03/11/2025: A remarkable experience in a beautiful location. Despite its large size and large seating capacity, the restaurant, even though it's called a trattoria, stands out for its elegance, impeccable service, and high-quality restaurant prices. We appreciated the attention to detail and the appropriate timing for a holiday lunch. Upon entering, you're struck by the immense open kitchen, bustling with chefs and hard-working staff. Continuing, you enter one of two beautiful dining rooms, with tables spaced just the right distance apart for comfort. The menu, while not extensive, focuses on traditional meat and freshwater fish dishes. Since it was our first visit, it was difficult to choose, as all the dishes were tempting and we wanted to try everything. We opted for meat dishes, promising to return to try the fish menu. Although we imagined the cured meats would be exceptional, we chose the guinea fowl salad with mustard, red apple, currants, and hazelnuts. A perfect choice: the sweetness of the meat paired perfectly with the acidity of the apple and currant, while the hazelnuts added the missing crunch. The helpfulness and kindness of the staff allowed us to enjoy a second course of first courses: the classic pisarei e fasò, here enhanced with sausage, and an excellent maccheroncino al torchio with porcini mushrooms, chanterelles, and pumpkin cream. While we played it safe with the pisarei, with the maccheroncini we were impressed by the deliciousness of the pasta al torchio, its perfect texture and chew, as well as the intense flavors of these autumn fruits. An elegant and delicious dish at the same time. The second course did not disappoint either: baked goose leg with potatoes. We were told that the geese come from a farm in Mortara, where the animals are fed only grain in the wild. I don't remember ever tasting such tender, juicy, and flavorful poultry. Like all main courses, this dish is expensive, but the quality of the ingredients fully justified it. The desserts also deserve a mention: we enjoyed a very good three-flavor tiramisu. Lunch was accompanied by a Gutturnio superiore from the La Tosa winery; the wine list is rich with excellent wines, including from outside the region. In conclusion, a lunch at the Cattivelli family is worth the trip, perhaps even in warmer weather to enjoy the beautiful summer terrace. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, and the service is attentive and friendly. The price is substantial, but the quality and service fully justify it.

20/08/2025: The Piacenza tortelli were delicious, with attentive and professional service. The appetizers were very good; the only slight flaw was the desserts, which I found weren't up to par with the rest of the menu.

07/10/2025: I've been missing this trattoria for a while, and I noticed they've improved the atmosphere; it's even more welcoming. They welcomed us like old friends, always kind and friendly. We ordered anolini in terza brodo, which were more than delicious. The cappellacci with ricotta and coppa left a wonderful memory. The horse meat tart was incredibly fresh, the roast veal melted in your mouth, and the potatoes. Even the dessert dipped in zabaglione, the tart, and the semifreddo were top-notch. All served with a cup of red wine and a glass of Ortrugo. We always have a great time, and I hope we can book more easily. Because of their deliciousness, they're always fully booked. But they deserve it because every dish is crafted with love. Bravo, bravo, bravo!

20/11/2025: I wanted to try the grilled pigeon. It was excellent, a truly brilliant choice.

20/11/2025: One of those places worth trying at least once in your life. Good natural wines, stunning location, friendly and well-trained staff, impeccable service. Expectations were even exceeded!! First of all, a special mention goes to the bread, focaccia, and breadsticks, which were flavorful and crunchy. The culatello was truly delicious! It's hard to find a culatello that melts in your mouth like this. Must try. Rice Bomb: A crispy crust encases creamy rice with mushrooms and pigeon, savory and impactful. Wonderful atmosphere! The quality/price ratio was right for the quality and quantity of the dishes; with a good wine, we spent €162.00 for three.

05/11/2025: A well-preserved and charming castle located a short distance from Piacenza, with 15th-century towers, a large internal courtyard with pleasant green spaces, and a perimeter moat. It often hosts events, including the interesting Fair of Ancient Fruits and Flowers, featuring displays of artisanal food and textiles. The only complaint is the restrooms, consisting of unhygienic cubicles that are inadequate for the high number of people attending the various events.

03/11/2025: I went for a fair and it was pleasant to walk around the large space around the castle. The whole thing is very characteristic.

01/09/2025: Excellent gelato, perhaps the best in Piacenza. It's not easy to find: it's on a small, popular street not very close to the historic center. It's a shame that you have to stand on the sidewalk; there are no benches or chairs. But as long as the quality is good and the price isn't too high, it's acceptable.

30/08/2025: It's my first time here and I found it by chance, the ice cream was very good, both fruit and cream, I tried strawberry and yogurt, nuts and honey were excellent

04/11/2025: We found this restaurant in the Slow Food guide. The guide's recognition is well deserved! Everything we ordered was delicious; we especially loved the cheese selection and the opportunity to try different types of coffee. The service was top-notch.

11/10/2025: So much love! So much passion! And so much dedication, it shows in Chef Isa Mazzocchi's dishes. La Palta Restaurant offers impeccable yet discreet service in a grand, atmospheric dining room. The soft lighting, classy music, and Monica's attentive service make you feel special. I still think with wonder and delight today about the flavors, colors, and combinations of ingredients in the dishes served.

09/11/2025: One of the most wonderful evenings you can spend with friends and family! We chose this trattoria for a dinner of gnocco fritto with friends. Based on the name and past personal experiences of some of our group, we chose Pescarolina. Since we live in Lodi, we drove 45 minutes to get there. Parking was ample, and the restaurant was easy to find. The reservation was quick and easy, thanks to WhatsApp messaging. We booked two weeks in advance, and I recommend booking. The fixed menu included appetizers, with refills of gnocco fritto and cured meats as soon as they noticed we were running low. Pickled vegetables were already on the table upon our arrival. A trio of first courses, lovingly prepared in the kitchen, all delicious! The service was fast, friendly, and incredibly warm! The stories the lady serving us told us made us feel like part of the family! Coffee and liqueurs, a cake buffet, wine, and water for €35 per person! We'll definitely be back!

19/10/2025: A unique restaurant, the staff is friendly and helpful. The food wasn't bad, but the portions were small and, in our opinion, not very flavorful. The main courses would probably have been a better choice, and definitely an excuse to return.

10/11/2025: A truly delightful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and attentive, warm service. Refined, delicious country-style cuisine at moderate prices for the region. We visited last year and were once again very satisfied!

25/10/2025: We just had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant. Everything was delicious. We ordered the traditional cured meats platter, the trio of mushrooms, pisarei, and fasö, and for dessert, the pistachio parfait (divine!). Simple dishes, excellent quality! The waiters were truly kind. The bill was reasonable. Thank you all! (Only one thing: the chairs are a bit uncomfortable, something to improve on. 😄)

16/11/2025: A fairly elegant place, I'd say with a restaurant-like atmosphere rather than an osteria. The food is good, the service is good, and the prices are average.

16/11/2025: Overall, good food! We drank a good bottle of Ripasso, but the receipt showed two bottles! Since we're not from Piacenza and were the last ones to leave, even in a bit of a hurry, we realized it too late! Pay attention to the receipt! The three of us spent €55 each!

10/11/2025: Discovered by chance for a quick lunch. Not sure what to eat? "I'll give you a snack" says it all. Soft focaccia on the inside and crispy on the outside, with truly tasty fillings! The owner is friendly, smiling, and very approachable. This is one of those places that makes you say, "I'll definitely be back!" Top marks! Thank you so much! 🤩
