29/12/2025: We dined at this restaurant and the experience was truly excellent in every way. The place is beautiful, welcoming, and well-kept, perfect for a relaxing evening. The food was simply excellent: we started with a charcuterie board and crostini, both of great quality and truly delicious. For our first course, we chose ravioli stuffed with Pienza pecorino cheese and creamed spinach, which were exceptional, delicate, creamy, and rich in flavor—probably the dish that impressed us the most for its balance and deliciousness. The rosemary tagliata, tender and flavorful, was equally impeccable. To conclude, an excellent tiramisu. A restaurant we absolutely recommend and will gladly return to.

01/02/2026: Two friends of mine and I were wandering around Florence and found ourselves in front of La Carabaccia restaurant. We asked ourselves, "What should we do?" Should we go in? We went in and discovered this lovely, very clean and well-kept restaurant. Delicious food, very knowledgeable and welcoming staff. Not to mention the owner, Domenico, is fantastic. If you go to Florence, you can't miss this restaurant!!!! I highly recommend it!!!

13/01/2026: A rustic restaurant on the road between Calenzano and Barberino, so it's a very convenient spot if you're traveling along those roads and want to stop for a bite to eat. The dining room where they reserved a table for us was beautiful, and it was nice that it was round. There were six of us, and we went for Sunday lunch. The menu isn't overly extensive, with just the right number of dishes; they also serve fish! We all opted for two courses; I had the crostini with provola and truffle, and for the second course, the mixed fried fish with vegetables. What you see in the photo is just a portion of the fried fish; they serve it for at least two people, and the plate of fried fish they brought us was truly packed with meat and vegetables. Unfortunately, there were some slightly embarrassing oversights in the service. The first was that someone at the table had ordered lasagna, and only after the first course were we told they were out of stock. This meant we had to choose another dish and ask for the menu. It almost felt like we had to memorize the dishes... The second oversight was not serving everyone at the same time, which meant some people had to wait for the other dishes to arrive, and in the meantime, the food got cold. The third was that almost 40 minutes passed between the first course and the second course, and it took another 15 minutes for desserts to be served—really too long a wait. Luckily, the desserts were the best dish, a truly excellent conclusion; the yogurt cream with berries was superb. Quite good value for money, but it's a shame about the service. I'd love to go back to see if it was just a bad day. I recommend it if you're in the area and want to spend a fair amount; I wouldn't go there on purpose.

12/01/2026: We ended up there by chance and it was a terrible experience. The place is falling apart, plaster is peeling off the walls and covered with paintings... the staff is unfriendly and the prices are exorbitant for what we ate... P.S. We had booked with the fork with a 20% discount, but when it came time to pay they didn't accept or offer the discount... Terrible experience.

06/01/2026: A classy restaurant, with excellent cuisine and service. Overall, the food was good: the risotto was excellent, but the meat was a bit tough. However, there was no final attention, such as a pre-dessert or a small pastry, which are usually found in establishments of this caliber. I must also report an unpleasant incident: I left cash at the checkout, but my €15 change was never returned. When I asked for it, the waiter said he thought it was "for them." At that point, I pointed out that he would have to bring me the change back if necessary, and that only then would I decide whether or not to tip (and, in any case, how much). Despite this, he continued to be vague, so I let it go. A misunderstanding that partially ruined the experience and something I don't expect from a place of this caliber.

02/01/2026: The atmosphere is exclusive and very intimate with excellent service. The dining experience was a little less positive, with limited choices: either a tasting menu (five courses or three courses). In my case, despite having previously reported a lactose intolerance (and the reservation requires a €100 credit card hold), upon arrival I was informed that the five-course menu was not available due to my intolerance, forcing me to choose the three-course menu, which, being very small, was not enough to qualify as a complete dinner. Overall, given the total cost, the variety of the menu, and the overall satisfaction, I would not recommend it.

10/01/2026: Modest food, a large platter that's only impressive in price (not even in quantity), greasy fried fish. Service doesn't match the price. I won't go back and I don't recommend it.

09/12/2025: Family lunch yesterday, December 8th. Fantastic location, on the hills overlooking Florence, just below Monte Morello. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with a beautiful garden and outdoor seating for warmer days. Simple but tasteful table setting. Attentive and very fast service. Recommended appetizers include mixed crostini and excellent Tuscan prosciutto. Among the first courses, the dish of the day was excellent: handmade tortelli filled with ricotta and yellow squash on a bed of taleggio cheese fondue. Less popular were the tagliolini with mushrooms, which weren't very flavorful, as were the tortelli mugellani with ragù. We opted for the house special: mixed fried chicken and (for a select few) rabbit with "ragnatela" (spider web), accompanied by mixed fried vegetables and hand-sliced ​​potatoes—delicious! The house wine and moka pot coffee were also good! We didn't try the desserts. A bit pricey, but considering the location, we expected it: €40 per person, including children.

07/01/2026: A typical Tuscan restaurant, without frills, where the real added value is the authenticity of the food and the simplicity of the people. We were greeted very pleasantly, with a warm smile and a lot of spontaneity. The owner's courtesy is noteworthy, as is the food. The downsides were the wait time between the appetizer and the main course (20 minutes) and the lack of parking. It's still a great place. I recommend visiting if you're in the area and want to enjoy authentic Tuscan cuisine.

16/12/2025: Unfortunately we arrived late, the kitchen was closed and the service was finished. The tiramisu was good, the staff were very friendly.

30/01/2026: My husband and I went here during our honeymoon and this restaurant was one of our favorites, hands down. We ate there twice! The pasta was amazing, particularly their ravioli and tortellini. Their blueberry steak was also fantastic. Absolutely loved the atmosphere. We dined for late night dinner (thanks jet lag) and it was perfect. If we find ourselves in Florence again, I would love to go back!

20/01/2026: My sons and I went here for Florentine steak ($295 for 3 people, sides extra) two weeks ago and it was the best meal I’ve ever had in my life. The steak was cooked absolutely to perfection and seasoned extremely well and was the most tender, wonderful steak I’ve ever had. We also enjoyed the sides of asparagus and potatoes with truffles. I will be back as soon as I can get to Florence again. The waiter wasn’t very friendly, but the one next to him was and would sing and was wonderful. Definitely make reservations to get in. The place is bigger than you first think it is.

20/01/2026: Went for dinner. There are two waves for reservations and you wait outside in a line to go in (yes, even if you have a reservation). Ours was at 9:30pm. Our favorite dish was the burrata appetizer. I got the florentine steak for one, but wouldn’t recommend it if you have good steak elsewhere. It’s huge but not well seasoned. The lasagna was very unique and good with no layers or tomato sauce. Worth a try but not what you have in mind when you think of lasagna. More like a tagliatelle. The tiramisu was very good, as was the berry tart. Service was excellent! Overall, glad we tried it.

08/12/2025: This restaurant has not only the best pasta I have had in Italy but the kindest owners! One of the several times I dined here I accidentally arrived 15 minutes before open, regardless they greeted me with kindness, serving me bread and water even before open. I cannot recommend this place enough!
