13/02/2026: I've been to this restaurant and I have to say the pizza is truly delicious: light dough, quality ingredients, and perfectly cooked. From this perspective, there's nothing to complain about; it's definitely one of the best pizzas I've had in recent memory. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by the excessive wait at the door to be seated. Even though we had a reservation, we waited much longer than expected. Once we were seated, the service was also quite slow: it took a long time between ordering and the pizzas arriving. In conclusion, I recommend this place solely for the quality of the pizza, which is truly excellent, but be prepared for long waits and service that isn't always up to par. With better organization, it could become a perfect place.

06/12/2025: Original, high-quality dishes, with some truly interesting options. The atmosphere isn't exceptional, but it's still well-rounded. The pizzas are definitely worth trying, which—for once—are truly original creations that showcase the flavors, among the best I've ever had. The only reason they're missing a star is because there's no overall sense of service, a warm welcome that matches the excellent quality of the food. In short, the character of the dishes doesn't translate to character in the dining room, which is a shame, given the potential. In any case, definitely worth a try.

19/10/2025: Small, family-run restaurant. A few dishes, but very good. Prices are slightly high but acceptable. They might be a bit of a problem if you have a dog and it's not very quiet.

19/10/2025: We discovered La Foce during a stroll through the heart of Scanno, and immediately felt at home. We tried the cazzellitti con le fuoja (a type of pasta) and the sagnette con i fagioli (a type of pasta with beans): extraordinary dishes, prepared with such care and love that you can taste in every bite. Everything is homemade and cooked to order, a true culinary experience! The atmosphere is warm and familiar, the owners were extremely kind and welcomed us with great warmth. It's clear that a tradition is being carried on here with passion and dedication. We were delighted and can't wait to return. A must-see for anyone visiting Scanno who wants to enjoy authentic local cuisine.

28/07/2025: Biscotti buoni anzi ottimi. Ci siamo fermati durante la passeggiata prima di cena e abbiamo acquistato dei biscotti con cioccolato veramente ottimi. Da non tralasciare durante una visita a Scanno.

12/01/2026: Small but nice place, even small. The portions aren't tavern-like. The two first courses we ordered were both 1/2 portions for me. A baked potato, a 7.50g steak (€50), which I'd say was a bit too much, and two small dessert portions, for a total of €103.

01/02/2026: Rude service, poor food, the truffle on the dishes is a jarred cream, the meat is extremely salty. P.S. I just read the response, but obviously it was pointed out to the staff, who treated us condescendingly, telling us the amount of salt on the meat was just right, and the truffle should be specified on the menu as a jarred cream.

01/02/2026: We had a reservation for 2:00 PM, but when we arrived, the reservation wasn't reflected. It can happen, but the wait was over 40 minutes, even though tables were becoming available. The receptionist kept forgetting about us and assigning free tables to larger groups, just because there were only two of us. The place is very chaotic and disorganized, both in terms of bookings and service. We started eating very late, and even the side dishes arrived after we'd already finished. A stressful experience, we left as quickly as possible. What a shame...

03/08/2025: A very pleasant experience. It was a pleasant surprise to learn that it was possible to order pizza with lactose-free mozzarella. The final price was reasonable. I will definitely be back.

10/09/2025: Central location in the charming village of Scanno. Very well-maintained rooms, bathroom a bit small, but that's all you can do in a historic building. The owner is super helpful, and I can confirm the excellent breakfast. The on-site parking is a great option.

She even stepped in for an unexpected event. In Abruzzo, I've found a warm welcome, which Alessandra transmits to her guests, along with her love for her homeland.

03/02/2026: I loved the place, the owners are super cute and nice even if I spoke zero Italian. Pizza was AMAZING I loved every piece I ate and me and my colleagues come back here several times to enjoy the vibe, Aperol and pizzaaaa. I think I tried every piece of pizza they have ❤️

10/01/2026: New Year's Eve rush! We booked for New Year's Eve and they told us it would start at 9 pm... Okay, we arrive a little earlier at 8 pm, even though the room is almost empty. They seat us right away and serve us appetizers right away... are they waiting for the other tables? No! Welcome aperitif? No, we're off right away and let the party begin... two first courses, a second course, all one after the other... So much so that almost no one eats the second course because they're in such a rush, they don't even have time to breathe... It's 9:40 pm and off we go with dessert and fruit... two hours to midnight and everything's already gone, they've filled the guests like turkeys, so they have to hurry. No rush yet, they turn off the lights in half the room and set the table for the next day's breakfasts. But it's 10:15 pm! Some tables, unwilling to go, leave, others go up to their rooms with the clear intention of returning for the toast... there's still a long time to go, but they have to hurry! 11:30 PM: Lentils, some people point out that they're eaten after midnight, they reply... 'Why don't they work before?' A table next door with two guys who were supposed to be back shortly before midnight aren't there, but the lentils are served to them anyway, left there... we can't wait! Nothing, they have to get the paperwork done! At 11:45 AM, sparkling wine ALREADY poured into the glasses in the kitchen is being distributed! Even at the table of the guys from before. We have to hurry! Two guys from the next table return to find cold lentils and sparkling wine already there, their eyes widen in exasperation, 11:53 AM: Nothing, it's time... They're nervous, I laugh so as not to cry! Yeah, and everything's cleared away! The waitresses already have their coats at 12:15 AM! We pay, but NEVER again! At 12:20 AM we're in the car! But I say if you don't want to have a New Year's Eve party, don't do it! A fast food place on New Year's Eve, not even at MC's! Horrible!

01/01/2026: Alas, I find myself forced to give this place a negative review... Starting with the somewhat questionable welcome, I felt very uncomfortable during certain moments of conversation, but that's not the strong point. Once we got to the room, we immediately noticed the cleanliness situation, which was a bit out of place. We noticed during our stay (fortunately short) that we had company in the room, namely lots of small bedbugs running around, and we even found 3 in bed under the covers the next morning... truly absurd!!! Their justification was that the place is full of bedbugs, so much so that they even have them in their house... I was so shocked that I replied that it can't be an excuse, I can't enter a room with 3 children and find the animals crawling inside the bed and running around the room. I would certainly have preferred a different response and treatment, but if this is their policy, good for them, we certainly wouldn't recommend this place.

08/12/2025: Let's start with the truly unique and welcoming location, like being in a mountain chalet, with attention to every detail. The owners are kind and professional, and know how to put you at ease. There were several of us for dinner, and we tried several cuts of meat on the menu, all excellent from the first to the last. Special attention was also paid to the wine list, which ranges from northern to southern Italy and beyond. A well-deserved 5 stars.
