05/12/2025: Excellent dishes!! As per Tuscan tradition, we had a great time.

01/12/2025: We are three friends from Versilia who were visiting the Christmas markets in Empoli on Sunday by train. We happened upon this trattoria by chance, enticed by the simple Tuscan dishes. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they welcomed us warmly and found us a table. We ate excellently prepared traditional dishes in a simple but warm and clean setting. From appetizer to dessert, everything was delicious, and the price was excellent! We'll definitely be back... thank you.

06/12/2025: The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is very characteristic and the menu is very varied... also suitable for those with gluten problems.

04/12/2025: I’ve been studying here for a few months and this was definitely one of my favorite meals I’ve had in Florence. I had the tortellini with avocado and pomegranate and tiramisu. It was some of the best I’ve had in months. The servers were also super friendly and it’s a cute restaurant!

29/11/2025: Confirmed 8 pm Friday reservation cancelled on arrival – manager extremely rude to our young children We had a confirmed dinner reservation for 4 people (including our 6- and 9-year-old children) on Friday 28 November 2025 at 20:00. We arrived on time and showed the confirmation on my phone. The manager – heavyset man with tattoos and a small ponytail – barely glanced at it, shrugged, and said “no table, we are full” in a very abrupt and dismissive tone. No apology, no explanation. When our confused kids started asking “what’s happening?”, he glared at them and pointed his finger right in their faces in an aggressive, intimidating way. We’re in a foreign country with young children, so we chose to leave immediately rather than make a scene. After a frantic search we managed to find and reserve another restaurant about an hour later. The staff there were incredibly warm and welcoming — we actually ended up having a lovely family evening, just not here. Turning away a family with small children is bad enough. Doing it so rudely — and especially intimidating the kids — is completely unacceptable. Very disappointing experience at Trattoria Lo Stracotto.

24/11/2025: The food is very simple and very local, just like the service, straightforward and quick. Don't expect masterpieces but riboletta, peposa, pasta, grilled vegetables and potatoes, wine all were good and large portions. We sat with large groups of locals who enjoyed the same dishes.

14/11/2025: The meat was delicious. We were served pate foie gras, but we didn't like it much; it wasn't to our taste, but it was good. Since we didn't like foie gras, they brought us a side of bread with thyme, olive oil, and tomatoes. The waiter was very attentive, and the atmosphere was nice and warm.

09/11/2025: Good vibes, rustic setting in a cave like dining place. Good Food, service still to be improved. All things in menu reasonably priced. We enjoy the food.

15/10/2025: What a great place! Real authentic taste of Italy, offering local florentine cuisine. So many fantastic tastes to try and relish, we loved it! Amazing choice of local wines too.

23/10/2025: Second dinner at the Obicà Mozzarella Bar, and always the same enchantment. Exceptional Italian cuisine, where mozzarella, a true star, enhances each dish. Special mention goes to the tasty, melt-in-your-mouth burger, enhanced with incomparably fresh mozzarella, and the perfectly mastered accompaniments. The Tuscan Borrigiano wine paired wonderfully with the meal, thanks to the team's expert advice. The service is impeccable: professional, attentive, and warm. The setting, both modern and cozy, invites you to fully savor every moment. A must-visit address in Florence, which we recommend without the slightest hesitation.

17/11/2025: We went with friends for a birthday lunch. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, the cooking was perfect (honorable mention for the tagliata), and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back, highly recommended!!!

09/11/2025: The lasagna was not good at all and overpriced. A tiny small portion! And they offered it as “menu for the day” not recommended at all

10/05/2025: Viajando por trabajo, cené aquí solo por recomendación de mi anfitrión Airbnb. Disfrutamos mucho de mi comida - la pasta hecha a mano era delicioso. El servicio fue amable y rápido. El precio era razonable. No me sentí fuera de lugar comiendo por mi cuenta, me dieron una mesa regular, no sentado al lado del inodoro / cocina / aire acondicionado unidad (como a menudo sucede a los comensales solos! )

30/09/2025: Very nice place, we went for lunch, it's a very well-kept location with wonderful greenery. Excellent cuisine with a traditional menu but the dishes are very well prepared.

12/07/2025: We were here for a wedding. The location is gorgeous, the food is quality. The portions aren't very generous, even though they're reheated. The staff is kind and helpful, though not all of them are very professional.
