08/07/2025: A true osteria, just like it used to be. You've made a reservation (it's worth it, as it's already full at 12:30), and you'll find carafes of water on the table, a bottle of the restaurant's wine (good and authentic), and a salami to help yourself. Fixed lunch menu during the week: first course of the day, choice of second course, choice of dessert, coffee. All for well under €20. And the staff are incredibly friendly. We'll be back as soon as we can.

02/07/2025: Let yourself be carried away to discover the divine Piedmontese cuisine. Certainly rich, but so authentic. Plan a hearty meal at a very reasonable price, with multiple flavors and good local wine. Enthralled...

25/05/2025: We call on a Saturday evening to find out if there is availability for 9 people, the guy answers yes even if a little hesitantly, as if I were making fun of him. We easily found parking and sat down shortly after our arrival. I ask to be able to order for the children, the waiter says to send me his colleague who however arrives after at least 15 minutes. We order, we receive half of the drinks ordered and, as soon as some potatoes arrive, we ask for the other drinks, but this time too the waiter turns a deaf ear and heads towards other tables that, although they arrived after us, were served first. Absent waiters, halfway through the dinner they warn us of missing products ordered (products such as raw ham, to be clear!) and, having ordered badly, they bring us a dish we did not order (we ask for roast potatoes and they bring grilled meat, calling it roast!) Reading the reviews we expected 5-star cuisine which unfortunately was only an illusion; good baked sausage, decent pork shank... Pinsa undefined, rubbery and with mozzarella piled up. The worst thing, however, was the waiting staff, while we were at the cash register the two boys rejoiced that we had gotten up, too bad that once caught they imitated some phantom TIC, something like that in a place like that is unacceptable. Advise the lady to review the staff from scratch The only positive note of the evening, the 1lt glass bottle of Coca Cola!

A gem discovered by chance on the way to Centrale station. Excellent value for money. We ate spaghetti vongole-bottarga and orecchiette with octopus ragù... Mamma Mia: finger-licking good! Ask for bread to make scarpetta. Places just the way we like them. Quality without the fuss.

06/07/2025: Very interesting menu and wine list with attention and research of quality product and dishes not obvious. Very balanced tasty sweetbreads. I will return to try other dishes, I am very curious. Even a simple tomato salad was transformed into a deliciously surprising dish. Always smiling and welcoming service.

20/06/2025: We ended up here by mistake and returned without a doubt the second time. The quality of the meat is superior, everything is wonderful from the entrée that is different every evening to the desserts made to perfection as tradition dictates, passing through the vast selection of "meat". If you pass through Lucca, this is the right place to come and eat meat.

18/06/2025: During a midweek lunch break, I stopped at the Pucci butcher shop, run by Luca, with the idea of ​​grabbing a quick bite. I was absolutely not expecting what I found: a true taste experience. As soon as I entered, I was greeted with a smile by Luca, who in addition to being an expert butcher, is also a perfect host. You can immediately see that he loves his job: the care in the service, the selection of meats, and that authentic passion that makes even the simplest moment of the day special. For lunch, a spectacular steak awaited me – cooked to perfection, tasty, tender, juicy. The kind that makes you forget that you are only there for a work break. It seemed to have come straight from a Sunday barbecue in the countryside, but with a level of quality and attention that are rarely found even in the most renowned restaurants. The place is simple, genuine, without frills: just how I like it. Here the protagonist is the meat, and nothing else is needed. What can I say? A true marvel. If you are in Lucca and want to eat well, authentically and with heart, stop by Luca alla Macelleria Pucci. Even just for a steak during your lunch break… it will remain in your memory.

28/06/2025: This hotel is quiet and chill, off the beaten path. We had amazing service, everyone was very friendly and welcoming!! Rooms are clean and ours was a little bigger than others we’ve had in Italy. They have a buffet breakfast with lots of fresh choices!!

03/07/2025: This restaurant is another recommendation you shouldn't miss. We started with two appetizers: the Vitello Tonnato and the Beef Carpaccio, both very well done and with excellent flavor. For the main course, we tried the Pasta Carbonara, which was honestly one of the best I've ever eaten. The Pasta alle Vongole was good, although not as outstanding as the other options. We also ordered a Margherita Pizza with Pepperoni, which had a very balanced and authentic flavor. In short, a place I definitely recommend for its quality and high level of cuisine.

30/06/2025: I had a delicious pizza that really exceeded my expectations: thin crust, authentic flavor and well cooked. I really appreciated the pleasant attention of the waiters, very attentive without being heavy and fast in serving. The atmosphere is cozy, with soft music and Italian furniture that puts you at ease. The prices also seemed good for the quality offered, nothing exaggerated.

Delicious food, the parmigiana was a triumph for the palate, the exceptional quality meat cooked by great culinary masters. 13/07/2025: There were three of us, I can't help but rave about it, the food was excellent, the mussels were well-prepared and in good quantity, the swordfish cutlet was different from other places, served with baked potatoes and sauces available, I would go back right away.

27/06/2025: I had dinner at this restaurant for my birthday. I had already been to this restaurant in the past, very refined. The dishes, from the Bolognese tradition, are revisited in a modern way. I had the risotto Acquerello and the beef fillet with grilled mushrooms. Both were exquisitely good! For dessert, a caramel semifreddo, which was pleasant because it was not too "sweet". The bill is perfectly proportionate to the food, the environment and the staff, very prepared and very kind without being cloying. My advice? If you have guests and want to take them to dinner in a nice restaurant, with traditional Bolognese dishes in a quiet environment, come here. You will certainly make a good impression.
