28/12/2025: Only someone who doesn't understand a thing about cooking, and probably not even about good food, can give "Ristorante Il Gambero" a star. Here, you "eat really well," but above all, you eat with an open mind: you have to let yourself be guided by the chef's suggestions, who has a personal, unconventional vision and—not to mention—is also "very nice in his own way."
This is not the place for those who put on airs, for those who want to be pampered every three minutes, or for those who mistake obsessive attention for quality. If you need constant confirmation or to feel like the center of the universe, "look elsewhere."
You come here to eat, to trust, and to appreciate authentic cuisine, without unnecessary frills. The "value for money" is excellent, a rare thing these days, and the overall experience is more satisfying than many restaurants that are "starred" only by reviews.
Recommended for those with "a good palate, curiosity, and a modicum of self-irony." Everyone else can just keep giving stars at random.

19/04/2026: I am generally not someone who leaves negative reviews, but the way the owner responded to us afterwards made me feel it was necessary to speak up.
During our 9-day trip in Italy, we visited many restaurants and had mostly very positive experiences. Unfortunately, this was the only place where the overall experience “from food quality to attitude” felt very uncomfortable.
We ordered a seafood pasta and a lasagna. The lasagna was acceptable, but when the seafood pasta was served, we immediately noticed a strong smell that did not seem right. We politely asked whether it would be possible to change the dish, explaining that we were not trying to cause trouble but genuinely felt the smell was unusual. Instead of handling the situation professionally, we were met with dismissive reactions, including eye-rolling and a visibly unfriendly attitude from staff and the owner.
Despite feeling uncomfortable, we still paid for the meal and left. Later, we left a 1-star review simply reflecting our dining experience. What followed was the owner began posting personal and inappropriate responses online, including comments about nationality and remarks suggesting we were not welcome.
Regardless of differing opinions about food, personal attacks towards customers are never acceptable. Some of our previous reviews were removed after being reported. I hope this review can remain visible so future customers can make their own judgement.

24/09/2025: Well-kept facility and clean sea, free showers (cold water). Parking is €6 for the whole stay, very good; two sun loungers are €30 at the end of September, a bit pricey. The beach is rocky: water shoes are required. Overall, beautiful!
03/09/2025: I was at this beach club the day before yesterday, intrigued by the positive reviews and their Instagram page, which convinced me to go. It's very nice, I must say, impeccably organized, everything very well-organized and cared for. I have nothing to complain about even the bar area. If I had to find a negative, it would be the "bathrooms"—they're comfortable and have all the amenities—but there are some customers who don't know what hygiene is here, let alone at home. Just one phrase: "Toilet bowls covered in urine." I don't blame the beach club... but they could be a little more careful about this. What else can I say? The underpass from the parking lot to the beach club is very convenient. I'll definitely be back.

22/02/2026: Stunning location: face to face with the sea! The quality of the ingredients is questionable, and the dishes are overly improvised. It's impossible to accommodate guests with food intolerances or even just different tastes. Dishes are not changed! Even though we were told otherwise when booking. Completing the review is the lack of coordination between the dining room and kitchen staff, and a lot of overcharging... Totally unacceptable wait times.

I went to this restaurant for lunch today, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely negative in almost every way.
The only real positive is the location: it's undoubtedly beautiful, with a splendid view of the sea that creates a pleasant atmosphere. I also appreciate the fact that they cater to gluten-free options: they had both pasta and bread available, and they were attentive to this.
Otherwise, however, the experience was very disappointing. We waited three hours for our first course, a simply unacceptable amount of time, especially without clear explanations or adequate apologies. During the wait, the service was virtually nonexistent: we didn't feel welcomed or cared for. The staff was clearly insufficient, both in number and in managing the room, and they also had a lackluster approach to the customer.
The lack of organization was evident even in the most basic aspects: when we were welcomed, we weren't even served water, and we had to ask several times just to get it. Generally, we had to repeatedly call the staff for any need.
We requested the "Lucullo" appetizer, but they mixed it up and brought it to us as if we'd ordered the tasting menu, which we hadn't. This mistake demonstrates a lack of attention and poor internal communication.
Furthermore, the first courses weren't served all at once: we ate in staggered intervals, with some people at the table already finished while others were still waiting. It was an unpleasant and unprofessional situation.
Many people around us were complaining about the incredibly long wait; several customers even got up and left before receiving their dishes, tired of waiting.
As for the food, it wasn't poor quality, but it wasn't particularly exciting either. Given the interminable wait and the general disorganization, it's definitely not worth it.
A lunch that should have been a pleasant experience turned into a stressful experience. I'm sorry to say this, but I can't recommend this restaurant at this time: the beautiful sea view alone isn't enough to make up for such poor service and inefficient organization.

