10/05/2026: This morning 10/05/2026 I have to go and get a cake at the Filopanti bar in Budrio (BO) I gave a deposit of €10 I hope it is as I wanted it only that I have to pay the rest so I paid VAT twice on a 500g cake and it is a scam already tasted it is not as I asked with chantilly cream and all cream money wasted on a cake that has nothing to do with what I asked for I could have made it at home here this one was 500g not 1kg so you don't know how to take orders down and in addition you pay VAT only once not twice on a cake and in addition it was filled with all cream not chantilly cream you pass on your mistakes to others best regards

06/04/2026: I've known this place for decades, so I wouldn't dwell on the location, service, and presentation as many have. If you know the place, you know what, how, and where. You have to appreciate it for what it is. However, I must say that in my last experience, I no longer found the price to be in line with what I've seen. It's truly unfortunate; to sustain certain prices, you have to give a little more because you're competing with other establishments that actually offer something more.

08/02/2026: A traditional trattoria, run like it once was. If you're looking for sophisticated service, this isn't the place for you. Simple but authentic, it's like eating with family. Excellent food (call ahead for availability and menu). Recommended.

10/06/2026: I'm taking one star off because the menu isn't very varied and sometimes the kitchen doesn't get it right, but it's a bar after all, and the service is unique: they make you feel at home and are incredibly fast! Highly recommended for a lunch break!!!

12/05/2026: Quite a nice restaurant but the waiters where so rude and just grasped half full plates of food away from us without a word and delivered them back to the kitchen. We have got no clue what we did wrong, but I would not visit this place again due to this service. The food we did get to eat was nice however, so if your Italian, your probably alright.

05/05/2026: The highlight is undoubtedly the terrace overlooking the river, which makes this place truly unique in Bologna. Unfortunately, the quality of the food seems to have dropped significantly compared to years ago. The service definitely needs updating (at least a "buongiorno" would have been appreciated).

24/04/2026: The service wiped out all the stars I wanted to give it. They messed up our order, and despite repeating their advice, they insisted on charging us for things we didn't order. We ended up paying 10 euros for a juice and a sandwich, and we don't even know if they took the extras off us or not. I don't recommend it.

27/04/2026: Rudeness and prejudice. I came in looking for a cake for my son's birthday. After asking and finding nothing, I asked to use the bathroom. As soon as I left, I was accused of using the bathroom without having consumed anything. "You're required to consume anything; you only came in to use the bathroom!" I've never been treated with such arrogance, and there was no point in expecting an apology. What a disappointment!

24/04/2026: A pastry shop that really knows how to start the day off right! The selection is wide and of such high quality that it's hard to resist all that variety. But what really won me over was the helpfulness of the staff. I asked for a cappuccino with soy milk and decaf coffee, and they made it for me with no problem and a smile. It's not easy to find a café that caters to everyone's needs without making you feel like you're in the way. I'll gladly return every time I'm in the area! 🥐

01/04/2026: I was in the restaurant, ordered pizza without gluten. They put potatoes on top 🙄 just why. pizza was not good, very oily, I guess dough was not done specifically for pizza, just random dry one. My friend ordered bolognese, it was very salty and mostly without sause.

29/03/2026: Fantastic service from Salvatore! The atmosphere was great, and we received excellent guidance when choosing dishes, especially since we only eat vegetarian food. Truly outstanding service and top-level treatment from Salvatore.

27/01/2026: I assume many of the reviews are quite dated, but despite this, I decided to give the place a try. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was the unpleasant odor and the truly unacceptable level of dirtiness. Things got worse when, on my way to the bathroom, I noticed mice crawling in the back room. Despite everything, my trans friend and I decided to stay, partly because the reviews described it as a "mystical" place. It was midnight, we were both trans, we ordered drinks and took in the atmosphere: a very strange clientele, including older people playing games and "alternative"-looking 30-somethings, but with an extremely closed attitude and hostile to any attempt at socializing. The worst moment came when my friend was approached by a blonde woman, apparently a regular. A normal conversation begins, including compliments, but suddenly the woman becomes aggressive, likely under the influence of drugs, and threatens to beat my friend, even wanting to remove her makeup and wig. An absolutely unacceptable and dangerous situation. The overall atmosphere gives the impression of a place where time has stood still, but in a negative sense. I've visited "mystical" bars and clubs all over the world, and this is anything but. Either expectations in Bologna are very low, or this place is only frequented during the day for food (which is disgusting, with non-existent hygiene). At night, I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. A terrible experience in every way. It's not a safe place for LGBT+ and queer people. It's not safe for elegant or well-dressed women, as they can trigger reactions of envy and aggression. Hygiene and safety are non-existent. Never again.

25/03/2026: I stayed at this hotel restaurant and had a truly wonderful time. What I loved most was undoubtedly the food: excellent ingredients and truly outstanding quality. Special thanks to Chef Damiano for the wonderful dishes he served us.

25/03/2026: Excellent experience. I'm a business traveler, and having traveled a lot, I can honestly say I've found one of the best places for hospitality and friendliness, making me feel right at home. Definitely try the charcuterie board with Zocca tigelle, freshly made, and Damiano and Barbara's cuisine, which is nothing short of exceptional. Definitely worth returning, congratulations!!

30/03/2026: The owner yelled at us for not being "normal" because, after ordering falafel and other appetizers, we asked for pita bread to go. Having picked up the pita, and having to wait for our friends who were finishing their meatballs, we opened it and tried it. The owner became furious, saying we'd wasted his time closing the pita to take it away, and then we were eating it right there. Would I ever spend the money I earn every day to go to someone who makes me feel guilty if I try something I wanted to take away before putting it back in the bag? No matter how good it is, there are worthy rivals in all of Bologna.

19/03/2026: I've been here twice, once for a tasting with dinner and then for a wedding. Both disappointing experiences. In the first instance, a price had been agreed upon and a certain number of bottles—30, if I remember correctly—to be opened. There were about 40 of us. Before everyone arrived, about ten bottles of sparkling wine had already been opened, but that wasn't all of us. I understand the welcome aperitif, but if you, the manager, agreed on a set list of bottles to be opened, stick to it. Then, towards the end of the dinner, bottles of a different price were opened that we hadn't asked for at all... and the wine wasn't even good. The most disappointing thing was the final request for the difference. The reason? Because extra bottles had been opened. As explained before, the manager purposely opened more bottles at the beginning without everyone even being present, in order to reach the quota and automatically exceed it. For the wedding, however, the apotheosis... rationed food portions... wine? None... water? Lots of it. According to the menu, each course had its own accompanying wine... well... for most of the meal, the wine arrived after the dish was finished, and when the waiter came by, it would bring a tear to your eye, as they say in Rome... and if you asked for wine, sometimes the response was, "Wait, I'm going through the starters and then I'll be right there." The waiters, except for one young woman, weren't really professionals, more like handymen than waiters. For a service like that, you need someone who's dedicated to filling the glasses and that's it... with three people serving, you can't do everything; there were about eighty of us... instead, leave the bottles on the table, a white and a red, like they do everywhere else. The accompanying wine is made by Michelin-starred restaurants... here they'd like to emulate them, but... not even close. High prices... but very poor service.
