The desserts are a whole other story; the tiramisu simply melts in your mouth! 💁‍♂️ The service is top-notch. I'd like to express special thanks to our waiter, Igor. His professionalism, attentiveness, and ability to find a personal touch made our evening especially enjoyable. He easily helped us choose dishes and wine, was discreet, yet always there when needed. 🎉 Overall, La Taverna Italiana is a place you'll want to return to again and again. 08/12/2025: We booked an hour early on Saturday evening and were greeted warmly. The dinner was excellent, with exceptional flavors, especially the carbonara and meatballs all'amatriciana. Despite a small issue during dinner, they were extremely prompt and courteous in resolving the issue. Friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

13/11/2025: I went for dinner with my wife before attending a show at the Alfieri Theater. It's a restaurant located in a beautiful cellar with a vaulted brick ceiling. We were very impressed, not knowing it's an inclusive establishment that employs some workers with disabilities, all very kind and helpful. The menu, both wine and food, is extensive and varied. The dessert list is also extensive. The menu features Piedmontese cuisine, with some expertly reinterpreted dishes. We had the cold sliced ​​rabbit salami with tornà sauce as an appetizer, very good and unique. Then we opted for the main course, where we ordered delicate and tender horse cheek and wild boar. I must say, exquisite, soft and flavorful. Both main courses were accompanied by mixed vegetables on a salad leaf. All this was accompanied by two glasses of wine expertly recommended by the wait staff. To finish, we had the bunet, which I must say has a perfectly balanced flavor; the amaretto flavor doesn't overpower the sweetness. The atmosphere is welcoming and informal. It's one of the best osterias I've ever eaten at. I'll definitely be back.

07/11/2025: Warm and friendly atmosphere Excellent food and attentive service. The owner is very knowledgeable about intolerances and is always available to advise and accommodate. They let us dine with our dog. Not much to say, highly recommended. Excellent wine. The lactose-free desserts are delicious, but still hard to find.

01/12/2025: We ate here during the truffle fair. The place is modern, with minimal decor. The staff is friendly and the food is good. The only downside is that when the place is busy, service can be slow, but if you're in good company and aren't in a hurry, it's a great opportunity to chat. Reservations are highly recommended.

04/12/2025: Drawn by the reviews, we came to try this restaurant for dinner. It was a wonderful experience; we really appreciated the natural and welcoming decor, the variety of the menu, the fast service, and the delicious dishes. We were especially pleased with the risotto portions, which were finally neither excessive, which would otherwise be overwhelming, nor paltry. They also offered us a delicious focaccia as an entrée. The dishes were truly tasty and original; I loved the yogurt mousse and the mushroom and blueberry risotto. We can't wait to return to try the rest of the offerings!

28/10/2025: I only went there to eat and not to stay, but I still gave the rooms 5 stars because, since everything else was 5-star, the rooms were certainly no less... and I must say, it's all true... in fact, it exceeded my expectations... Let's start with the location, practically at the entrance to the historic center but not in the middle of its chaotic hubbub... It's located 3 meters from the sea and has a terrace where you can eat right in front of the beaches. The service was truly friendly and kind, from the reception to the waiters and all the staff (even though I was only there for dinner, I felt pampered). Now let's move on to the food... The menu was very varied with many choices, but since I love mussels marinara and mixed fried fish, I wanted to try these two dishes specifically to have an objective yardstick based on all my experiences with these dishes. I had high expectations (since it had been recommended to me), but since it was a hotel that also served as a restaurant, I didn't expect them to be both so good!!! The ingredients were clearly fresh, cooked to perfection and with care, and had a superb flavor and aroma, with generous portions (just how I like them). The waiters were all extremely friendly and kind without ever being pushy, giving me time to enjoy everything without any rush. Finally, the price.... Extremely fair for what I ate (I asked for the bill again because I thought they'd forgotten something, given the prices in the area). In short, it's a must-try if you want to eat well! I'll definitely be back to try many other things! Excellent!

I ordered a pizza with one of the recommended doughs, and luckily I only tasted the dough in two bites, otherwise it would have been inedible (it's also my fault for taking the risk, but if it's offered, I expect it to be at least "decent," especially since I paid €20 just for the pizza).

25/11/2025: The longer our stay in Porto Cesareo lasted at the end of October, the more often we ate at this restaurant. We went for lunch and dinner, whenever it suited us. We were always warmly welcomed, and the food, drinks, and even the olive oil were consistently a delight. Many thanks to the staff, the kitchen, and the owners. We will fondly remember you.

03/11/2025: The small hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant downstairs offers the most delicious pizzas with very unusual toppings for dinner! A must-try! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

28/09/2025: We came for the hotel's 150th anniversary with Scabin's menu, and what can I say? An exceptional sensory, tactile, and gustatory experience. A menu that must be experienced and dressed like a bespoke suit. The dining room staff, Elisabetta and Nicola, masters of the place, are testaments to the soul of the chef and the hotel itself, whose soul they embody. A unique experience.

26/09/2025: An exceptional restaurant in every way. It was a great choice, as from the first moment you can feel the restaurant's special atmosphere. We had the opportunity to try the Michelin-starred 250/100 menu. Some dishes are very original, surprising (and fun), and together they reflect the chef's career and culinary experience. Both the food and the pairing are of high quality. The staff who served us made our stay very pleasant; they were extremely friendly and attentive at all times, elevating the experience even further.

01/12/2025: The restaurant is beautifully decorated and run by young, super-friendly people. The quality of the fish is there and you can taste it. Raw fish is only available upon prior order. The octopus is incredibly tender, as is the fried fish. The first courses are also excellent. The quality/price ratio is very good.
