25/08/2024: Beautiful terrace in front of the sea, an historical place in Triest. The restaurant has a great view and it's perfect for a dinner/lunch in Summer. They offer fresh fish cooked with mastery at the right price. The owner suggests what they can offer that day (best choice, in my opinion) but you can order from the menu which rich and interesting with some local dishes. Don't forget to reserve your table, otherwise it's difficult to get one. This is is the right place to enjoy food and friends.

07/08/2024: We arrived at around 1pm today, Wednesday 7 August, after having browsed and chosen from the reviews in the area. Convenient time and quiet day. I would have loved to have lunch and try the dishes described, but we were literally swept out with the answer "there is no room" thanks, without even looking at each other. There are 4 of us (two adults and two girls) and we looked at the counter to ask if we could have lunch after we had crossed the large terrace with the tables set (free), only one with 10 people who were already eating and another with a kind lady in front of a cappuccino who was surprised to see us leave like this. Even you who are perhaps regular customers and see customers fleeing. Too bad 🤷 I would have preferred to write about the goodness of the dishes... I don't think we'll come back to try them another time.

02/07/2024: The illy café is very elegant and is located in the pedestrian area of ​​the center of Trieste, offering a good view of the canals. In addition to the classic excellent quality coffees, drinks with particular aromas are also prepared depending on the season. The croissants are prepared fresh and have a soft interior and a crunchy crust, really delicious. I especially liked the almond one. The only flaw of the place in my opinion is the somewhat rude staff, but it's still worth stopping for a break.

07/05/2024: We discovered this place during a short stay in Friuli, staying right in Casarsa della Delizia. We didn't know about the Wine Festival... walking through the town we stopped in this young and lively place for an aperitif. Given the high level of satisfaction, we also returned for dinner where, for the occasion of the festival, platters of local cured meats and cheeses and various delicious crostini were offered. The selection of wines is excellent with an eye to those of the area. Furthermore, the evening was pleasantly enlivened by the Sigillo Imperiale DJ set, a wonderful dive into the best house music of the 90s. The warm climate contributed to the success and it was very nice to see so many people not only in the club but also in the town. Surely if we were to return to the area we will not fail to stop at Punto d'Ombra. Young, friendly and efficient staff, excellent value for money. Advised!

21/08/2024: We came here due to the good reviews. At 13:30 almost all was sold out. We had to wait an hour for the serving unfortunaly and food was good but nothing special. We paid 30€ for two lunch with water

08/07/2024: Warnung vorab: Das Familienunternehmen mit angeschlossener Vinothek ist für Schnellesser nicht zu empfehlen, aber für Menschen mit ausgeprägtem Sozialneid völlig ungeeignet! Wer aber Ruhe will und Zeit mitbringt und dem es nicht stört, dass vor allem vermögende und gepflegte, ältere Italiener mit schönen Autos hier Stammgäste sind, der bekommt einen gastronomischen Genuss. Die beiden Ü 70 Patrone im Service, sind nicht nur Gentleman alter Schule mit weißen Hemd, Weste und Fliege, sondern bieten auch exzellente Gastlichkeit mit italienscher Meeresküche an. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist aufgrund der Top Qualität der Speisen und Getränke und der sehr angenehmen Ambiente, absolut angemessen.

16/06/2024: Wer auf Schicki-Micki-Publikum mit Lamborghini und Ferrari steht ist hier richtig. Dabei sollte man sehr viel Zeit einplanen um das Treiben auch zu genießen, denn außer wirklich sehr bemüht schnellen Bedienungen, die immer etwas gestresst wirken, geht hier nichts wie üblich normal schnell. Da kann es schon passieren, dass man 1 1/2 Std. auf ein Spagettigericht warten darf, natürlich nur um den Getränkekonsum ab € 7 pro Glas Wein zu 0,1 L hoch zu halten. Ja, richtig, wir sind noch in Italien, nicht in Deutschland, wo das durchaus normal wäre. Die Gerichte waren zwar gut zubereitet, aber im Vergleich zu anderen hochpreisigen Lokalitäten am Ort eher durchschnittlich. Die Rechnung war am Ende zum Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wirklich gesalzen. Am Ambiente und am Kundenauftritt dürft Ihr wirklich noch Arbeiten. Es war die zweite Chance, die wir Euch gegeben hatten. Ergebnis: Man sollte der ersten Intention folgen. Fazit: Eher nicht zu Empfehlen! Danke und Grüß Gott!
