28/07/2025: A charming and elegant family-run establishment where customer service and courtesy are hallmarks. The cuisine's strength is the choice of raw materials, much of which comes from the restaurant's own biodynamic garden. Let's get to dinner: a welcome drink with battered zucchini flowers; an appetizer of Cabannina tartare and vegetarian taco; tagliolini with porcini mushrooms for the first course; and a main course of venison chops with a red fruit compote, caramelized onions, and kiwi mustard. Homemade bread and focaccia are served. To finish, a fragrant melon parfait and a delicate interpretation of the classic Saint-Honoré. A pleasant surprise is the use of edible flower petals to garnish appetizers and desserts. All accompanied by an Ovada by Alvio Pestarino, selected from a fine wine list. Coffee made with a moka pot. A decidedly positive experience. Next time, I'll try the seafood dishes, which promise equally as much.

I found a STAR with a mix of refined typical cuisine and very interesting innovations... the mise en place and service performed by young but extremely up-to-the-minute girls, with the kitchen's indulgence in small whims-pampering, gave my parents in their nineties a sensational 65th wedding anniversary... 04/10/2025: Last Wednesday, we dined at this charming trattoria, located directly across from the Genova Costa train station in Sestri Ponente. It was featured in the latest edition of Alessandro Borghese's Quattro Ristoranti, a special dedicated to the best restaurants with fresh pasta workshops. The location is simple, but with a beautiful summer terrace surrounded by greenery. It offers simple cuisine, but with an excellent selection of ingredients. The wine list is very interesting, with excellent value, including an excellent Grillo Vigne di Mandrianova 2022 from the Alessandro di Camporeale winery in Camporeale (PA), which paired perfectly with the dishes. We first shared the mixed antipasto, including freshly made farinata, sardenaira, brandacujuïn, and marinated anchovies. We then continued, each choosing the tagliatelle verde al ragù bianco (onion, carrot, and meat) as our first course, which was truly excellent. For main courses, we had Ligurian-style rabbit and braised beef in Nizza, served with baked potatoes. Both dishes were delicious! Finally, the desserts, both homemade and incredibly simple, included a panna cotta with rose syrup and a light lemon cake. A glass of water and two coffees rounded out a truly delicious dinner, bringing the bill to €95 for two, which is extremely reasonable considering the quality of the dishes we enjoyed. It goes without saying that this place is highly recommended; we can't wait to return! Bravo!

18/09/2025: @NotsochillPhil on YouTube. I had my lunch here while in Genoa and I would highly recommend this place. See my short on YouTube we had Pesto Gnocchi and Truffle Ravioli with a small dessert of tiramisu. I had a large Gnocchi and the Mrs had a medium Ravioli and it was plenty. The dishes are served in paper bowls with a flour tortilla but dont let this put you off as I wish mine didn't have to end. 😀

21/09/2025: The cuisine deserves an A+, the only flaw is that the dessert is not up to the standard of the other dishes which are superb, the minestrone and perfect ravioli… roast beef, and meat with peas… spectacular… we ate inside the restaurant which was consequently a bit noisy, but we are waiting for the next nice season because in the garden it must be a spectacle.

26/09/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem for Family Dining! We stumbled upon this lovely traditional family restaurant through our travels, and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming — the kind of place where you can relax and truly enjoy a meal with loved ones. The menu had a great variety of classic dishes, all clearly made with care and authentic flavors. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the Tiramisu was the absolute highlight — hands down one of the best we've ever had! Light, creamy, perfectly balanced… it was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a cozy, family-run spot with amazing food and a relaxed vibe, this is it. We’ll definitely be back!

20/09/2025: The view of Genoa is priceless, and in the summer, dinner in the church square is unrivaled. It's certainly not easy to get to, but fortunately you'll find private parking. The menu offers an excellent selection, including seafood. Everything is high-quality and excellent. Add to that the friendly, polite, and knowledgeable service. The wine selection is good. Prices are slightly above average, but definitely justified. Visit privately to believe it.

18/10/2025: For someone like me coming from Genoa, it's quite inconvenient to get to Taverna (about 68 km), and the prices are quite high, although next time I go I'll just order the all-you-can-eat ravioli and maybe a dessert. Let's say two people can go once a season.

30/08/2025: If you want to eat excellent Ligurian-style stockfish, this is the place to go. It's best to book for lunch. This is a no-frills place where your palate will find what it desires. Well done 👏👏👏👏

06/10/2025: Comment on our stay at the Grand Hotel Savoia in Genoa. We spent two very pleasant nights at the Grand Hotel Savoia in Genoa, a splendid establishment where we fully appreciated the comfort of the premises, the quality of the services, and the varied and generous breakfast. The welcome and attentiveness of the staff deserve to be highlighted. We also took advantage of the proximity of the hotel's two restaurants, Tralalêro and Salgari, where we dined back-to-back. Unfortunately, our culinary experiences at both establishments did not live up to the hotel's standards. At Tralalêro, all dishes were served on cold plates, which detracted from the enjoyment of the dishes. Furthermore, a dish of bacalao, clearly too cold, seemed fresh from the refrigerator and had to be returned to the kitchen. At Salgari, the situation was similar: cold plates and an interminable wait for six seafood risottos, which were ultimately served barely warm, even though there were only a dozen guests in the room. To our surprise, the risotto was an unappealing turquoise blue, garnished with a few mussels and topped with a shrimp covered in sun-dried tomato skin. We would like to point out that these comments are made in a constructive spirit. It would be helpful to inform the kitchen teams at these two restaurants that guests are provided with a warming tray at breakfast, proof that it is entirely possible to serve food at a suitable temperature in this high-end establishment. Aside from these culinary disappointments, our stay at the Grand Hotel Savoia will remain a very pleasant memory, and we hope that these observations will help further improve the quality of the guest experience.

05/10/2025: Very easy to access by car. Valet parking for €28. Barely more expensive than a local parking lot. And you can leave your car keys there with complete confidence. Very well-located hotel. For three days we explored the city on foot. Only praise for everything. The welcome, the kindness of the staff, the comfort of the room. I highly recommend it.

30/09/2025: A lovely surprise! Good food, simple and welcoming atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, and a portion size appropriate for the quality of the food. I particularly enjoyed the green ravioli with mushrooms: truly delicious and unique!
