23/02/2025: Frequento da molti anni questo ristorante, a mio parere il migliore della zona. Materie prime freschissime cucinate con sapienza, porzioni giuste tendenti all’abbondante. Menù variegato con prezzi onesti. Unico neo i tempi di attesa per l’arrivo della prima portata, anni fa veniva servito un entre che li smorzava. Comunque bravi, la bontà percepita fa superare il disagio iniziale.
17/02/2025: Malgrado siano sulla guida Michelin, hanno prezzi onesti e non presentano i propri piatti con decorazioni "lunari", atte solo a spillare più quattrini del dovuto.

29/03/2025: A must-have every time you visit Grado, a pizza from Mister Oregano! Not a classic pizza, not even Neapolitan, you have to like the dough, thickly topped with lots of mozzarella. Every pizza can and will be topped as desired. I don't understand other reviews that report unfriendliness, we were greeted and served very friendly every year, but the restaurant is self-service. We recommend the Calmari fritti, but also any pizza in any color.

10/04/2025: La comida aquí es deliciosa y el servicio es muy amable. Nos quedamos especialmente impresionados por una señora encantadora que sirvió a nuestra familia de cinco de Polonia casi todos los días con una sonrisa y amabilidad. La pizza era increíble, y también probamos otros platos italianos por primera vez, todos ellos eran absolutamente sabrosos. Muy recomendable!
27/02/2025: Fragrant and tasty thin pizza. I was expecting more choice in typical mountain dishes given that this place wasn't once a pizzeria, but boasted a roadside sign reading "FRICO AND POLENTA".... so I was a bit disappointed.

16/02/2025: Personally the best pizzeria in Trieste. Discovered by chance, it turned out to be a gem. Wide choice of pizzas also with local ingredients, unquestionable quality, very fast service and friendly staff. I also recommend the Italian starter: plentiful and delicious. Prices are competitive. There is not only pizza, it is also possible to order first and second courses.

In business since 1986, the restaurant “Da Afro” offers authentic local cuisine, with a careful selection of wines and raw materials (often from his garden/farm).
They also have a hotel with 8 rooms, I recommend you try to have dinner at his place and if you are far away to stop and sleep and with the excuse drink a few more bottles.
Every time I pass by his area I stop to have a chat over a glass of wine🍷 and then eat a nice first course!
You won't regret it 😇
