Our family with three small children had a great experience at the Taverna del Lupo. The manager/owner went out of their way to find a candle and sing for our middle child who was celebrating their birthday. The food was excellent, and the opportunity to sample different types of typical plates from Gubbio should not be missed!

Evocative and beautiful setting, impeccable cuisine, and professional staff. It costs a little more than other places, like 3-5 euros, but the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the quiet are worth the lunch. I left La Tana del lupo feeling very satisfied (unlike other Umbrian restaurants). Top!

I had 3 starters, 3 main courses, and 3 desserts. The starters and main courses were very good, well-balanced, and with perfectly adequate portions. The desserts could be improved, in my opinion. They were good, but I don't know if they could be improved given the quality of the starters and main courses. The price was reasonable, except for the slightly pricey desserts. The staff was discreet and helpful.

We visited Taverna del Lupo for Valentine's Day dinner and were completely satisfied. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, despite the restaurant being packed. Special thanks to the owner, who gave us personalized attention. The food was excellent, and we enjoyed our meal. We highly recommend it.

05/04/2026: A positive experience, one I'd definitely love to repeat. Impeccable service and staff.
08/03/2026: We stayed at this country hotel on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner). Our room was clean and well-maintained, with beautiful stone walls and exposed wooden beams. Both split air conditioning and fan coil units were available. Our bathroom had a bathtub with a shower and a hairdryer. Sky TV and good Wi-Fi, considering there would otherwise be no internet access. A generous breakfast, both sweet and savory, was served self-service, while hot drinks were served at the table by the staff. The restaurant adjacent to the country hotel is where we dined on two evenings. The menu features mostly meat-based dishes, including local specialties, and is delicious and generous in portions. The location is also very convenient, with good access to the highway, making it easy to reach Perugia, Assisi, and other destinations.
