09/03/2026: We were passing through and stopped for dinner, 7 of us (4 adults and 3 children). Well, there's not much to say... The food was excellent and the portions were generous (just right for me and him, as the chef said 😂😂😂) and then the rare beef steak... Let's forget it, I'm already hungry again 😅 If we pass by again, we'll definitely see each other again 🥩 P.S.: I've read some reviews that mention the owner charging children aged 2, 3, 4, etc. a cover charge. I have two children aged 2 and 4, and when I go somewhere, I know I have to pay a cover charge for them... They're people too... For example, mine want to eat alone and inevitably they drop some pasta on the floor, or a couple of chips, or a bit of salad, or crumbs, and so on... Someone has to pick up that stuff on the floor... So it seems fair to me that I pay a cover charge for them too... In the end, it's about €2/€2.50 per cover charge... If you're not willing to pay that for your kids, it's better to stay home...

17/01/2026: 🍷🇬🇧 Ristorante Da Loro is a magnificent place. The pasta dishes are exceptional: high-quality, well-seasoned, and above all, very generous. One of the best dishes I've tasted is the Ox, a true delight: beef wrapped in pancetta, flavorful and cooked to perfection, truly satisfying. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I've been going to this restaurant for years, and each time it confirms its quality. Highly recommended! 😉👌

18/03/2026: We stopped for an aperitivo, and the cocktails were truly interesting (perhaps given the unique nature of the place, some of the glasses were a bit too bland). The location is spectacular and very scenic. I would change the seat cushions. Prices are high, but justified by the ambiance and the quality of the cocktails.

18/03/2026: Beautiful atmosphere and great coffee stop! We were looking for a small bite and coffee to catch up over and this place was perfect! I ordered a cappuccino and French fries that were served with cute little jars of mayonnaise and ketchup and my friend got an iced caramel latte and muffin. We enjoyed what we ordered and appreciated the friendly/attentive staff- would for sure come here again and recommend it to those who are looking for a spacious place to have a good coffee🥰

29/10/2025: Today I'm writing a new review of my favorite restaurant for several reasons, delicious food, whether it's pizza, meat..... and desserts..... good price, excellent service, semi-family run, I often go to relax and enjoy a beautiful landscape and a nice evening, with my wife or friends, last time there were 4 of us, we wanted meat, but we wanted a mix, and I must say that the waiters, even though it was off the menu, they satisfied us, what more could you want?! Now I'm organizing a dinner with work colleagues, having in addition to the summer outside in the greenery, they have a large room and a smaller one inside, in fact I have celebrated various events there over the years, birthdays and family ceremonies with convenient packages, I highly recommend it!

26/10/2025: This is our second visit to the restaurant, and the food is very good, with attention to food intolerances. Depending on the season, you can also find fresh mushrooms.

29/11/2025: Excellent place with a view of Santa Croce. I often recommend it when people ask me about a place in the area that serves good pasta, very good ragù, good pici and also lasagna.

05/10/2025: Ordered just pizzas and beer. The taste was like frozen pizzas from the supermarket. I wish I could rate them even lower. It is a shame to serve such bad pizzas for Italy standard. The service was Ok however the waiter was a bit unkind with a face like he is not happy to serve us.

15/06/2025: Abbiamo chiamato ahimè, alle 13 per chiedere se fosse possibile un tavolo per le 13.30,il cameriere, giustamente ci ha detto che la cucina chiude alle 14,quindi abbiamo fatto il prima possibile ad arrivare in questa splendida location! All'arrivo ci hanno detto subito che il menù era quello scritto su un tabellone e di fare in fretta nelle scelte, rimembrando che la cucina stava per chiudere! Scegliamo in piedi ma, se volevano far veloce potevano anche darci la carta dei vini... Prendiamo: 1 tagliere Salumi e formaggi 1 gnocco 1raviolo(l'unica cosa positiva forse, dico forse perché alla pasta mancava qualche minuto ancora 1 tagliata al sangue ma servita media Partiamo dal tagliere, per 20 euro poco più o poco meno ti aspetti qualità o quantità ma a dire la verità qualità non mi sembrava tanto eccezionale e quantità non ne parliamo proprio che erano 2 fette di crudo, 2 di salame, 2 di coppa 3 tipi di Pecorini 1 triangolino a pecorino, che quasi non riuscivo a dividerlo con la mia ragazza Lo gnocco si attaccava al palato, cosa irritante ed il raviolo era quasi crudo, tutto ciò perché i cuochi dovevano andare a casa Li capisco, faccio lo stesso mestiere, ma ricordo loro che le persone pagano per andare a mangiare!! Fine delle 3 portate, ricordo noi arrivati alle 13.30 finite le 3 portate alle 14.11,nemmeno andassimo a prendere un aereo, il cameriere si butta subito dicendo :"Caffè?", anche se noi avevamo voglia di dolce abbiamo preferito non dare fastidio alla cucina! Quindi abbiamo detto di sì al caffè e senza nemmeno ascoltare il cameriere ho fatto scegliere a lui l'amaro,perché vedevo fretta La cosa che mi ha fatto più ridere, essendo cuoco, all'arrivo del caffè arriva un'allegra famigliola di 4 persone, li avete fatti accomodare e avete anche detto di sì alla pasta Gluten free del cliente! Quindi vorrei chiedervi, coerenza per i prossimi clienti e professionalità visto che comunque abbiamo pagato un bel conto anche se non ci è piaciuto tanto ciò che avete fatto!! Buon lavoro!

