12/08/2025: We only ate here one evening but the service was excellent, super friendly; the food was fantastic (two pizzas and we tried several desserts, so great! So happy to find a place here that doesn't think apple strudel is the height of culinary achievement!) (We had the tiramisu, crème brûlée and pannacotta, all recommended). I had 3 beers because I had thought earlier in the day I was going to die so it was great, they were tasty, not the best beer ever but suitable. Loved this place and would eat there again.

10/07/2025: I'm editing my blank review (which only had a star rating) in your response, so I can clarify that we arrived at 8:05 PM and our order was taken at 8:18 PM (the time you indicated in the first comment, which you removed) only because we had to wait for someone to come to our table: it wasn't our choice. The pizzas actually arrived after a 35-minute wait, which is still excessive for two simple pizzas in a restaurant that wasn't particularly busy. Even though you've edited your response, I'm also responding to your diaper change request (since I received the first version by email and read it): it wasn't a lack of respect, but a necessity. There was no changing table in the bathroom, and I used a changing mat in an empty area of the restaurant, out of respect for other customers and the cleanliness of the place. I understand the sensitivity of the topic, but it would be helpful for a family-friendly restaurant to have a changing table, to avoid similar situations (since, from what you wrote, you consider it so serious to see a mother changing a baby's diaper stained with tomato sauce). My review is honest and not offensive, as demonstrated by the three-star rating for the food. I'm sorry that the restaurant's response was so personal and used inappropriate words (such as "lies," "bullshit," and "frustrated people") toward a customer who simply gave one star for the wait. Constructive criticism is accepted with professionalism, even when it's unpleasant. A piece of advice for you: instead of inviting those who report the inconvenience of the wait to "eat at home," it would have been more helpful to apologize or offer a coffee: a small gesture of courtesy demonstrates care and helps build customer loyalty. 30/07/2025: It's the perfect agriturismo if you want to relax. We had a wonderful time; the peace and quiet are truly breathtaking. The vine-covered pergola is a lovely place to read and chat while admiring the greenery and undisturbed by distractions.

29/07/2025: This was a very special stay for us; the landscape, vineyards and gardens were an ideal setting to recharge after a busy year, not least because Luca and Paul are such generous, dedicated hosts. Paul’s cooking is exceptional and the dining setting under a deep, broad pergola of fruiting vines is so beautiful. Plus I’m in love with the dogs and the white peafowl as they roam around.

19/07/2025: Antica Osteria in the center offers traditional Friulian cuisine with Slovenian influences, being close to the border. It offers authentic, home-cooked food, not to be missed if you're passing through!

22/07/2025: A typical 70s/80s location that's more than adequate for an Osteria. Friendly and courteous staff, generous portions, excellent San Daniele ham, good Frico, very good goulash, and we finished with the Peperonata, which tasted like my mother's... Amazing! Congratulations to everyone!!!

05/08/2025: The food is average, but it's best to ask for specifics, especially the weight of the fillet... and then carefully check the bill before paying. Such tricks, which pass for errors, are intolerable. I'll keep the receipt as a warning. So, let me clarify what I think the tricks are: 1. After asking how much the fillet weighed, we were assured it was 200-220 grams, not 320 grams as it arrived—hard to eat it all. 2. The receipt was printed after we'd paid, and upon leaving, we found that the wine, which we hadn't consumed, had also been charged. This is a lack of attention. To my disfavor... I didn't go back to complain, only out of modesty, but the review is a warning to anyone who frequents you.

15/07/2025: A little gem hidden in the heart of Trieste! Buffet Da Gildo is a cozy, simple place with an authentic atmosphere, far removed from mass tourism. Perfect for those who want to discover the typical flavors of local tradition. The service is fast, always friendly, and attentive. The menu showcases the influences of the city of Trieste, the people who have inhabited and passed through it, with dishes made only with top-quality ingredients. The gnocchi with goulash are absolutely not to be missed: the sauce is rich and flavorful, while the gnocchi melt in your mouth. The sardines are also excellent, fresh and crispy. Although for me, a special mention goes to the sandwich with hand-sliced cooked ham, enriched with fried eggplant, mustard, and horseradish: a strong and authentic combination, worth the visit alone. The prices are truly fair, especially considering the quality of the ingredients.

25/06/2025: Passing through Gorizia we came across this little restaurant where we found excellent quality food, excellent house wine at a more than reasonable price and above all great friendliness of the owners. I recommend the linguine with clams, really very good, and the fried calamari, light and crunchy. We will definitely try to return!

10/06/2025: Everything about this experience delivered above and beyond any expectations. The pictures do not do it justice, the food here was some of the best of my trip and even of my life (pork cheeks and chestnuts). This meal was traditional yet creative and comfortable truly delicious end to end with amazing hospitality throughout.

23/07/2025: We stayed at the Best Western above the restaurant. We decided to order take out which they estimated to be a 30 minute wait. It ended up being 1 hour and 30 minutes. When we got our food they forgot the rice and the milkshakes we ordered for the kids were slosh and warm. When I brought the milkshakes back down they said they were perfectly fine when they gave them to us. With less than 5 minutes from the time I received them and the time I returned them this was obviously not the case. We were so disappointed. I think in the future maybe they shouldn’t do take out as it seemed they didn’t know how to manage it. For the price we paid for good food I expected more.

The hospitality left us speechless, thanks especially to our waiter Marko, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Every detail was handled with care and professionalism. The highlight of our visit was the private tour of the wine cellar, which truly amazed us. It was both informative and beautifully presented, adding a special touch to an already unforgettable day. Highly recommended!

26/07/2025: We stopped for dinner since it was close to our hotel. The hostess was very kind, she immediately put us at ease and gave us a detailed description of the menu. The appetizers are fabulous, but so is everything else, especially the tiramisu made with Raveo's S-shaped biscuits.

23/07/2025: We were there for work, but I'd also go back for pleasure. The place is very welcoming, the lady was very kind, the food was delicious, we were very satisfied. The mandi appetizer is delicious, made with the produce harvested or grown on site. The cjarsons, tagliatelle, and pear and frant triangles were also excellent. The desserts are also delicious! Everything is homemade!
