An excellent trattoria in the hills near Rocca delle Caminate. Traditionally but tastefully decorated, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating. It serves traditional Romagna cuisine, but not exclusively, with both fish and meat menus and very good dishes such as gnocchi with sausage and truffle or platters of cured meats and gnocco fritto. A good selection of wines is also available. Prices are slightly above average for traditional trattorias, but it's worth it.

🌟 An excellent discovery in the hills of Forlì: Trattoria Storica Da Mario If you're looking for the true essence of Romagna cuisine, combined with a warm welcome and a charming location, Trattoria Storica Da Mario is an absolute must. 🚗 Arrival and Welcome Immediate praise for the convenience of parking. Once inside, the welcome was fantastic: the two owners are wonderful people, incredibly friendly, and capable of making you feel at home from the first moment. The service was impeccable and prompt. 🍽️ Lunch: Tradition and Quality The cuisine won us over from the very beginning: The Appetizer: We started the meal with delicious crostini served with two traditional sauces. One with chicken livers, intense and flavorful, and the other with lard and oregano, a true treat for the palate that melted on the warm bread. First Courses: Some of the guests opted for the classic tortelli al ragù. The fresh pasta immediately showcases the quality of the pasta and the richness of the typical Romagna ragù. Second Course: The highlight was the pork skewer. These are generous pieces of pork wrapped in pancetta, skewered on a metal skewer, and served on a bed of delicious baked potatoes and fresh salad. The meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. To Drink: Everything was washed down with an excellent local wine that paired beautifully with each course. 🏍️ A tip for motorcyclists If you're a biker, this place is a cut above. The road to the trattoria, climbing the Forlì hills, is a succession of splendid hairpin bends and panoramic curves. The journey itself becomes part of the fun before sitting down to eat! In short: Everything was excellent, from the food to the atmosphere, right down to the bill. It's definitely a place I'll gladly return to. Highly recommended! Staying at the Wine Resort Borgo Conde, we were already on the edge of paradise, but almost unknowingly, we were just a stone's throw from a place that IS simply paradise for lovers of both traditional and inventive Italian cuisine. What a delightful surprise this discreet spot was: a mouthwatering fish menu, visibly delicious meats, and reasonably priced desserts and wines. All this in an enchanting setting with charming service. As they say: what more could you ask for? Organic food lovers, welcome.

A great find! Authentic food, welcoming staff, and a rustic atmosphere. If you're looking for authentic, old-fashioned cuisine, this is the place. Da Mario has a homey feel: a casual atmosphere, genuine service, and dishes that focus on substance. The homemade pasta dishes and grilled meats are excellent. Generous portions and a very fair price. A must-try for those who love tradition without too many frills. Highly recommended!
