16/12/2025: I've only been to the restaurant. The dining room is beautiful and elegantly decorated. Excellent food and fast service.
09/12/2025: This place offers traditional dishes with a twist. You may or may not like them, but they're definitely worth the effort. I only had lunch, and I definitely recommend the tagliolini scrigno Bagatto. The plating is impressive, and the ingredients are of high quality.

27/02/2026: The price was in line with other restaurants in Trieste, although the cover charge was quite high for not having tablecloths. The food was good and in sufficient quantity, and the service was courteous and helpful. The average cost for the two evenings was €33 per person, certainly expensive for the amount we ate.
27/02/2026: The best place I’ve visited in Trieste. The food was great, the portions were really big. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. Going to return here to try their pizza.

Beautiful interiors and a private garden.
The meal was good.

24/09/2025: I believe our server was the owner - he gave detailed descriptions of the menu in fluent French, Italian and English. He was very friendly. We ordered a local wine from Friuli-Venezia which was delicious and reasonably priced. I had the monk fish which was tougher than I’m used to for white fish but I suspect that is the local style. My husband got the pork cheeks which were amazing.

07/02/2026: Let me start by saying that my wife and I are regulars. We dined at Al Collio for New Year's Eve, opting for the meat menu. And, as always, we were satisfied. For us, it feels like home. Whether you come for lunch or dinner, know that they cook everything freshly. So if you're in a hurry, this isn't the place for you. Thank you for making our New Year's Eve a wonderful experience. The only downside was our neighbors at the table (Mrs. Sandra G., as she signed her review), who didn't seem to be happy with anything, and they also annoyed us with their attitude. Hugs to all of you.

26/11/2025: Nice, well-kept atmosphere, friendly and courteous staff, fried calamari a little too dry - perhaps they should have been taken out of the oil first - price a little above average.
23/11/2025: We arrived for lunch after calling to see if there was room.
An employee (I think the owner) showed us a seat after a somewhat rough welcome.
As soon as we were at the table, he didn't even let us sit down and asked what we wanted to drink.
"Hold on, let's see what we have."
Very rudely, he told us they only served fish.
I replied that I don't eat fish, but my wife does.
In response, he told us they served fish from the appetizer to the end, without even offering a side dish or any other option. He shrugged his shoulders and made it clear it wasn't his problem.
We had no choice but to walk away, say goodbye, and he didn't even look at us.

18/12/2025: If you want to eat good fish dishes, this little osteria is for you. It's a bit cramped, but the atmosphere is welcoming, the staff are helpful, the prices are fair, and the food is slurpable!
18/12/2025: Very good fish, traditional recipes with well-balanced combinations that showcase the diverse flavors. The location is typical, the service is truly warm and friendly, and the prices are perhaps slightly higher than expected. In any case, a recommended choice.

05/01/2026: The owners are wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and functional. The food is excellent for a reasonable price. Ideal for beautiful hikes in the low-to-medium mountains. A little out of the way if you want to visit a few other towns. You sleep well in the total silence. In the evening, it's very easy to spot wild animals.

We've been there twice; both times we had a great time, and the staff was friendly and professional.
The food wasn't divine, but it was definitely good: once the pizza and the second time the classic grilled meat. I'll be back to try the fried fish.

10/03/2026: I ended up here by accident, my car broke down on the highway 😅
The staff speaks fluent English and German, so the language barrier isn't a problem. The price is affordable, the rooms are clean, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I recommend it 😅
09/03/2026: It's located roughly halfway between the Austrian and Slovenian borders. A nice place to stay overnight in a campervan. We drove through Italy on a country road and stayed here overnight. Electricity and water cost €20.00.
