27/08/2025: After more than 40 years, I'll never go back.
It's become a Chinese restaurant, and the pizza quality is identical to an Egyptian takeout, maybe worse, with a Margherita for €3-4. The price of a Margherita, €6.90, is outrageous. Like at the supermarket. "Cardboard" dough and low-quality basic ingredients (tomato and mozzarella) in very small quantities.
Inedible.

17/08/2025: We're not from San Lazzaro, and we go there on purpose; we always enjoyed going there, even when they were in the "old" place.
The pizza is one of the best; even taking it home is still excellent; it's probably due to the quality of the ingredients and the love the pizza chefs put into it.
And since it's a quiet place, you can really feel at ease even eating it there.

14/12/2025: My partner and I went to this pastry shop to enjoy a good tea with two large cream and pistachio cream puffs. The tea was good but the pastries left much to be desired, perhaps because it was late in the afternoon and in my opinion pastries should be enjoyed warm in the morning. Otherwise, the place is very welcoming with a wide selection of pastries. Excellent veranda.
09/12/2025: Excellent pastry shop with a wide variety of pastries and cakes, and good coffee too, often a weakness of many pastry shops. Ideal for a "special" breakfast thanks to a large, fully enclosed veranda that allows you to enjoy your sweet treats comfortably seated. The cakes are also very good; I tried the tiramisu bavarois, which was truly delicious. The only drawback is the difficulty with parking, which, however, is a common feature in Bologna, a city built on public transportation rather than private transportation. The staff is very kind and attentive. I return every time I come to Bologna. Highly recommended.

03/12/2025: We ate a meat-based menu for six people, with crostini and polenta with mushrooms as an appetizer, tortellini, balanzoni, and tagliatelle as a first course, and petroniana and suckling pig as a second course, and various desserts.
Everything was very good, the staff was kind and courteous.
The atmosphere was clean, a little cold, but it's always been that way.
28/11/2025: Very good fresh porcini mushrooms! Perfect place with decent prices for local homecooked dishes.

17/11/2025: An old-fashioned trattoria just off the highway, with a kind and attentive owner. The atmosphere is dated, but the food was overall good. Some dishes weren't exactly exciting, others were acceptable. The tortellini and grilled rabbit were good; the broth was flavorful and the rabbit was well-cooked. The bread was different from the usual, unsalted, perhaps a characteristic of the area. The porcini mushroom tagliatelle sauce wasn't the best; I expected nice chunks of fresh porcini mushrooms, given the time of year and the mountainous location. All in all, for a quick stop, it was definitely better than the motorway service station.

Excellent homemade first courses and meat-based second courses. The atmosphere was quiet, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the quality/price ratio was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return as soon as possible!
