29/05/2024: Highly recommended for the fish and the friendliness - if I may allow myself a suggestion, the mixed grill of fish (very evident flavors and light seasoning, never intrusive) and the breaded sardines. The place is small (a room with about 30 seats), so it's best to book (especially on Saturdays). Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer places like this in Trieste.

31/07/2024: Reviewed by a local - Angelina used to be an excellent trattoria but the quality of the food and service plummeted. The antipasto misto is still a valid and good-looking platter for 2 people, but that's about it. If you bave never had sea food before, or a sea food based pasta, then it will work out well for you. But if you are looking for something with more of a kick, you will be disappointed. Beside the antipasto, we ordered the shrimp salad with balsamic vinegard (an absolute scam of a plate), pasta allo scoglio and pasta al pesto. Whilst the portions were good, the dishes were bland, anonymous and overpriced. Kudos to the young waitress for the excellent service, whilst the manager made up pay also the salad we did not touch for how bad it was.

06/06/2024: Pub located just outside the city, easily reachable by public transport, good quality food, vast assortment of sandwiches and dishes, the environment is the classic one of an American pub, the only flaw is the price not exactly in line with what you eat for 47 .00 euros for 2 coke sandwiches, beer and onion rings.

04/08/2024: Fantastic bar in a little square with a few other bars and a couple of cool little shops. Interesting beer in draught and friendly service. Ideal for a spot of whist and a few wee dougies.

21/07/2024: Warm welcome and guided tour to the table by the owner. We sat outside on the terrace. The pizzas and salads tasted good and the price-performance ratio was fair.

10/08/2024: Do not eat the veggie burger, it lacks taste and is not good. The other food we ordered was nice and service was good!

08/08/2024: Unfortunately we didn't eat here. We had to wait a long time because no one came to our table to bring us the menu. Finally I got them myself. After a while a waitress came and told us that the kitchen was closed (closed from 2 p.m., it was shortly after 2 p.m.). Very annoying and a real waste of time for us.

02/07/2024: The illy café is very elegant and is located in the pedestrian area of ​​the center of Trieste, offering a good view of the canals. In addition to the classic excellent quality coffees, drinks with particular aromas are also prepared depending on the season. The croissants are prepared fresh and have a soft interior and a crunchy crust, really delicious. I especially liked the almond one. The only flaw of the place in my opinion is the somewhat rude staff, but it's still worth stopping for a break.

12/06/2024: The interior of the store is ordinary, with no special features, but the staff is pleasant and friendly, and the pistachio croissants are delicious. The croissants are unique in that they have a somewhat thick cream like Nutella on them. Tiramisu is square in size, about 2 centimeters wide and 2 centimeters long, and is very bite-sized, so it is somewhat less cost-effective.
