Nice place, good food... except that the owner, originally from Campania, seemed a little impatient... she was in too much of a hurry... Taking very little care of her customers. Too bad!

We spent a pleasant evening with friends Good food but unfortunately terrible service Although in Roccaraso we are used to double shifts, it would be correct to advise at the time of booking that dinner can last a maximum of 1 hour Reservation at 8pm and literally invited to leave the table at 9pm When ordering the desserts they warned us that we had to hurry because our table was needed Perhaps it would have been more correct to ask us to arrive at 7.30pm so as to also have time to drink a bitter or have a coffee at the end of dinner. For the rest, the dishes we ate were all good and obviously served very quickly. Recommended for those in a hurry

Very special place. The quality of the food is significantly superior to many restaurants in the country. The staff leaves a lot to be desired: not very courteous (they literally try to "take the morsel out of your mouth" to free the table). Besides the great rush they impose, the bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. Twice (within a year) I found vomit in the bathroom. The third time it was surprisingly clean.

Excellent cuisine, Friendly staff, Honest price, Beautiful structure, well cared for in detail, They even accepted our dog... We will be back.

Sono passata solo per il pranzo, mi sono lasciata guidare dalle varie indicazioni del web, purtroppo però il piatto che cercavo ...non era nel menù (nonostante fosse pubblicizzato) e anche la pizza è servita solo a cena...non ho mangiato male ma è preferibile offrire informazioni più chiare.

Ho cenato presso La Capannina in un sabato sera di Dicembre e sono rimasta piacevolmente sorpresa dalla qualità dei piatti serviti. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto locale, due primi e il dolce, tutto ottimamente servito e dal sapore genuino..piatti locali, dal sapore tradizionale. Ottimo il vino biologico proposto: un Montepulciano d'Abruzzo davvero ottimo.

Servizio velocissimo piatti tipici buonissimi..direi semplice ma efficace. Dolce fantastico e primi con i funghi da provare assolutamente.

01/01/2024: Uno dei pochi ristoranti aperti la sera del 31 dicembre per una semplice cena. Siamo stati serviti con molta gentilezza. Ottimi i ravioli ricotta, tartufo e porcini, così come i tagliolini funghi e salsiccia. Gustosi anche secondi ( arrosticini, scamorza e costoletta di maiale). Siamo usciti molto soddisfatti.

Hotel Ristorante Excelsior

27/08/2023: A traditional local restaurant occupying the ground floor and outside terraces if Hotel Excelsior. Most definitely a way to experience the locals way of dining out. The menu is traditional and local. Some specials. Bruschetta was delightful and fresh as was the prosciutto and melone. Steak was tasty, served simple with a wedge of lemon and a fresh green salad. Arrosticini (small grilled skewers) of lamb and cheese were well received as a lighter dinner, with wilted spinach. The star of the show was the second plate. Fresh porcini, tomato and saffron in a silky egg sauce with a local pasta variety. Just wonderful! Kids had pizzas from an extensive menus, one bianca one Rossi, and both were nice. Serve was attentive and friendly. Tiramisu and table wine were great too!.
