05/09/2025: We had all-you-can-eat sushi two nights in a row with our family of five. The food was truly amazingly delicious. Nothing to complain about! However, the first night our food arrived very quickly, and the second night it took too long for us. That was a bit of a shame. Overall, everyone was very friendly, but I think it was due to the crowds. Reservations are recommended!

04/09/2025: All-you-can-eat sushi in the evenings and on weekends for around €30 per person, for people over 130cm tall, excluding drinks. Absolutely delicious. We went here two nights in a row. Great service. The second night had a longer wait for our food than the first. Perhaps the second night was even busier, although both nights seemed full, which is a good sign when everyone comes here. A huge selection of food, including mussels and various meat dishes in addition to the sushi. Highly recommended!

27/08/2025: Very nice. I'd been to this place years ago, when they opened, and I found another location next door. Photos of this experience? Unfortunately, no...we left for the ravioli in Ternano, in Valbrevenna. Considering the line, we'd have dinner at 10 p.m., so, super hungry, we headed to where I'd been several years ago. There's a wide selection of pinsas, platters, first and second courses, including grilled ones, and of course, excellent beer. I chose the traditional pinsa, a light dough, excellent tomato and mozzarella, with a glass of Nebbiolo delle Langhe Alte Rocche Bianche, and I can assure you, the wines are also excellent.

06/10/2025: Visiting the Rolli palaces is very interesting. Not all of these palaces have preserved their interiors, but the Red Palace is the richest in this regard, boasting high-quality works of art, numerous frescoes, and authentic interior furnishings. The White Palace also has paintings by Rubens, for example, while the Tursi Palace boasts a statue by Canova and violins once played by Poganini. The tour includes a visit to the courtyard between the palaces. I really wanted to see the standard of living of the Genoese nobility, and a visit to this museum gives a complete picture. They also host temporary exhibitions. In short, it's the whole package.

24/09/2025: Palazzo Rosso is part of a trio of palaces, along with Palazzo Bianco and Palazzo Doria-Tursi, that can be visited as part of the Musei di Strada Nuova. A combined admission ticket to the Musei di Strada Nuova costs 9 euros. There was no long line at the ticket office. I recommend leaving this castle to the very end. It is one of the best-preserved examples of Genoese Baroque architecture and one of the palaces listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the Palazzi dei Rolli system. Built between 1671 and 1677 for the Brignole-Sale family, one of the wealthiest and most influential families in Genoa, it owes its name to the red façade, characteristic of this building. In 1874, Maria Brignole-Sale, Duchess of Galliera, donated the palace and its collections to the city, thus initiating the establishment of a public museum. The façade is in the late Baroque style, distinguished by its decorative details and intense color. The interiors are richly decorated with frescoes and stuccos, including those by Gregorio De Ferrari and Domenico Pioli. The palace retains the layout of a typical Genoese aristocratic residence, with stately halls and private apartments. The collection is one of the most valuable paintings in Genoa, encompassing works by Italian, Flemish, Spanish, and French masters. The only thing the palace staff should have paid attention to is the state of the restrooms. I'm horrified to conclude that dingy visitor bathrooms, without a toilet seat and with a broken cistern, are a shameful standard in Italy. Shameful!!!

17/10/2025: The best pesto, truly! The atmosphere is beautiful and pleasant. The staff is polite, but a bit slow. The quality of the ingredients is sensational. The portions of the main courses could be larger, but nothing that detracts. It's definitely worth it. It's not cheap, but everything is very good.

16/10/2025: Everything was just perfect here: the service, the ambiance, and, of course, the food. Some dishes were even prepared at the table, a feast not only for the taste buds but also for the eyes. A truly successful evening for us!

15/10/2025: One of Genova’s best kept food secrets. This can easily be ranked as one of the city’s best pizzas, but given it has just a few seats and it’s open at lunchtime only, it’s rarely visited by tourists. However, if you want a very good pizza with a crunchy dough and tasty toppings, with a few euros you will have it! Quality/price ratio is unbelievable. And you can eat it in the garden nearby Colombo’s house or in Piazza Matteotti in a sunny day for a true Genoese experience!

30/08/2025: A truly pleasant experience. We started with a glass of crisp, fragrant Vermentino, perfect for accompanying the delicate and well-balanced scallops on a potato cream. Next, the Ligurian-style catch of the day, perfectly cooked and rich in flavor. Friendly service, a refined, relaxed atmosphere. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! Highly recommended.

24/09/2025: While walking around the old streets of Genoa we discovered a gem of a restaurant. It was small and had an intimate feeling about it so we made a booking. The interior was absolutely beautiful, elegant and decorated with amazing furnishings, memorabilia from days gone by and with extremely comfortable seating. We had a wonderful dinner, the food was beautifully presented and really delicious. Maurizio, the owner, made the evening one to remember, he was such a lovely man who was happy to chat with us throughout the evening. We would highly recommend Au Cafe to anyone who likes good food , fine dining and a great atmosphere. Thank you Maurizio for a great night. Andrew & Gisella.

17/09/2025: Since 2010, whenever I've been in Genoa, it's been a regular stop. This elegant restaurant serves carefully prepared traditional dishes, with competent and very friendly service from the owner. I've never had the same kind of pasta with green beans and potatoes as I've eaten here!

02/10/2025: Highly recommended if you're passing through or near the airport. Unbeatable value for money, and they're very friendly. I should also add that the bathroom was spotless. They even gave us a free bag. Thank you so much for everything!

28/09/2025: Last night we improvised a family pizza, 5 of us arrived without a reservation and after 10 minutes they sat us down, fantastic pizza, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and everything super, the only problem (but it doesn't depend on them) is that they are far from us, otherwise we would always be there 🤣, we will definitely be back with great pleasure, thanks for everything

02/09/2025: The staff were kind and polite. The Florentine steak didn't satisfy me very much, partly because I asked for it to be rare and it arrived a bit overcooked and a bit sinewy.

Service was friendly and attentive, even as the place filled up with locals (always the best sign!). Tip: If you’re tight on time, grab a taxi to make sure you can fit this in before heading back to the ship. But if you’ve got the afternoon free, enjoy the walk into town and let this be your reward at the end. 🍷🇮🇹

26/09/2025: Buonissimo! While passing through Santa Margherita Ligure, we were looking for a place to eat and decided to go to Oca Bianca. And from the starter to the dessert, we were not disappointed! Everything was perfect!! We received a very warm welcome, with very pleasant and friendly staff. And the food was simply delicious!! It's simple: I'd love the same restaurant in Geneva so I could go there every week! 🤍
