04/05/2025: I went to this restaurant with my boyfriend during a visit to Gubbio, delicious food, especially the gnocchi stuffed with truffles!
03/05/2025: We were recently in Gubbio and had dinner at this restaurant. The place is very nice and the dishes we had were excellent. The biscuits offered with the coffee are very good.
The bill is fair for the quality of the place.

04/05/2025: We came across this restaurant by chance, one of the best known in Spello. We found a place even though it was a holiday; Even though there was little confusion, once we ordered we had to wait a long time before being served. The quality of the food is unquestionable: we took a platter of cured meats as a starter and strangozzi with bacon, pecorino and pistachios and pappardelle with wild boar ragout as main courses; everything really delicious. Recommended especially in the evening for a quiet dinner if you are in this village.

23/05/2025: The restaurant Il Caldaro is located in the locality of La Bruna, a hamlet of Perugia.
The structure and the rooms are elegant and refined. The staff is helpful and kind.
Regarding the food, it can be said that some reinterpretations of local dishes are excessive and far from local flavors.
4 stars because dining in a group in the "limonaia" makes the evening pleasant.
Menu: as you can also see on the website, varied and pleasant.
Bill: if we consider the type of this type of structure, in line. Certainly not cheap and above average if you consider the location, panoramic view, etc.
However recommended.
13/05/2025: Absolutely delicious pizza and grilled octopus. Friendly, English speaking staff. No reservation was required. The location, building exterior and interior are beatiful. Very clean toilet. Large parking. I highly recommend to eat with your bae, friends or family. Moderate prices.

11/05/2025: To get there you have to take the road that passes from Assisi to Mount Subasio if you go by car. If you prefer to go on foot, you can park in Assisi and arrive in half an hour with a walk through the woods.
The restaurant is beautiful and quaint. Worth a spin to see the extreme customizations that have been made. Writings on the walls, dedication icons! The Bracere is wonderful.
All very good.
10/05/2025: Nice place just above Assisi. Many tables available outdoors and indoors. Very good food with large portions. Honest prices.
From the restaurant car park it is possible to reach the center of Assisi with a short 20mi walk through the woods.

05/05/2025: Siamo capitati per caso in questo ristorante l'ultima sera del nostro soggiorno ... peccato perché saremmo tornati per provare anche le altre proposte del menù! Ogni portata è un tripudio di gusto accompagnato da qualche parola che ne amplifica la percezione.
Davvero ottimo!

Antipasti ottimi! Salumi, giardiniera e il famoso maritozzo mazzafegato strepitosi. Ottime anche le tagliatelle con ragù di chianina per non parlare del dolce base sfoglia che avevamo richiesto come torta di compleanno. Buona cantina. Personale gentile e disponibile.

02/06/2025: We had lunch here on June 2nd and we were very satisfied! The dishes are all local products, all delicious, in particular we ate the liver paté, the pici with Chianina and pecorino, and the carp as a second course of fish... all delicious! The carp was a surprise because it was very tender and very tasty! And also the livers Top!! I also thought the other appetizers and second courses of meat at the other tables were very good! And the quantities are right with normal prices! Furthermore, the staff is very attentive, the waiters are friendly, ready to advise you and quick in the service despite being a holiday and it was full of people! ... we ate outside and the place is very beautiful, lake view, scent of the flowers that decorate and birds that chirp contribute to creating a beautiful relaxing atmosphere!
Surely if we return to Castiglione sul Lago we will return to eat here!
