Al Chicchirichi' In San demetrio ne' vestini

The Al Chicchirichi' restaurant is located in an enchanting place and offers a typically Italian culinary experience. However, according to my personal experience, the pappardelle with mushrooms and truffles did not live up to expectations, resulting insipid and flavourless, the truffle could not be felt either in its aroma or flavour. I must say that I liked the second course, grilled lamb, tender and tasty meat cooked just right.

We will return to taste the baked trout. Very good cooked chestnuts 🌰

Honestly, given the reviews and references, I expected something completely different... having said that, the place is from before the 80s with even an external bathroom, the service is a bit casual with forgetfulness and even quite gross errors. The food absolutely disappointed me: Decent starter First course with river prawns... a tiny prawn and only sauce. First course with mushrooms and truffle... champignon and truffle in a splash of oil (let's avoid the consideration of the latter). Second mixed roast...1 sausage and two slices of lamb and pork as thin as a slice of speck. Second good prawns. Acceptable wine... I count? High for what we ate. Wrong day? Who knows, maybe I'll go back and revise my review...

Locale piccolo ma accogliente, il proprietario è molto socievole e ti mette subito a tuo agio. I piatti sono semplici ma bene preparati. Ottimo il primo con sugo di gamberi di fiume, ho provato anche la trota al cartoccio, molto saporita e morbida. Prezzi leggermente sopra la media.

Trattoria .... like my grandparents' house, friendly, nice owner who knows what he's doing.... We ate bruschetta with truffle and excellent pappardelle with truffle and mushrooms... And as Emilio says, real truffle, not truffle sauce 😂🤣 😂🤣 then we had a mixed roast... rating (6.5) dry desserts and chestnuts with cooked must..., I highly recommend this place to spend a Sunday with family or an evening with friends. Fair prices... to be repeated 👏 🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻

Spartan but very welcoming place. The owner, a truffle hunter, is a very nice, kind and expert gentleman in the product he offers. I ate bruschetta and a first course with truffles, all wonderful! We support small businesses, their originality is unmatched.

River prawns, trout, truffles, the owner's affection make the experience out of the ordinary... great!!!!
