Au Café Restaurant In Genova

The ingredients are very fresh and the presentation is exquisite. We didn’t make a reservation and pressed the doorbell to enter. We only speak Chinese, but it didn’t affect our communication. The store manager specially downloaded a Chinese translation. It was a very enjoyable meal.

The stockfish is good, it's a shame that the side dishes don't exist... they have neither vegetables nor salad. Prices a little above average.

Simply amazing! Happened to pass by this small restaurant tucked in the corner beside Via Garibaldi. The owner is an elderly gentleman, speaks amazing English, and is probably the kindest, most hospitable person I’ve come across in Italy. The menu is small, but well rounded. Truly a hidden gem.

We had dinner at this restaurant and had a great time. Excellent cuisine, delicious dishes, we had pansotti with meat sauce, pansotti with walnut sauce, trofie with pesto, crepes with artichokes, all superb. Very soft and delicate Ligurian stocco. Amazing pears with eggnog. Excellent wine. Furthermore, the place is delicious and intimate in the historic center. The owner was very welcoming. Absolutely coming back.

The food was good. The service too. Only the prices for the food were too high.

Situato in pieno centro città, in un angolo appartato vicino alla pregevole Via Garibaldi, si trova questo ristorante, molto intimo e accogliente. I piatti sono tutti ben eseguiti, molto equilibrati nei sapori. Sono presenti alcuni piatti classici della cucina genovese come l’ottimo minestrone, le trofie al pesto, i pansoti e i ravioli di borragine al “tuccu”. In stagione non si può perdere l’eccellente cappon magro, servito con un gradevole consommé. Tra i secondi, nella stagione invernale, molto buono il Roast-beef con il purè. Dolci ottimi, da non perdere la crema catalana, la bavarese con lo zabaione e le pere anch’esse con lo zabaione. Molto consigliato! Molto consigliato!
