19/04/2025: Pranzo di passaggio con la famiglia. Locale sporco e vecchio. Un cameriere vestito in tenuta da calcio post allenamento, ci ha letteralmente tirato i menù. Grigliata carbonizzata. Verdure alla griglia riesumate dal frigo che non siamo riusciti ad assaggiare! Tutto il personale e parentela annessa che entrava ed usciva dalla cucina senza una divisa, un grembiule… esperienza da incubo.

01/03/2025: Su consiglio di un collega ci siamo fermati qui per pranzo, prima di andare sulla neve (cima Mammarosa). Una cucina autentica, dai sapori genuini. Pappardelle al cinghiale in bianco buonissime, così come lo spezzatino di cinghiale alle erbe. Molto buoni anche gli spaghetti alla chitarra con porcini e tartufo. Eccezionali gli arrosticini di pecora cucinati sulla loro brace. Anche le patatine fritte erano perfette, cosa che oggi non è così scontata da trovare nei ristoranti. Il prezzo è veramente basso, con gli stessi soldi ormai non ci mangi nemmeno una pizza in pizzeria. Da tornarci, anche per la gentilezza del personale. Complimenti!!

19/04/2025: I was about to repeat Bill’s comment, word by word. One of the best meals we had in Italy. Italy! Stopped for a spontaneous lunch in a deserted piazza of the castle. A real surprise and pleasure. We ate other things from the menu, adding a photo. Highly recommended to come intentionally!

06/04/2025: L’estate scorsa ho cenato alla poiana con amici. Atmosfera e panorama bellissimi locale rinnovato con luci giuste e il menù ottimo come sempre. Da ritornare sempre!

01/01/2025: Proprio non ce lo aspettavamo di trovare un ristorante così, in una posizione completamente fuori mano. Locale bello e accogliente, servizio ineccepibile, piatti eccezionali nella proposta e nella realizzazione. Prezzo proporzionato all'offerta. Se siete nei dintorni di Barrea non potete perderlo, soprattutto se amate stile, eleganza e buon cibo.

04/10/2024: Small, slightly out of the way restaurant in Capoliveri with surprisingly good food. Had tuna and lasagna. Both very good, with tiramisu and cream catalana. Attentive, friendly service.

23/05/2025: Unfortunately, the food is only available in the microwave ;((( But this isn't announced in advance. The lady at the service is very confident and likes to sing along to the songs on the radio.

07/05/2025: Unfortunately we're not there, I don't like reviewing places that are wrong but it also helps to understand for those who come after. Let's take 3 steaks, we are in the mountains, the meat should dominate, 2 medium rare and one rare. The first 2 arrive overcooked, I don't know if they could eat them, I point this out and they kindly make it again for me. The rare one arrives and instead it's medium rare, oh well I take it badly and the kitchen is informed that the one they were making again had to be done rare. The rare one arrived and it was very cold in the center, as if the steaks were frozen. Anyway in the end 2 mixed starters, 3 steaks and 3 lambs, 4 side dishes, 3 desserts and 6 coffees, total 40 euros each, you do the math. For me prices above average and standards not adequate for the price paid.

07/04/2025: I've been there several times. Every time it has been an excellent experience. Quality food, charming place and reasonable prices. A plus for us is that it offers gluten-free cuisine for celiacs. And he really does it. They have everything for celiacs. If you are in the area, stop by. I hope to be able to try it in the winter soon.

10/04/2025: The environment, elegant and with attention to the smallest details, created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Every element of the furniture contributed to making the room a place of refined pleasure. The staff, with their kindness and jokingness, took care of each guest with discretion and care. Absolutely very good food. An experience to be repeated, without a doubt.

27/03/2025: I went to eat a fixed menu for workers and I must say that I was more than satisfied, the penne alla Pecoraro was plentiful, al dente and good, the pork chop was grilled and of quality, a side dish with sautéed chicory, all for 13 euros, super quality and price

17/03/2025: Shameful, I cross Aspromonte with more than 4000 meters of altitude difference in three days and these guys here charge me €20 for a tiny sandwich, a piece of dessert and two coffees. The receipt wasn't even in the owner's mind. I don't know if you pissed me off or disgusted me more, I left speechless because I was so pissed off and exhausted from the mountain of not wanting to argue. Starving.

28/12/2024: The bar/pastry service is excellent, the desserts are really good, especially the zeppole. Absolutely worth trying.

20/05/2025: I happened upon it by chance coming down from the castle I tasted a delicious vegetable pie as an appetizer and then surprisingly I found the timballo di scrippelle with tiny meatballs from Teramo. for those who don't know it, it's a kind of lasagna made with very thin crepes layered with tomato, mozzarella or provola and tiny meatballs. Everything was very good, excellent service. I ate outside and even though it was May 17th it was so cold it made your teeth chatter.

01/05/2025: chiamiamo per il pranzo del primo maggio, una volta arrivati capiamo che per arrivare al ristorante si doveva prendere per forza una navetta di cui nessuno ci aveva parlato quando abbiamo chiamato e la prima disponibilità era alle16:00 quindi siamo saliti a piedi per mezz’ora attraverso un sentiero, avvisando già il locale che ci ha rassicurati sulla nostra prenotazione. Una volta arrivati veniamo “accolti” ,se così si puoi dire, da un ragazzo che si limita a chiederci il nome della prenotazione per poi lasciarci lì impalati, scopriamo poi da soli che i tavoli erano tutti occupati e abbiamo dovuto aspettare di averne uno nonostante la prenotazione. Tempi di attesa molto lunghi, anche considerando il giorno di festa, addirittura per spillare una birra ci sono voluti 15/20 minuti.

Cucina molto apprezzata per sapori, presentazione e tempi, considerando la situazione. Esperienza estremamente positiva e da ripetere anche in situazioni meno formali. Un ringraziamento di cuore allo staff di cucina e di sala.

22/05/2025: Ristorante molto accogliente gestito da una signora cinese molto gentile e disponibile, non è molto grande ma caratteristico, abbiamo mangiato bene , abbiamo ordinato degli scottadito e arrosticini buonissimi x la tenerezza della carne e i piatti erano ben presentati e saporiti prezzi contenuti consigliato.

11/05/2025: Mi sono recata in questa trattoria con mio marito mio figlio, posto carino anche se piccolo, menù molto abbondante. Quando andiamo ad ordinare ci precisano che i piatti a base di tartufo sono con la salsa tartufata e per correttezza dovrebbero cambiare la dicitura sul menù. Infine abbiamo ordinato una bruschetta con salsa tartufata, due orecchiette con pistacchi e speck ( devo dire molto buone) ed una mezza porzioni di penne al pomodoro, due acque e due sorbetti al limone, per una spesa di 58€ in linea con il posto. Secondo me da migliorare qualcosa sul cibo
