25/12/2025: I'll start by saying that I've dined at the Chitantolo restaurant a few times, and the quality of the fish is very high. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the place is tidy—everything is just how I like it.
The Christmas Eve takeout was a real treat for my husband and me.

We enjoyed the stuffed zucchini flowers, the pisarei, and the typical batalàbar, tortelli con la coda. Considering the quality of the dishes and the service, the prices are more than fair. Highly recommended.

26/01/2026: The pizza was good, but the service wasn't the fastest, but we went at 2:20 PM, almost at closing time, which is 3:00 PM. The option to choose the thickness of the pizza was nice.

13/12/2025: This restaurant is located in a historic setting, very clean and well-preserved, with attention to the elegant and relaxing atmosphere. I ate well, even alone, and enjoyed the tranquility. It's a perfect place for couples, families, and business lunches and dinners. The magic of this welcoming place is definitely worth the expense. Kudos also to the staff for their expertise, elegance, and friendliness.
08/08/2025: Spectacular service, excellent food, and a beautiful, historic location.
We ordered two appetizers, two first courses, and two desserts, kindly recommended by the woman who served us. They also offered us a small appetizer with two arancini and a sampling of two small cannoli after dessert. Everything was delicious.
The dishes were full of personality and of the highest quality, beautifully presented.

14/12/2025: We went for lunch for the first time this Sunday, taking advantage of the beautiful day. We were greeted by the owner, who was very friendly, helpful, and available throughout the meal. The atmosphere is beautiful and quiet, and on sunny days, there's a lovely view of the hills. As for the food, it was all delicious: well-prepared and flavorful, all traditional Piacenza dishes. The homemade bread was also delicious; I hadn't had anything this good in a long time. The price was super fair, offering excellent value for money. I recommend trying this place; we'll definitely be back.

23/02/2026: After years, we returned to this restaurant for a friend's birthday. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the wait staff was friendly and helpful. We chose: mixed cured meats with giardiniera (pickled vegetables), fried gnocco, and bortellina (both classic and with onions). Among the first courses, the tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, anolini in broth, and Piacenza tortelli with butter and sage were excellent. For main courses, we ordered horse meat picüla (picula) and horse meat tartare. The desserts were truly exquisite. It was a pleasure to return and savor the delicious dishes of Piacenza cuisine.

15/01/2026: Perfect place for business lunches, they have both an à la carte menu and a daily menu, and a wide selection ranging from traditional Piacenza dishes to vegan cuisine... basically, there's something for everyone.
I've been there a few times, and the service is quick (they're very friendly).
They don't have a set menu; prices vary depending on what you eat and drink.
The atmosphere is very welcoming, especially in the large dining room, which also has a fireplace.
We like to come here for lunch every now and then. I know they also do breakfast, but I've never been.

25/02/2026: A restaurant with a beautiful view of the Piacenza hills, well worth the drive up the hill. The decor is classic and welcoming, reflecting the local atmosphere. We dined with colleagues, and the waiters and owner were very friendly. The traditional cuisine was excellent. The homemade pasta was delicious and truly artisanal. The focus was on seasonality and local products. That evening, since mushroom season was in full swing, we were treated to a fresh porcini mushroom salad and fried porcini mushrooms...spectacular.
Overall, an excellent restaurant for those who want to experience local flavors and Piacenza traditions.
