Wonderful experience in the center of Genoa. The owner of this restaurant was efficient in handling our reservation for 18 people, and was very quick to serve upon our arrival despite the variety of choices. Simple, essential and clean environment and familiar and friendly service.

Typical Genoese trattoria. Superlative pesti: I can't stand garlic and I didn't realize I ate it! The bread is good and the focaccia is excellent! Strictly homemade pasta! Well done!

Sono andato al San Carlo Sabato scorso per la seconda volta. Ottima trattoria, cucina Genovese con contaminazioni sarde. Piatti ben fatti e prezzi più che ragionevoli. Rapporto Qualità / Prezzi molto buono.

Cibo impeccabile, personale gentilissimo e atmosfera che mi faceva sentire un gentleman degli anni ruggenti che ascolta jazz mentre sorseggia scotch e fuma il suo cubano (ho 18 anni)

25/09/2023: Very kind staff. Excellent, artisanal ice cream, with a wide choice. A little penalized by the location outside the historic center and on the provincial road. Possibility to consume inside. Dogs allowed. Waste recycling available to customers with clear indications.

16/02/2024: Posto perfetto per una serata informale, cucina casalinga, cibo fresco e curato. Ci siamo stati la prima sera e poi ci siamo tornati dopo aver provato altri risoranti a Santa Margherita. Eravamo in sei più una bimba, siamo stati accolti con una frittatina alle verdure mentre decidevamo cosa ordinare. Ottima la grigliata di pesce e crostacei, eccellente il fritto misto, ma anche il branzino alla griglia. Consiglio caldamente il loro minestrone alla ligure. La simpatia e la disponibilità del titolare Roberto completano l'esperienza più che positiva.
