08/12/2025: We had dinner at the restaurant; not recommended! The appetizers and first courses were passable, but the roasts and tagliata were a total disappointment: boiled and tasteless meat passed off as grilled, and artichokes on the meat passed off as fresh, but were actually preserved in oil. (On a tagliata, you can only imagine the flavor...) The prices were fair, but not enough for a dinner of this magnitude. No offense intended, but we won't be returning.

08/12/2025: Total disappointment, not recommended! We went as a family with the idea of ​​enjoying some good grilled meat, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing in many ways. The service was terrible, with friendly but poorly trained waitresses who gave vague answers to questions about the menu. We were told the vegetables on the tagliata were fresh, but they were clearly preserved in oil. When we commented, they replied that they were "out of season," which was absolutely not true. The grilled meat didn't seem grilled at all, but rather boiled, tasteless, and perhaps even reheated. The rosticciana had a suspicious flavor, as if it had gone bad. The first courses were acceptable, but nothing exceptional. Paradoxically, the best dishes were the dessert and the fries... frozen! The only positive note: fair prices. But unfortunately, that's not enough to make up for such a disappointing dinner. We won't be returning.

31/10/2025: When I'm in the area, I stop for a quick business lunch. The food is excellent, featuring typical Tuscan dishes and more. Good value.

09/01/2026: The owner welcomes us, he seems friendly, and we simply ask if they do the daily menu (for workers). There are two of us, so... two first courses, two second courses with side dishes, water and coffee, €16 each! Fresh, well-cooked food, really plentiful! The place is warm, simple, and welcoming. If I happen to be here again at lunchtime, I'll definitely stop by.

01/01/2026: I booked for New Year's Eve dinner with a couple of friends. Usually, the food isn't great for parties, but I was satisfied. The ingredients were good and well-cooked, the portions were just right, and the service was attentive and professional. The price wasn't worth judging, as I was there to have fun and they were there to work. Recommended.

27/07/2025: Semplicemente fantastico dal primo fino al dolce. Abbiamo preso i pici cacio e pepe, una fiorentina con patate e un tiramisù. Il locale è piccolo ma caratteristico e i camerieri sono gentili. Lo consiglio vivamente per una cena intima, ci ha lasciati a bocca aperta.

05/01/2026: Located in the heart of the historic center, yet conveniently located just a 3-minute walk away, with ample parking available free at night. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The hotel has a terrace overlooking the main square, where breakfast is served during the season, available for an additional fee. For the price paid in December, it's a very good value. It's a shame that, after a perfect night's sleep, at 7:10 a.m., a loud ticking sound from a pump behind our room (number 4) interrupted the perfect silence.

29/12/2025: We stayed at this hotel for a short weekend in Florence, during our visit to the Uffizi Gallery, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The property is beautiful and meticulously maintained, with immaculately clean and welcoming spaces. The staff is extremely kind, polite, and helpful. The breakfast is excellent, with quality products and a variety that demonstrates the attention paid to guests: even the wasa were included, a detail that truly makes a difference for those who appreciate a more complete and healthy choice. The superior room we were assigned was very beautiful, tastefully decorated in a classic style with antique furniture. The mattress was extremely comfortable, and we slept wonderfully. We also appreciated the selection of wines and personal care products; we, in particular, purchased two excellent bottles. In short, everything was excellent: comfort, service, quality, and customer care. A stay we recommend without hesitation.

07/06/2025: Io sono trooooppo affezionato a questo posto. Ogni qualvolta mi trovo a Firenze è tappa fissa. Cibo autentico e buonissimo. Qualità prezzo top. Ma ciò che fa la differenza, lasciatemelo dire, è la gente che porta avanti questa splendida “bottega”. Massimiliano, gabry e tutta la squadra….Mio posto del cuore a Firenze.

05/05/2025: Allá Vecchia Bettola está fuera de la trampa turística en Florencia - vale la pena dejar el centro y salir aquí. Nos encantó todo y la oportunidad de visitar otras partes de Florencia. La comida es maravillosa - el servicio y el ambiente también. Si tuviéramos la oportunidad y nos quedamos más tiempo en la zona, sin duda habríamos vuelto para otra cena o almuerzo.

