The atmosphere is classic, typical of a Carso tavern. A real gem is the soundproofing, which prevents annoying echoes when the room is full. In the summer, there's a lovely, cool outdoor area. The dishes are excellent, and you have to try them all.

It's a bit remote, but the little extra effort is amply rewarded. A quiet little village of stone, exposed brick, and cobblestones, the place is unfussy, old-fashioned, sincere, and clean, and welcoming. No music, just the conversation. Good selection of first courses, local meats that are always fresh and well-grilled. Delicious desserts (I usually don't order them, but considering they're homemade, I saw them pass by...). Very fair prices, friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent trattoria in Malchina serving traditional local cuisine. The fusi, orzotto, and lubjanska pasta are particularly popular. The atmosphere is simple and the service is efficient. Recommended.
