12/03/2025: I heard that the bus would be delayed by 30 minutes, so I went to eat, but it came 10 minutes earlier than the original time, so I couldn't eat a few spoonfuls and had to take it out, but they gave it to me right away!! It's delicious and comes out quickly. 2 minutes after ordering? Haha, it looks like it's caught... It's like adding cooked food on top. As of March 2025, chicken biniyari is 6 euros, lamb is 7 euros, and eggs are 5 euros. The kebab looked good too, but I ordered the biniyari. The prices in Trieste itself are reasonable, but it's still a good value for a meal! The portions are quite large and I am full!

04/03/2025: Tasty kebabs with generous portions, open until midnight, and conveniently located near the main station. P.S. Also tried the pizza, surprisingly good for fast food!

26/03/2025: I hadn't been back for months and I'm sorry because I had always had a good time. Instead today the environment was very cold, customers counted 6 including me, mediocre quality food and very poor presentation. I ordered a dish where, in the photo, there were vegetable sprouts and color in addition to the salmon. I received a white plate with 4 slices of salmon rolled up like a roulade and placed on a whitish sauce. I had to pick up the menu again to understand what I had ordered! I have been there several times in recent years. Today I have definitively closed that door

20/03/2025: The restaurant is nice, with "little houses" with sliding doors for groups or families. In recent years we have used the take away option with on-site collection (obviously not all you can eat, you pay for individual choices) and, apart from a few wrong orders due to misunderstanding over the phone, but then corrected, it has never disappointed us! Excellent sushi, for us the best in the area at reasonable prices, even the starters, I don't know about pastas and main courses. Sometimes longer waiting times if the place is crowded, generally precise and efficient.

23/01/2025: Local a few steps from the main square. Very simple and essential place. The menu is very extensive, offering typical dishes of Friulian cuisine, meat main courses but also some fish dishes. They also have vegan options: both single dishes and pizza with plant-based “mozzarella” (taken from our friends). We tried the pumpkin gnocchi with smoked ricotta, butter and sage and they didn't taste like pumpkin and were in a butter broth. And finally a coffee. Unfortunately I wouldn't go back.

23/03/2025: Always fantastic, I stopped again after a year from the last visit to Trieste... what can I say, Buffet da Gildo never disappoints, friendly staff and food that calling it "excellent" is not enough (so much so that I went back to take away for dinner too). Calamari always top, also the patate in tecia and the strudel delicious. Strong point? The super honest prices 🙂

03/01/2025: Simple inn, without luxuries and with pleasant service. It has a superb restaurant. It is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

09/01/2025: Ristorante elegante e raffinato, in cui si trova un’ottima accoglienza, abbinata ad ospitalità e cura dei particolari. Ottimi piatti, sia a base di carne che di pesce; cantina fornita di eccellenti etichette. Da tornarci sicuramente quando si è in zona!

29/12/2024: Very classy, warm and cozy atmosphere for this small little restaurant. They open the kitchen early and you can arrive for dinner or simply have an apertivo from 18.00! The food is great, wine paring is amazing and the service impeccable, al for a very reasonable price. They manage to custom tale a 5 course menu ( for 2 ) so that you always get something different even if you go there often. The cost quality is definitely one of the best in town! The only small “downside” I can find is that they sometimes lack in consistency and the same dish sometimes is not as the previous time you eat it. Witch can be disappointing if you really want to eat that same thing again because it was That good 😊!!!

10/03/2025: I saw a review that spoke well of a visit on Monday evening and I decided to reply. Authentic pearl, I tried the saffron risotto, braised beef cheek with gremolada sauce. The latter is particularly exciting, the light lemon aftertaste gives a very pleasant freshness to the palate. Attentive and friendly service. Whether you are passing through or local, I absolutely recommend a visit.

15/02/2025: Lunch for two without reservation. The environment is one of the most evocative of Spilimbergo. We were greeted with a warm smile and served excellently. Dishes executed magnificently: creamed cod starter, crunchy calamari, first spaghetti with Luciana-style octopus and green olives, pappardelle with white pork and Fassona ragù. All excellent, accompanied by a good glass of wine. Congratulations to Michele and all the staff!

26/02/2025: New location, excellent quality of food and friendly staff. Possibility to purchase wines, beers, cold cuts and cheeses at the reserved counter. One flaw is that there are few seats and too close together but if you like public relations with neighbors at the table it can be positive.

08/02/2025: The ice cream makers are super nice. The ice creams are very good and the food in general is great. The bathroom is dirty but not too much.

02/01/2025: Very good ice cream. Even in winter I like to eat it. The pasticciotto and the cannoli should be reviewed, since the latter was particularly "soft". Therefore, I definitely recommend ice cream and in particular, as in the photo, the brioche with ice cream just to raise the glycemic index to prepare for the day at work or after a long day at work, also combining it with a good coffee. Highly recommended.
