Agriturismo Debelis In Trieste

My husband and I had lunch together. We've been wanting to try this Agriturismo for a while, thanks to some rave reviews from friends. We booked on Saturday for Sunday. The menu changes weekly, featuring Triestine dishes. For starters, I had a vegetable flan, which was very pleasant. My husband's first course was served at the same time: bread gnocchi with roast gravy. It was excellent (the only downside was the gravy, which wasn't reheated very well). The decision to serve both together so as not to leave one of the guests empty-handed was much appreciated. Next, I had a ricotta and spinach "strucolo in straza" with butter, which was truly remarkable, while my husband had a goulash with polenta, which was absolutely excellent, with the meat being super tender. For dessert, a chocolate and orange mousse, very rich and delicious, and a portion of palacinke (crêpes) with chocolate, a classic. To wash it all down, a good Cabernet Franc and a Coke. Reasonable prices for the quality and super-fast service!

I don't know why it had such a low average rating. While not the easiest to get to, it's definitely worth a visit because the food is top-notch. I recommend the pork belly and chocolate cake for dessert, if available, since the lady who runs it said the menu changes weekly. There's a porch with outdoor seating, a pleasant view, and off-site parking.

We celebrated our little girl's baptism a few days ago and had a wonderful time. The staff was helpful, the food was delicious and plentiful, and the price was absolutely reasonable! We'll definitely be back for more!

Delicious food and welcoming staff. Renovated restaurant just minutes from the city center, the view and green spaces make it feel like you're out of town. Ample parking in front and outdoor space for the warmer months. Excellent prices. Highly recommended!

I went back after a long time because I had good memories of it..... Poor service, mediocre food, horrible wine, enormous waiting times between courses and a lot of rudeness...
