17/08/2025: We're not from San Lazzaro, and we go there on purpose; we always enjoyed going there, even when they were in the "old" place. The pizza is one of the best; even taking it home is still excellent; it's probably due to the quality of the ingredients and the love the pizza chefs put into it. And since it's a quiet place, you can really feel at ease even eating it there.

20/05/2025: In my opinion something needs to be reviewed, good pizza, service needs to be reviewed, not very friendly, maybe we are not in the 80s anymore, however I do not recommend it, prices above average

15/08/2025: Service 0/10 The staff was no longer friendly, but rather pushy. Too much. Cutlery was on the wrong side, it was on the left. When taking our order, the waiter was sitting almost on the next table, or rather, leaning completely on the table. The pizza was cold when it was served. One person at our table had finished eating. The plate was removed and passed by the waitress to the other person (who was still eating). That's not how you do that. Unprofessional. We were served by four different waiters in total, even though we were almost alone there. It caused confusion. Which is why we were asked several times by different waiters after dessert and coffee. One waiter was loudly lectured in front of the guests about all the things he had done wrong. You don't have to do that in front of the guests. The music in the restaurant was much too loud; you could barely understand a word.

07/08/2025: As soon as we sat down they brought a GF menu, has a separate kitchen, the pasta was amazing, and great service. Would make a detour just to cone here.

08/09/2025: My family and I had lunch at this unfamiliar agriturismo, just 20 minutes from the center of Bologna. We dined in a charming garden featuring magnificent willow trees, a beautiful, well-maintained pool, and an English lawn. The quality food, generous portions, and the kindness and professionalism of the staff made my lunch truly special. It was a great discovery, and we'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

30/07/2025: I've been going there for years. The pizza is so good that I always order it, so this review isn't for the entire menu. However, the pizza is a normal size (not a flying disc so huge it doesn't fit on the plate, and so thin that it crumbles everywhere), and it's nice and plump without being heavy. The cheesecake is also excellent. The place is beautiful because it's rustic.

07/08/2025: Spacious and very welcoming. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making you feel at ease. The food is satisfying. I stand by what I wrote previously. I recently returned and found they were very willing to accommodate my various requests and/or requests for menu changes. Everything was excellent.

31/08/2025: Patience, that's what it takes to eat at Novella: it takes patience to get there, patience to wait (dishes are made to order and not ready-made), and patience to reserve (you need to call ahead). But it's worth it. The location isn't convenient, but you can enjoy a breathtaking view and a pleasant temperature on hot days. The menu is (apparently) sparse; it's best to wait for directions from those who come to take your order, and then you discover a list of pasta dishes served with either Bolognese ragù or with mushrooms or truffles, depending on the season, and then grilled meats: from beef to pork, including the typical mutton. Perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. The meat and homemade pasta are the highlights. The side dishes are also excellent, with friggione and potatoes being super. The platter is also interesting. The portions are generous.

24/08/2025: In the summer, an outdoor table offers a fantastic view and allows you to savor all the dishes, from starters to main courses. I highly recommend consulting the menu, otherwise, if you order by word of mouth, you might be surprised by the bill.

13/04/2025: DO NOT CELEBRATE BIRTHDAYS/EVENTS, We are bordering on a scam. Let me start by saying that the guys who work in that place are wonderful and kind. Unfortunately the management of the place is something scandalous. Given the price paid (35 euros for half a starter each and a first/second course that is necessarily the same for everyone and chosen days in advance) we expected great quality but we only got a great fuck. Absolutely nothing lived up to expectations. Poor food and questionable quality. Let's not talk about wine, it tasted like vinegar. But okay, we're nice guys and we still had a nice evening, but that place needs to be cancelled. Scandalous, shameful

31/07/2025: We stayed at the Aemelia Hotel last week (July 21 to 27) so it was natural to try their restaurant. The staff were lovely, and the atmosphere was quite nice and subdued. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. One night we each had the veal: it was overdone, dry, and tough. I could not finish mine. The second night (we were just so tired our last night in town that we caved and went again), we shared the beef carpaccio and then each had a primi piatti. The carpaccio with senape sauce was perfection (so the 3 stars). My husband had the bolognese tagliatelle and I had the lasagna. The bolognese did not have the depth of flavor that we've come to expect. The lasagna was pretty bad. I think it had been prepared and stored for maybe a week prior to when they portioned off some for me and re-heated it. I cannot recommend them if you are looking for an elevated experience in dining.

06/07/2025: Il locale mi è sempre piaciuto tantissimo e ci sono tornata dopo 1 anno trovandolo molto cambiato sia come location, sono state chiuse delle zone, che come menu’, più costoso e con porzioni risicate…sia tartare che insalata di pesce piattini piccolissimi!!!! Che delusione! Le pizze erano nella norma nota positiva “l’acqua viene offerta”
