29/12/2024: Una de las cenas más mediocres de nuestra semana en Sicilia. Habíamos leído buenas críticas pero la realidad es que ha sido una de las peores experiencias de nuestro viaje. Ya al leer la carta nos costó Dios y ayuda decidirnos por algo que nos sedujera mínimamente. Platos poco atractivos, con mezclas que no parecía (como así fue) que pudiesen funcionar.Probamos 5 platos y ni uno solo levantó pasiones, más bien al contrario. Un bacalao fresco, no incomible, pero demasiado salado y del montón; unas sepias a la plancha que tuvimos que dejar en el plato, duras como una piedra, crudas y quemadas; una pasta rellena que no sabía absolutamente a nada y unos macarrones grandes con una crema de patata infumable. Salimos de allí lo más rápido posible y lo que había sido un recibimiento amigable (el dueño se sentó en nuestra mesa para hacernos recomendaciones y hablarnos de sus vacaciones en Canarias) se tornó en una despedida fría sin ofrecernos ni postre. Obviamente él también se había dado cuenta que no nos había gustado la cena y optó por no hacer ningún comentario al respecto. Creo que él también era consciente de que nos había dado gato por liebre y que no nos la había colado. Comida sin personalidad ni sabor, cara para la mediocridad de lo recibido. La peor experiencia de nuestro viaje.

The food is excellent: refined dishes, well presented and with quality ingredients. The menu is not obvious, it offers interesting and different proposals from the usual, which makes it even more special. Furthermore, the portions are generous and satisfying, which is not always found in restaurants of this level. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality dining experience! I will definitely go back. 👏🍽️

Only two or three accommodations brave the cold season to accommodate the most intrepid - and that was us. We had the privilege of staying at Hofer Alpl from December 26th to 29th and it was unthinkable that we would leave without a review of the experience as it exceeded anything we could have ever imagined. Hofer Alpl is the essence of Alpine hospitality, where warmth and sophistication harmonize without pretentiousness. Here there are no excesses to distract from the raw charm of the mountains, but a perfect balance between comfort and authenticity. An oasis where you feel appropriately welcomed and respects the soul of the place. The cuisine, rooted in local tradition, proves to be unexpectedly sophisticated. Each plate, generous and controlled, speaks elegantly of the region. The service, in turn, is of rare attentiveness and we would particularly like to thank Nora for her benevolence and tireless availability. Prices are far from the extravagances one might fear and remain extremely fair given the quality of the experience. The team demonstrates remarkable flexibility, responding to the smallest needs without ever seeming to be doing too much. And then there is the backdrop. Nature is sovereign and surrounds the hut with absolute silence.

12/01/2025: We only went for lunch and didn't stay overnight. Eating coleslaw with bacon and tagliatelle with ragout was very tasty. Very friendly staff. Can't say anything about the overnight stay and the room.

25/01/2025: With a friend we were desperate at 5pm we couldn't find where to eat...coincidentally in the search we found this bistro and calling Silvia she responded promptly...yes we're open! we rushed in and...the environment found it warm and welcoming but above all... of quality! you say...you great!!! Last but not least...but we really fell into the pistachio cheese cake with chocolate cake, and so it was the top dish!! Great surprise this place to propose and propose again 💯💫💫💫💫

02/02/2025: Lo chef Angelo d'Amico ha portato una cucina di alto livello nell'entroterra di Solopaca. La location esterna è sicuramente da migliorare, basterebbe poco perché la visuale della valle telesina e dei monti circostanti è davvero spettacolare. Una voltra entrati si è avvolti in un'atmosfera elegante e curata in ogni dettaglio, con personale preparato e cortese. Abbiamo pranzato ieri nella veranda del locale, quindi luminosissima e con vista sul promontorio circostante. Provati due dei tre menù degustazione, il cavallo di battaglia ovvero Radici e poi dall'orto al parco del Taburno. Entrambi ricercatissimi e curati sia nella presentazione sia nel gusto. L'uovo croccante con tartufo e bufala è spettacolare, per niente scontato e sicuramente di non facile preparazione. Delicato nonostante gli ingredienti. Il risotto al blu di capra è qualcosa di eccezionale, un'esplosione di sapori sapientemente amalgamati. Gli altri piatti davvero eccellenti. Dell'altro menù una menzione va al carciofo cotto in un modo fuori dal comune, con soli ingredienti vegetali. I dolci sono davvero molto buoni e sono accompagnati dalla piccola pasticceria creata sapientemente. Carta dei vini all'altezza della cucina, il maitré super esperto sugli abbinamenti. I prezzi sono totalmente in linea con il livello delle proposte. Non sindiscute sulla ricercatezza dei piatti e sulla loro preparazione, faccio davvero i complimenti allo chef. Avanti così, ci rivediamo presto!!

17/01/2025: Very nice and clean place. We had the 4-course tasting as a gift to which we added the tasting of wines by the glass. We were very satisfied and also had fun. Excellent tagliatelle with generous portions of guinea fowl and turnips. The meat had an excellent flavor and was cooked impeccably, we also liked the desserts divided into 3 courses. Nice experience.

Aperitivo e antipasti in sala dedicata, molta varietà e particolarità (bicchierino con letto di pure' e cotechino, polentina calda con moscardini in umido). Servizio impeccabile, i ragazzi che ci servivano al tavolo molto attenti e professionali. Ambiente caldo e accogliente con caminetto scoppiettante. E per terminare una torta nuziale goduriosa, biscotteria, amari e vin brulé caldo per un matrimonio in pieno stile invernale. Tutti soddisfatti e felici. Grazie per tutto!

The dining rooms are large and well furnished, the menu with a high-sounding description of the dishes but, in the end, apart from the folkloric "gourmet" garnishes on the dishes they serve you very little. The wine is of good quality and the price is proportionate. I have had lunch there a few times and at different times, on the occasion of anniversaries, weddings or family celebrations and personally I have never been enthusiastic. I wouldn't want this bad impression of mine to also be due to the intolerant attitude of some waiters towards simple requests. In any case I don't love it.
