03/05/2026: We had dinner and had a great time. The arrosticini were very good. The staff was very friendly and my grandchildren had fun playing with their son Antonio. Thanks for the evening.

29/07/2026: I'm writing a half-assed review, in the sense that I really appreciated the location—it was beautiful, a grassy area with tables and loungers for patrons to use. But I didn't get to try the food; I found the prices a bit high, though I understand the location (500 meters from the Pizzalto chairlift top station, at about 1,600 meters above sea level) makes it difficult to get supplies. I did, however, enjoy a spritz in a beautiful setting; there was also a DJ who played some great songs that I found very fitting.

06/04/2026: We arrive, order (cacio e ova balls, baked potatoes, and some supposed broccoli—"supposed" because broccoli, the real kind, is probably an abstract concept here) and prepare to eat peacefully. But no. We discover that the benches are reserved for a higher category of customers: those ordering a first course. We, evidently, belong to the economy class and therefore don't deserve the luxury of a seat... despite the tables being perfectly empty. Interesting company policy: it doesn't matter if you consume, it matters how much you consume. A sort of cabin-style "premium seating." All this is accompanied by a decidedly less-than-warm welcome and dishes that, besides being questionable, are also described in rather creative terms. For completeness, I've also attached a photo of the "broccoli," so maybe someone can identify them better than us. If you're looking for a place where you'll feel judged by the receipt, you're in the right place. If, on the other hand, you just want to eat and relax... maybe it's better to look around.

19/07/2026: The food is good and the owner is friendly, but it's not enough to deserve 4 stars.

11/06/2026: A good restaurant for lunch. Lunch again, June 10th, everything was still good. There's no equal for quality, service, and price.

09/08/2026: The inside is nice, although the space is limited, but I preferred to sit outside. When ordering, I was told that pizzas weren't available that day, and they recommended the off-menu lasagna instead. It was a real shame, but I went ahead and ordered chitarrine with ragù. The sauce was plentiful, but mediocre, and the chitarrine didn't seem homemade. The staff didn't speak Italian, but they didn't make any mistakes. Prices were above average.

07/08/2026: A small, rustic, but welcoming place. The food is excellent. I recommend the homemade gnocchi, which are incredibly soft and fluffy. They're quick and the prices are great, especially considering the delicious food. The place is located in the center of Castel di Sangro, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

21/08/2026: This restaurant is located in Tagliacozzo, with ample parking and both indoor and outdoor dining. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the service is quick, despite it being August. We had a fried appetizer (supplì, Ascoli olives, and chips) and a pizza. Everything was delicious and light. The price was right (€25 per person). We'll definitely be back.

19/08/2026: The pinsa and fried food were very good, but the bill was really high. The desserts weren't exceptional. My kids shared the fettuccine with tomato sauce and really enjoyed it. Overall, everything was good, except for the final payment. 😅

06/07/2026: Restaurant in the historic center of L'Aquila, with outdoor seating, and prices in line with downtown restaurants. Average pinsa. Friendly and welcoming staff. TheFork discount applied.

13/08/2026: Authentic Abruzzese food of the highest quality, made with supreme ingredients ...as an Abruzzese, I think the arrosticini are in the top three in Abruzzo. The magic of this place is unique.

03/05/2026: Speechless people really bad food just as much learn to work.

27/04/2026: Lunch with friends. Honestly, the food was terrible and the price was high. The waitress was sloppy and bored. The pasta was overcooked and the meat was very tough. I don't recommend it.

16/08/2026: I returned to this restaurant driven by fond memories: I remembered La Capannina as a place that perfectly balanced its culinary offerings with the right price. Unfortunately, the current reality was a real shock. The food turned out to be mediocre, an experience worthy of no more than a 2-star rating for the quality and execution of the dishes. The final bill, however, was perfectly in line with that of a 5-star restaurant. Such a wide range is already unjustifiable in itself, but the final insult came with the receipt: the management charged us a premium over the standard cover charge simply for seating us outside, under the pine trees, without us ever asking. Such a decline and such a lack of transparency towards the customer makes one look elsewhere. I won't be returning.
