26/06/2025: As soon as we entered, in addition to the warm welcome from the owners, we were pleasantly delighted by the excellent aroma coming from the kitchen. We opted for fish but there is also an excellent choice in the land menu. Very fresh fish, cooked to perfection and with passion! I highly recommend it! Congratulations indeed!

20/06/2025: Every time I am in Pisa I come to Mario. Exceptional Margherita, crunchy and slow-rising, also *gluten-free*. Friendly staff and top-quality pizza. A cool place in Piazza delle Vettovaglie for evenings with live music (there are street musicians) in a cosmopolitan and medieval setting.

26/06/2025: We went for dinner, a charming place in a large garden cared for in every detail. We had 2 first courses, 2 second courses, wine and dessert... everything was delicious with particular and refined combinations. And then what can we say about the service? Attentive and precise! Thanks to Alberto who also made the service friendly and pleasant!

12/07/2025: Ordered panzanella romana and zuppa di faggioli, both nicely seasoned with herbs. Also amatriciana and cacio e pepe pastas. Food was good, but disappointed to see US-style tipping options (15%+) on the card terminal.

09/07/2025: EXCELLENT FOOD AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL Four of us had lunch here on Sunday, July 6th, with a reservation, which I highly recommend. The place is small but welcoming, decorated in light wood with wine labels and some charming writing: a real treat! Fabio, the owner, was incredibly kind; we felt welcomed right at home. We had the pleasure of enjoying the expertly prepared bruschetta and platters; the gricia and amatriciana were perfect, not to mention the roast suckling pig! The pistachio tiramisu was a real treat, and we finished off with some donuts and a passito (Thanks again, Fabio! 😉). The menu offers traditional Roman dishes, impeccably cooked. The wine and beer selection is excellent. The service was quick and precise, and the place was spotlessly clean. Good value for money. I highly recommend it. And we'll be back!

16/07/2025: Truly high quality gelato, a lot of flavours, all flavours I tried tasted great (Fragola, mango, melone, stracciatella, vanille, especially pistacchio from sizily is great).

19/07/2025: A lovely little place overlooking the harbor. The dishes are few, but well-prepared and carefully prepared, with some Ferrarese influences. The service is informal and friendly. The price is all in all reasonable for a dinner. We had a great time.

19/07/2025: My husband and I went to dinner at La Cantina, drawn by the numerous positive reviews. We started with two appetizers, both good. Then for my main course, I ordered the catch of the day, John Dory baked in foil, which the owner had raved about. The price, however, hadn't been quoted to me, nor was it listed anywhere. That alone isn't good enough. When my plate arrived, I was immediately perplexed by its size—it was truly tiny. It was a ridiculous portion that no one should have had the courage to offer as a main course. My husband's tuna portion was also truly meager. It should be noted that the restaurant isn't billed as a gourmet restaurant, where very small portions are typically expected. When it came time to pay, the worst—I mentioned this to the owner, who immediately acknowledged the excessively small size of my plate, saying that a discount had already been arranged. (The discount was on a price that hadn't been quoted to me at the beginning, however...) Unfortunately, at that point he called in the co-owner, who was extremely rude and even started making fun of us. First, he justifies the meager size of my portion by saying that the supplier had supplied them with particularly small fish that day. (So maybe it would have been better to either not buy it or offer it as an appetizer, at most??). Then he LAUGHS at the fact that I might have gotten the smallest slice, followed by "Well, you didn't eat that alone, did you?" and the grand finale, "Come on, I left you wanting more!!!"—which speaks for itself. It was truly terrible, bullying behavior. The two stars go to the appetizers and the table service. Needless to say, we wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

05/06/2025: Fixed menu for 40 euros, the best restaurant in town! We loved it so much that we went twice in our 4 day trip to Dolomites! Definitely worth a detour.

26/05/2025: Simple, rustic place. Few seats and reservations are mandatory. You eat what there is and it's all excellent, served in the right quantities. Wine and grappa also artisanal production very good. Simple and courteous service. Price slightly above average, but the quality of the food makes up for it
