Ristorante Il Patio In Bologna

We stayed here in mid-March and were very impressed overall. Our room was spacious and clean, with a good blackout too. There was complimentary bottled water in the fridge, and some nice toiletries too and free slippers. Noise from other rooms and from the corridor was minimal. Unlike other reviewers, we did not find the hotel dated (and we have stayed in many Italian and European hotels over the years). The staff were very helpful, both at checkin/out, and in the restaurant. We arrived in Bologna Centrale by train, so a taxi was the cheapest way of getting to the hotel early evening (as the hotel clearly advertises, the complimentary mini bus does not run all day). We did use the minibus in the morning to get to the airport for our flight. We ate in the hotel in the evening and the food quality was very good, even if the service was slow. We also had breakfast and it was impressive, with a good range of cold and hot food. We would certainly consider staying here again if in Bologna - thanks to all concerned for a comfortable stay!

Great location near the airport. Friendly staff, efficient check in and exit. Food at the restaurant better than expected, Ragu was yummy! Free parking. Parking was safe. Bed a bit soft for me.

For a location just next to an busy airport, you don't get to hear the airplanes taking of or landing even with the balcony door open. An amazing piece of curved building which defines the space with its functional architecture. The road up to it feels like you've took a wrong turn, but hotel parking, security and ease of use make it well worthwhile experience.

Great option for late night flights to Bologna. The shuttle bus was on time and fast. In the morning the same shuttle bus took us to the airport from where we hopped on to Marconi Express to the city center.

I'm giving it three stars because I asked for a certain check-in time, and was initially told it was fine, but then I had to wait in the lobby for four hours to get into my room. Otherwise, I would have had to pay an extra €50! Absurd.

The hotel is large, located near Bologna airport. There is a shuttle from and to the airport, which is very convenient. However, it is worth considering that the shuttle only works during certain hours. If you check in outside these hours, as was the case in our case, it is quite difficult to get to the hotel, except by taxi. The room was generally clean: clean and fresh bedding, tidy. At the same time, the condition of the bathroom was disappointing - there was mold on the tiles and in the seams, in places everything was blackened, which left an unpleasant impression. In order to spend one night before or after a flight, the hotel is generally suitable

Decent hotel and close to the airport. The service was good, no issues there. Rooms are ok. When booking we asked them to make sure our room had two beds (we booked a two-bed room) in it but when we arrived there was only one bed Food at the restaurant was decent. The pizza was ok, the pasta was pretty good. However, the service at the restaurant was amazing

The reception staff were unfriendly. The rooms lack electricity. Although the location is dark and isolated, they offer a free airport shuttle.

We booked this airport hotel on the pretense of being a short walk or hotel shuttle bus away from our terminal, as you do when you have an early flight. Unfortunately the shuttle bus is not a 24hr service and the hotel is unreachable by foot. Taxis cost around 20€ each way. We felt conned. Room was adequate for us.
