21/01/2025: Dopo tantissimi anni di assenza sono tornato al Gallo per un pranzo con amici. La fama che godeva, e che gode tuttora, di ottimo posto se si desidera mangiare carne è ampiamente meritata. Perfino con un tavolo particolarmente confusionario come il nostro il servizio è stato preciso e cortese. Una nota particolare per la tagliata, a dir poco eccellente, con la possibilità di un piccolo stravizio: farsi friggere lun uovo nell'olio di fondo dopo aver finito la carne! Vini di buona qualità. Opportuno prenotare perché è un locale molto frequentato. Conto coerente con la qualità servita.

25/02/2025: Bellissimo localino sotto i portici di Via San Felice, caratteristico e gestito davvero come una osteria, non solo nel nome. Davvero invitante per la tipologia di locale, gestito in maniera attenta e gradevole, con il titolare, si suppone il buon Mario, che gira tra i tavoli dispensando consigli, versando vino e raccontando i piatti. Cucina di buon livello, taglieri enormi di salumi, piadine e crescentia rigorosamente calde, una buona fornitura di vini e primi tradizionali e ben fatti. Ho assaggiato i tortellini cotti nel brodo e serviti col ragù alla bolognese, uno ottimo equilibrio ed una buona esplosione di sapori, con tanto di grattugiata di parmigiano fatta al momento dall'oste. Il menù offre buone opzioni, anche per vegetariani (non tanta roba ma qualcosa c'è) e all'apparenza sarebbe tutto perfetto; purtroppo c'è un limite, che non sono gli spazi ridotti del locale che, anzi, rendono il tutto persino più caratteristico, ma la gestione del conto. Al netto del fatto di non offrire un menù cartaceo (c'è giusto una lavagna all'esterno, all'ingresso, che riporta alcuni piatti prezzati) e di rendere difficoltoso conoscere tutti i costi, alcuni prezzi sono davvero importanti. I vini (anche quelli più "basici") e il coperto (3.5€) risultano decisamente importanti come costo e questo andrebbe segnalato; alla fine, con due taglieri divisi in gruppo, un primo a testa, caffè e amaro si è arrivati a 45 euro. Nulla di scandaloso considerando anche la posizione, ma l'idea di essere in una trattoria "alla mano" tradisce le aspettative se persino l'acqua arriva a 4€ a bottiglia. Prezzi poco trasparenti rendono l'esperienza un tantino sconveniente rispetto all'offerta ma è sicuramente un posto dove stare bene.

09/04/2025: Unfortunately, having good memories of past years, I returned but nothing like the old days. The smell of fried food throughout the room was unbearable. We took the bitter mixed fry with the taste of old oil including the chips. The plate of spaghetti with seafood was inedible. All to pay like a seaside restaurant.

Poor quality of food and poorly cooked, approximate and distracted service, cleanliness of the place absolutely lacking, practically non-existent value for money and when we go to pay the bill at the cash register the gentleman gets up huffing after he has finished doing his thing on the phone! Never again

21/09/2024: The restaurant is completely outdoors, typically summer, with tables and sofas that create a nice atmosphere. Recommended to go for an aperitif at sunset. Fair value for money and good service

24/08/2024: The restaurant is located in a beautiful area on the Bolognese hills; currently it is not particularly convenient to reach (to the detriment of the name) as Via dei Colli (the quickest route leading to the premises on the hills) is closed, so it can take up to 20-25 minutes from the city centre. The post-dinner situation is nice with current and lounge music carefully selected by the DJ. Finally, the staff is always friendly and quick in service.

17/03/2025: Dopo tanta pioggia e allerta rossa, finalmente una bella giornata di sole. Ci gustiamo la favorevolissima posizione dei tavoli all’aperto dell’Osteria, sulla bella piazza Santo Stefano. E’ “solo” per un aperitivo ma il servizio è buono, le bevande fresche, i crostini caldi e le bruschette gustose. Promosso.

30/01/2025: Paramos aquí para almorzar y me alegro de haberlo hecho. No estaba ocupado, el personal era atento. Tomamos una buena copa de vino, partimos una ensalada, luego mi esposo tomó los tortellini en brodo y yo tomé la lasaña. ¡Qué maravillosa introducción a la cocina boloñesa! Nunca volveré a comer lasaña de otra manera - fue increíble y una porción de buen tamaño. El tortellini en brodo también era bastante bueno. Nos sentimos bien atendidos para el almuerzo.

28/10/2024: The place only offers pizzas with few options but the quality is good. I really like the outside area, in summer it is really pleasant, with an aperitif kiosk for dinner attached. It also has private parking as it is not easy to park in the area. The service was poor, the girl had probably just been hired and wasn't even motivated, I guess that's not the rule.

05/10/2024: Family brunch, we arrived at 3pm and even though it was after closing time they welcomed us. All very good

Despite some unexpected events on our part, they were able to guarantee a perfect evening for me and the group with which I presented myself after a work conference, demonstrating an extraordinary ability to adapt and dedicate. A service that goes beyond expectations. I will definitely be back!