12/10/2025: Il Pinone. A historic restaurant on Montalbano. The furnishings are a bit dated, but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, offering a wonderful view. Traditional Tuscan cuisine with a meat and fish menu. Friendly and efficient service. This time we opted for the meat menu and took advantage of the availability of local porcini mushrooms. Everything was delicious. The ingredients are treated with care. The wait times, considering the restaurant was full, were absolutely appropriate for freshly prepared dishes. Special mention goes to the desserts prepared by Ilenia. We were full, but we couldn't say no, and we were right. A delicious warm cheesecake, an exquisite chocolate mousse, and Ilenia even let us try her salted caramel brittle... Super! Absolutely excellent value. Then we sat on the terrace to eat like lizards. Ample parking under the pine trees. Great in the summer for a bit of cool air. I could have posted photos of the dishes, but you know, I won't. Why? Because you have to come. Enjoy your meal.

03/03/2026: A terrible experience, not to be repeated. The first course was edible, but the second course is better in prison. The cutlery was filthy and smelled like a stable. It's fine that we're a group of kids on a field trip, but we're not animals.

04/09/2025: I'd known the place for years but had never stopped in. Even though it wasn't on our agenda, we stopped in for a quick bite. We quickly learned it was under new management, managed by Albanians only a few months ago. The products looked inviting at first glance, and the schiacciata dough and pizza slices were good. We ordered two schiacciatas and three pizza slices, a small bottle of water, and a coffee for about €30. Definitely too much. The prices were high, and would have been justified if there had been table service, but instead they hand you a canteen-style tray and you go find a place to sit. I don't think I'll go back.

07/03/2026: Too bad. Until recently, they told me it was a good restaurant, now... For God's sake. I have Spanish friends and I know how they eat in Spain, so I speak with knowledge of the facts. Let's start with the menu: it's okay that the concept may have been adapted, but in a Spanish restaurant I don't expect to find carbonara or pasta alla sorrentina among the first courses, so I think: "Is this a way to meet demand?" Then I continue browsing and find serious inconsistencies. Okay, I'll have something typical: polpo a la Gallega (Galician-style octopus, served with potatoes and pimenton - paprika -)... so four octopus tentacles on five slices of boiled potato with low-quality paprika thrown in by the bucketload. Not a drizzle of oil, not a pinch of salt. A bland dish, without identity, without flavor. To be honest, not even in a canteen does one eat so blandly (and not for free, mind you, €10 a portion). Okay, let's see the broken egg (an egg cooked a certain way, with prosciutto and sliced ​​potatoes, as per the original recipe). A simple fried egg is brought with pre-fried potato sticks and three slices of prosciutto on top (also not cheap: €10). Okay, let's get down to the wine; a bottle of Ribolla, a white wine, was warm. Extra virgin olive oil from Carrefour. In short, for the price, I expected more, a more thoughtful and refined dish, but instead, it was a disappointment on all fronts. The ambiance would even be nice if it weren't for the pieces of sheet metal here and there, the dusty fake vegetation, and the decor that's meant to look radical chic but is actually a jumble of metal chairs and tables mixed with shoddy IKEA furniture. Hasta luego... Never again.

22/02/2026: It was a lovely discovery in Empoli, near the station. The place is meticulously maintained and features sophisticated, trendy decor. Excellent for an aperitif with tapas.

10/02/2026: We booked days in advance for Sunday, February 8th (lunch)... We found the restaurant closed! There were about ten people in addition to us who had booked... The restaurant was closed without any notice and they don't answer the phone.

13/09/2025: Excellent food, unique flavors, moderate prices. Welcoming staff, excellent service. Quick service, relaxed atmosphere. The house wine was very good, and the first course with wild boar ragù was delicious. The wild boar was homemade. And all this with a beautiful view of the square. Highly recommended.
