Simple, almost refined, delicious. We went in on a whim, and we don't regret it. The gnocchi are melt-in-your-mouth. The breaded anchovies are good. The desserts are just as good. The service is pleasant and quick. This is our second visit. What did I say the first time? "Almost refined." Simply refined!

Small, cozy, clean. Delicious food, very attentive service. It's a small place and the menu is short but everything was delicious, simple and homemade. We had ravioli ragu, pansotti with walnut sauce, and picagge (very wide fettuccini) with perfect genovese pesto. The bread basket was also delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

We had such a wonderful lunch at Trattoria San Carlo and left absolutely delighted. The atmosphere was warm and inviting — cozy, authentic, and full of charm. The staff made us feel very welcome and the whole experience felt genuinely Italian and relaxed. I ordered the gnocchi with tomato and octopus, and it was outstanding. The gnocchi were perfectly soft and pillowy, the tomato sauce rich and flavourful. The octopus was tender and beautifully cooked, tying the whole dish together perfectly. My husband had the pansotti con salsa noci, and it was exceptional. The pansotti were delicate and generously filled, and the walnut sauce was creamy, smooth, and full of flavour — rich without being heavy. A true classic done beautifully. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and you can really feel the care in each dish. We highly recommend it and look forward to coming back!

I was there today when the new management opened. The pesto was fabulous, and the fried food was superb too! Excellent wine. In short, it's definitely a place to return to and bring friends from outside Genoa to make a good impression.

Every time I eat here, everything is perfect. The food is phenomenal, with a truly unique flavor. There's a lot of high-quality Genoese cuisine. The desserts are really good.

16/03/2026: We went to this restaurant last Tuesday with my sister as a gift for my father. The dinner was superb: we chose the lobster menu, which included an appetizer, first course, second course, and dessert. We put ourselves in the hands of the chef, who absolutely did not disappoint. The fish was fresh, delicious, perfectly cooked, generous portions, and all accompanied by a wine pairing. The restaurant was well-kept, clean, and especially beautiful was the dining room where we were seated. Special mention for the person who served us: Romeo, extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Keep him close, he'll make the restaurant stand out!
