she organized every aspect with precision and sensitivity, making us feel pampered from start to finish. A place where beauty, authentic flavors, and hospitality come together. We recommend it to anyone looking for an experience to remember.

15/04/2026: A very pleasant time was had by all, with the aroma of the wood fire from the "two ovens." The pizzas were excellent and the service was very friendly.

10/04/2026: The atmosphere is that of an intimate, small, and comfortable tavern. The perfect spot for a quaint alleyway. The service is quick and attentive, thanks to its authenticity. The host and host explain the dishes, which are excellent in their simplicity. Compliments to the chef, who is skilled at preparing and displaying the dishes simply. It was a great evening. Everyone was happy (2 adults, 2 teenagers, and 1 child). The experience was excellent, and the price was very fair.

06/04/2026: Despite being a regular stop in Genoa, on this last visit I didn't find the same quality of the dishes that distinguishes the usual standards. Has the management changed? While it remains a good experience, I hope for a return...to the past in the future.

I ate really well; the calamari melted in my mouth, amazing! I would recommend all the dishes we chose, they were all excellent! Highly recommended! We will definitely be back!

07/03/2026: A beautiful place in the heart of Genoa's alleys, where you can try excellent bruschetta, fresh cured meat platters, tartare, and a variety of cheeses. The options are extensive, and it's fun (as well as delicious) to try the most interesting and unusual pairings. The wine and beer selection is also extensive. The staff is very friendly and helpful; they even found us a table on a Friday evening even though we hadn't booked (which we recommend). The place is beautiful and has a rustic feel!
