Absolutely highly recommended restaurant.
Today I was in a hurry and not being able to prepare dinner I thought I'd get some fried calamari to take away..
Truly exceptional, crunchy, tasty, plentiful.. Believe me... These calamari were amazing.. Plus there were also two nice slices of polenta.
Super fresh fish.. and very quick preparation to take them home.. Plus they were made on the spot.. No small feat.
A compliment to all the staff.
If you come to Trieste you absolutely must make a stop.

Returning from Slovenia I entered Trieste and right in the center (in front there is the aquarium with parking) there is this very simple trattoria. The homemade tagliolini are spectacular; not to mention the battered scampi tails where the batter was simply sublime! With wine, water and coffee I spent €28.

Located in the center of Trieste, Trattoria Al Collio offers an excellent choice of traditional fish dishes and great classics. The staff is old fashioned, friendly, kind and professional. We still follow a catering professionalism that is now almost disappearing. The dishes are prepared and of excellent quality! The environment has remained faithful to a time now gone by, but still offers memories of a typical trattoria where you could spend good time with your family.
Ultimately, Trattoria Al Collio is highly recommended for spending a quiet evening and tasting excellent fish dishes.

We were with you for dinner on November 30, 2023 to celebrate 50 years of maturity... We thank you for your professionalism and the patience shown by all of you: songs, decorations and everything else allowed us to spend a wonderful evening , thanks to your total availability. The menu is excellent, plentiful and special!!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Food has been fantastic in this small trattoria, fish focused but with meat and veg options. Service familiar and warm. Good wine. Price in the 40€ range, 50 for full 3 course meal, not one of the cheapest places to eat in town, but prices in city center have gone bonkers every where with white boats.

Nachdem wir am Nachmittag einen Tisch für abends reserviert hatten, wurden wir am Abend vom Chef persönlich empfangen und zu unserem Tisch gebracht. Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und schnell. Die bestellten Speisen kamen in der gewünschten Reihenfolge und waren sehr lecker und absolut empfehlenswert. Das Ambiente des Lokals ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Jedoch insgesamt kann man diese Trattoria Al Collio Auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

Per cibo 4 stelle perché ci siamo andati durante la barcolana prenotando prima guardando su internet il loro menù abituale. Non ho visto o non mi sono accorta che per quell’evento c’era un menù unico anche se con diverse scelte. Mio marito e mio figlio ai quali piace il pesce han gradito tutto molto. Io perché non amo il pesce ho trovato quasi nulla di mio gradimento. Ma ci torneremo sicuramente informandoci però meglio sul menù.

Comida boa, bem preparada, ambiente simples mas aconchegante e atendimento adequado. As mesas do lado de fora ficam em uma praça movimentada, muito agradável .Preços justos.