07/01/2026: The Latins used to say "nonen omen," meaning: destiny is written in the name; a statement that is absolutely true for the lady who runs this trattoria, Gloria. In ancient Rome, this name signified "the notable prestige achieved by a person for their exploits or virtues"! And here, in the case of Signora Gloria, there are plenty of culinary virtues (and more), which I have had the opportunity to experience firsthand: from the care taken over the establishment, which has remained intact over time, to its structure and authentic atmosphere of traditional Tuscan trattorias; to its strategic location, straddling Via Tornabuoni and Via della Vigna Nuova; and finally to the warm professionalism of the service staff. But where "Gloria" manifests itself in all its splendor is in the core business of every restaurant, namely: the quality of the dishes offered. In detail: I ate a uniquely delicious lampredotto soup that, in contrast to the "robustness" of the abomasum used to make the dish, was nothing short of delicate. Then I enjoyed a flavorful and tender pork loin. I finished with a Florentine steak that was a true SPLENDOR, in its cooking, tenderness (probably due to the perfect aging), quality of the ingredients, and size. I truly cannot praise Signora Gloria and her staff enough for their work and for the attention and care they give to their customers. As an expert contributor, I can only recommend all community members to visit this wonderful place if you go to Florence.

29/11/2025: Excellent place with a view of Santa Croce. I often recommend it when people ask me about a place in the area that serves good pasta, very good ragù, good pici and also lasagna.

05/10/2025: Ordered just pizzas and beer. The taste was like frozen pizzas from the supermarket. I wish I could rate them even lower. It is a shame to serve such bad pizzas for Italy standard. The service was Ok however the waiter was a bit unkind with a face like he is not happy to serve us.

27/07/2025: Eravamo in 4 e abbiamo preso antipasto misto per tutti , 1 bistecca x 3 (1,500 Kg. circa), 1 filetto al pepe verde, funghi porcini di contorno, 2 dolci, vino della casa (tot. 185€). Il personale è cortese e il prezzo è nella media, niente da eccepire. Sinceramente però, da un locale blasonato come questo mi aspettavo qualcosa di più. Cioè, ho mangiato una bistecca come molte altre, buona, ma niente di speciale. Bello il posto fuori che hanno sul retro.

27/07/2025: La trattoria Sanesi è stata una bella esperienza culinaria. Abbiamo preso le pappardelle al cinghiale:sugo molto buono e papardelle artigianali; un buon piatto. Per secondo un misto griglia:piccione,rostinciana e groppa;la rostinciana solo per gola,buona ma niente di che il piccione e la groppa buonissimi la groppa saporita e tenerissima con il giusto grasso che la rendeva succulenta il piccione buono e ben cotto. Avevano una vasta varietà di dolci ma noi abbiamo preso i classici cantuccini con vin santo..un buon vinsanto e anche i cantuccini buoni. La cameriera è stata molto cortese,gentile e accogliente attenta ad ogni nostra necessità. Il locale nonostante fosse pieno di clienti ha una bella atmosfera dove non si avverte confusione. Il prezzo è stato giusto per quello che abbiamo mangiato. I parcheggi non mancano tutti gratis nelle vicinanze. consigliatissimo. Per chi non è di Lastra a signa poi,essendo la trattoria proprio nel centro del paese, si può fare una bella passeggiata per visitare questo piccolo centro storico.

07/02/2026: Great Juli, one of the best chefs in Florence. Everything here is delicious: exceptional meat, top-notch appetizers with prosciutto and artichoke salad, and truly superb rigatoni, flavorful and made to perfection. The desserts also get a thumbs up. The two managers, Ale (the younger) and Joe (the older), are fabulous: attentive, professional, and very attentive to their customers. The atmosphere is authentic, and you leave feeling truly satisfied.

05/02/2026: Typical Florentine restaurant. I enjoyed the sliced ​​beef with baked potatoes. Desserts: excellent cantucci with Vin Santo.
