O Sole Mio In Bologna

We went to Bologna to visit the Christmas markets and decided to get something to eat on our walk back to the car park. I saw Pizzaria Trattoria O' Solo Mio on Google Maps and it seemed like the place to go. The food and service were both amazing. The price was also very good for the quality of the food. We would definitely return here again if in the area.

Small idyllic family restaurant

A cool place run by nice older people. Bolognese people come and eat there. Small talk, etc., was done in sign language, but we got everything we wanted :) We ordered tagliatelle ragu and puttanesca. It was the first time I'd ever had puttanesca. Very interesting flavors, I'll try to recreate them at home. I definitely recommend the place itself.

Legendary. At least 40 years of history. The pizza is getting better and better. We'll miss it one day.

We tried the "risotto al funghi". The food came super quick and it was delicious, and the waiter was super nice.

In addition to good pizza, you can enjoy traditional Bolognese dishes and seafood. The restaurant is simple but well-maintained, with very friendly staff.

We arrived in Bologna for a few days and found this place while walking. The staff are very kind and helpful. A family atmosphere. Good food. We'll definitely be back!

They added color to my last evening in Italy with both their food and their kindness. I ordered Spaghetti aglio e olio first. It was delicious. I don't eat meat, and it was a good choice; it was a little oily, but perhaps that's the right kind of abundance, I don't think it would be right for me to lecture them about pasta. Then I had tiramisu. It was like I had an Italian grandmother who had made it for me herself. As we were leaving, I chatted with the only gentleman who spoke English, then that kind lady with black hair (not blonde) came over. First we high-fived, then we high-fived, then she wanted to hug me, and I showed her the way we hug in our culture (by kissing her three times). It was a joyful ending. I think my being a tourist and wearing a headscarf caught their attention. It was an evening where all differences turned into richness. It's a restaurant I'll want to come back to again and again.
