We visited Castell'Arquato a couple of weeks ago...a very picturesque place, definitely worth a visit. We stumbled upon this gelateria by chance, and...boom...the best gelato I've ever tasted...the truly traditional and unique location certainly sets the mood for a positive experience...but the gelato is truly exceptional for the intensity of the aromas and flavors it conveys to the palate, while also maintaining a good consistency. Excellent

Baiocc is a sure thing! Camilla and Marco are both helpful and courteous. We contacted them for our wedding cake and small pastries, and they were completely satisfied. Our guests enjoyed everything.

Excellent gelato, not always the same flavors. You can see a lot of effort in this product. Carpegine pozzetto, excellent scooping, perfect temperature, distinctive gelato flavor. Very clean place. The owners, two young guys, are very kind.

The owners of Baiocc Gelato Lovers were super lovely and provided an extensive list of recommendations for things to do in the area, they even lended us their personal hiking guide book! Their gelato was to die for, the smoothest, most delicious pistachio gelato I've ever had! Would highly highly recommend!

Antica Osteria di Borghetto

09/05/2026: We found it by searching Google because we were in the Piacenza Expo area for the toy fair. We based our review on it, as they were all very good. What can we say? A surprising discovery. Located in the hamlet of Borghetto, this trattoria offers a variety of dishes, including many typical Piacenza dishes. We had the cured meats with fried gnocco called chisulén, which were truly delicious. We continued with the first course par excellence, Pisarei e fasö (10/10), and a less typical but equally delicious dish, spaghetti with squid ink, scampi, and asparagus. To finish, we sampled two traditional desserts, a crumble cake and a büslan (doughnut), accompanied by a fantastic zabaglione cream and a mascarpone cream, equally good, but the zabaglione one was the best. We washed it all down with two glasses of prosecco and two glasses of water. The bill was average. We will definitely return if we ever find ourselves in the Piacenza area again.
03/05/2026: Simple atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff, excellent food, and reasonable prices. I'll be back.

13/12/2025: This restaurant is located in a historic setting, very clean and well-preserved, with attention to the elegant and relaxing atmosphere. I ate well, even alone, and enjoyed the tranquility. It's a perfect place for couples, families, and business lunches and dinners. The magic of this welcoming place is definitely worth the expense. Kudos also to the staff for their expertise, elegance, and friendliness.
08/08/2025: Spectacular service, excellent food, and a beautiful, historic location. We ordered two appetizers, two first courses, and two desserts, kindly recommended by the woman who served us. They also offered us a small appetizer with two arancini and a sampling of two small cannoli after dessert. Everything was delicious. The dishes were full of personality and of the highest quality, beautifully presented. Excellent experience
