31/08/2025: Albergo Ristorante Pizzeria Dal Asin is located in Majano, opposite the Mother Church of Saints Peter and Paul, a short walk from the town center. It's set back from the road, but for this very reason, it's sheltered from traffic noise. The location is good, allowing you to walk to the town center for an ice cream or coffee. We stayed one night and ate dinner that evening a few months ago. The rooms are a good size, with the bathroom near the entrance. The furnishings are modern and attractive, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our room, despite facing the outdoor terrace equipped with tables, chairs, and umbrellas, wasn't disturbed by the restaurant/pizzeria customers. We took advantage of the pizzeria/restaurant on the ground floor of the building for dinner. The pizza was good, and the prices were good. There's a fabulous indoor area equipped for children's entertainment, an excellent option for families with small children. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property has a large parking lot available to both restaurant and hotel guests. Both the parking lot and the entrance are accessible to both strollers and wheelchairs.

02/10/2025: After Mass on a Sunday, had light lunch. Wonderfully pleasant place and great service. The FRICO is amazing—local potato-cheese pancake. A must try. The TIRAMISU was incredible—though often thought to be of Venice origin, there’s a valid debate it’s Fruli!!

28/09/2025: I have never had a pizza as delicious as this restaurant. This restaurant is quite crowded and probably mostly locals. I recommend everyone to come here to visit the ancient citadel and enjoy pizza (I ordered the one with pistachios).

02/09/2025: The restaurant is a bit dated, but you can also eat outside. They have a menu, both meat and fish. The garden is very beautiful and well-kept. The people who served us were very friendly and quick. They were also good at giving us advice. Only the scallops had a bit of sand... a shame. The turbot was excellent, well-cooked and, above all, well-prepared. In my humble opinion, the price was a bit high, but the fish was fresh. For two, there was an appetizer, a first course, and a turbot for two, with a bottle of water, a half-liter of house galera, and a coffee. We spent €92. We will definitely be back.

08/09/2025: We had a great 6€ Tommaseo coffee and a piece of cake for 8€ was also good...but the atmosphere in the coffee shop was great... btw the entrance is to the right of the restaurant entrance.

02/10/2025: Aperitif for 4 Aperol we had to ask for an accompaniment (served without savoury snacks) they brought us 4 miserable pieces of focaccia (1 cm X 1 cm dry)!! Dorbolo !!!!!!!!!!!

14/09/2025: The best. It surpasses ALL the deli meats in the supermarkets: in fact, you won't find it in the malls. Hams hung on wooden scaffolding like they have been for thousands of years. Go there. Money well spent. They also have other good deli meats, but the prosciutto crudo is beyond.

Sergio and his mother welcomed us warmly, passionately sharing the history and production of their products. The hams were exceptional and the atmosphere was family-friendly. 06/10/2025: This small restaurant in Servola, a medieval village near Trieste, occupies a house built in the days of horse-drawn carriages, mules, and carriages. Today, cars barely fit, while buses glide past the walls, never losing their momentum. A first-time visitor is left feeling a bit incredulous, as if they've just stepped through a time portal: narrow, curving streets, stone houses, and "mules" savoring delicacies that nourish the soul more than the body. The tables look like they've stepped out of the golden age of Italian cinema, the kind you'd expect from a comedy starring Alberto Sordi. An orderly line on the outdoor terrace, and a cozy indoor dining room that smells of authentic everyday life, albeit with an American name. Here, service is quick and the food is quick, but not in a rush. No draft beer: only bottles, juices, and cold drinks from the dining room's refrigerator. There are a few main courses, such as chicken breast or steak, but the heart of the menu is spaghetti (or its short cousin), served still steaming hot and without too many frills. Every now and then you'll find a solitary customer or patient, indulging in a psychiatric session of gastronomic self-care at a reasonable price, but more often it's couples and groups of friends who fill the tables, transforming a lunch break or dinner into a small shared ritual. Servola has many views that tell the story of the city, but this place tells another story: that of simple, fast, and authentic food. Here, you don't dine; you participate. Enjoy your meal.
