01/12/2025: The food is great and you can feel the homely atmosphere. We came back a couple of times while staying in Castel Maggiore. My favourite was the pizza with salsiccia - simple and delicious :)

29/11/2025: Welcoming restaurant, friendly waitresses, fast service. This time we had lunch for 4, but other times we were 12. The dishes were prepared to perfection. The desserts were superb!!!!

01/09/2025: Business lunch during the week. A typical restaurant with a set menu, announced by word of mouth, for €14 including coffee. Obviously, you don't have to be ambitious, but for the price, the food is good. Recommended for a lunch break.

31/08/2025: It's been a must-stop for us for years now; we stop by before catching the ferry from Livorno to Sardinia. The food is good!

04/12/2025: I ordered takeout and had to cook the burger at home since it would have been risky to eat an undercooked one during pregnancy (it was quite pink). I took a bite and realized it later; it wasn't nice. I should point out that I'd never had an undercooked burger with them before, so I didn't think it was necessary to inform them of my pregnancy. In any case, everyone knows by now that burgers should always be well done.

24/11/2025: A very well-kept venue, with a welcoming atmosphere, excellent burgers, and a wide selection of wines, beers, and cocktails. Breakfast remains one of their highlights.

21/10/2025: One early autumn evening, I visited this restaurant, located in Marciana Alta, with a lovely view. I quite enjoyed it, and ordered a seafood appetizer—perhaps a little pricey, but good. And a basic fried fish.

04/10/2025: Nice restaurant with a nice view and friendly service. However, I find €80 per kilo for the catch of the day to be exorbitant when it's mistakenly served with its tag still on (including a large hooked fish on its head with a description in Greek and English indicating that it's a Greek farmed product). When I ordered the catch of the day, the waiter confirmed that he had 800 grams of sea bream and asked if that would be okay, which I agreed. I'm sorry, but we all know the cost of Greek fish. I want to believe the chef's version of events, which tells me that they prefer Greek products from the simpler supply chain on the island to local ones. But even if it's good quality, I don't think it costs €80 per kilo. The chef was understanding and gave me an €8 discount, making this dish cost €52 instead of €60. To avoid misunderstandings when the price per kg/100g is indicated, I would recommend also indicating the origin of the raw material, for the sake of fairness towards the customer.

06/10/2025: Excellent shop for fresh pasta and desserts. Excellent tagliatelle and desert roses! The staff are genuine Bolognese and extremely friendly. Recommended!

25/09/2025: I bought some tortellini for friends who aren't from Bologna. The very friendly owner even gave me a note with instructions on how to cook them. 😁 He made the package very cute and convenient for carrying. He's truly the typical Bolognese guy—friendly and welcoming! 🔝

16/11/2025: Quick treat, super soft cinnamon rolls full of cinnamon! The carrot cake was delicious! Both served warm!

12/11/2025: Very small and cozy, we tried the bowl and the burger with fries and both were very good and we left feeling very full. Super fair price: €27 for 2 including drinks.

04/10/2025: A pleasant surprise away from the weekend motorcycle frenzy of Raticosa and the surrounding area. The crostini with lard and porcini mushrooms were excellent. We limited ourselves to the first course and dessert after the crostini, and I must say that, at our request, they accommodated us with a trio each, allowing us to sample excellent tagliatelle, special passatelli, and delicious ravioli. Everything was homemade and all made with porcini mushrooms. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. 👌

23/10/2025: My wife Stacey and I had a wonderful experience at Cantina Zuffa. Augusto was a perfect host. He was genuinely committed to making our experience special. He succeeded. It was our last day in Italy and we could not have chosen a better way to spend it. Great wine pairings, great food and a fabulous host in Augusto. Cheers!

19/10/2025: Personally, my favorite ice cream shop, with an excellent selection of flavors: a special mention goes to the flavor of the month, which always leaves me speechless. The fruity flavors are incredibly delicious because they're made with fresh ingredients and probably a lot of love. The staff is always extremely kind and available for advice. Highly recommended!

13/12/2025: We visited this trattoria for the first time today, by chance. We were greeted by friendly and helpful staff. The dishes were simple but well-prepared, and excellent value. We'll be back with friends.

14/10/2025: Tiziano is fantastic. A piece of San Pietro. The place is very nice, the food is good (thank you, Lucia, for existing and cooking). During the village festivals, the menu is excellent; you should try everything. The aperitifs are good and inexpensive.

12/11/2025: We'd been away for a while, but on Sunday, November 9, 2025, my wife Monica, our two big dogs, and I returned. The guys, as always so kind, welcomed us and sat us down in the bar area in front of the stove. It was 6°C outside, and it was very comfortable inside. We ate two polentas (one with Taleggio and mushrooms, and one with Taleggio and wild boar) that were out of this world, drank water and a delicious still white wine from a carafe, and finished with a blueberry dessert. The guys then offered us a truly delicious mountain pine liqueur. Beyond the good food, the atmosphere at Cavone is just what I like, and I always enjoy going there. We really should go back more often. Well done. Keep up the good work.

30/11/2025: such a disappointing service…the waiter with glasses was acting very agressively towards a friend keeping him from grabbing a chair and mocking him. the rest of the waiters were nice and polite.