17/02/2026: I give one star because it's impossible to give less. I went to the bar on the same day a friend had recently purchased a tray of chiacchiere. I lined up at the register, waiting my turn to speak to the cashier, to whom I pointed out the terrible quality of the products (they were blackened and covered in oil!), keeping in mind that it was a special day. She, annoyed and annoyed, huffed and puffed, and referred me to the man who called himself the "owner," but in reality was just a simple counter clerk. Approaching him, I asked if it was possible to speak to the owner aside. He, identifying himself as such (the concept of "owner" needs rethinking!), told me I could also speak there, so I pointed out the terrible quality of the product. He immediately complained that I was discussing it with other customers nearby. I walked away, waiting for a solution that never came. So I approached him and asked to see the product I had brought with me on that occasion. The so-called "owner" wanders around, touching the product and putting it back on the tray, claiming that this is the quality of their products (in other words, terrible). To this end, I pointed out that I could no longer eat the product I touched and that, by law, he should have refunded me the cost or offered me a tray of the same quantity. Instead, very rudely and loudly, he tells me in dialect that I've been there for an hour bothering him (which is absolutely untrue, so much so that I ask the cashier for confirmation!), and I invite him to find a solution. Speaking rudely and very annoyed, he invites the cashier to offer me a little something, and I repeat, a little something, almost as if trying to silence me, but I refuse. I explained that this wasn't the way to resolve the issue, given his rudeness and that I'd even posted on Facebook to point out the terrible quality. He, in his usual rude manner, told me that since he's working, he doesn't have time to use the phone for anything unrelated to work (actually, this is work, too, and, moreover, he'd picked up the phone several times in my presence!). He, in the rude and loud tone that had become his trademark, and making a terrible spectacle of himself and the establishment, literally kicked me out, much to the astonishment of those present. I stated that my intention was merely to point out the condition and quality of the product (after all, it doesn't take a qualified chef or professional pastry chef to realize that they had been fried in blackened oil for a long time, and were not crumbly) and that, even if I were in the wrong, this certainly isn't the way to address a customer. Obviously, I will never return to this place with terrible staff, arrogant, unqualified and very rude, they have lost more than a few customers

12/04/2026: First time trying this pizzeria, I'd say the service was terrible, the staff unorganized and uninterested. As for the pizza, I have to say, for a Neapolitan pizzeria, I'm not satisfied at all. The dough was raw and rubbery. Never again.
12/04/2026: I'm Neapolitan and yesterday I went down to take a walk in Margellina with friends. I'm ashamed for them for having brought them to this place. Terrible service. We asked for a separate bill but it was refused in a rude way. Pizza with raw dough. I'm sorry but I'm giving one star.

Ristorante La Rosa dei Venti

14/03/2026: We had dinner at La Rosa dei Venti restaurant in Ischia and the experience was truly excellent. Everything we ordered was top-quality, carefully prepared, and attentively served.
We started with a beef carpaccio and a beef tartare, both incredibly fresh and beautifully balanced in flavor. Then we moved on to the pizzas: a contemporary Scarpariello and a provola and pink peppercorn au poivre. Light, well-leavened dough and quality ingredients: both were truly excellent.
To continue, we chose grilled chops, a Chianina rib-eye steak, and a Gold Angus rib-eye steak, all cooked to perfection and made with top-quality meats. As a side dish, grilled vegetables and sautéed porcini mushrooms were flavorful and well-prepared.
We finished with a delicious cheesecake and paired it all with an excellent Amarone.
In short: we ate wonderfully, with excellent ingredients, meticulously prepared, and the price was absolutely fair for the quality. A place that definitely deserves 5 stars and where we will gladly return.
09/03/2026: We had dinner at La Rosa dei Venti in Ischia and were truly delighted. We tried the meat, tartare, and pizza: everything was excellent and prepared with great care, using quality ingredients and truly delicious dishes.
The pizza was exceptional, definitely among the best we've had in Ischia.
The service was excellent: the waiters were kind, smiling, and very attentive. The atmosphere was welcoming and perfect for a wonderful evening. We'll definitely be back!

23/01/2026: The place is very pleasant. The covered terraces, perfect for keeping warm during the winter, offer stunning views of the city and the surrounding mountains. The food is remarkably good, arriving quickly and piping hot, made with high-quality local ingredients that allow you to experience authentic Campanian cuisine. International dishes are available for children. The service is excellent. The food is a bit pricey, but that's to be expected in a restaurant located next to such a popular tourist attraction.
