04/08/2025: A typical local restaurant; we ate there for lunch on Sunday. Local dishes, quality ingredients, and excellent service. A very quaint location and lovely atmosphere. Excellent value. Recommended if you're in the area!

06/10/2025: It's a place I've known for at least 30 years, isolated, beautiful, all wood and a rustic style that I like (my dad loved it too). Unfortunately, I haven't been for at least 4 years and I found a more limited menu (only 3 appetizers and 4 first courses) and very bland and anonymous dishes (to my disappointment). Then, during mushroom season, no mushroom dishes, and when I asked why, the answer was "just subordination." But if you don't mention it when booking or if it's not written on the website, how can anyone know this? Meh 🙏. Too bad we left a little disappointed. Maybe we just had a bad night.

01/10/2025: I've known Il Conventino for many years and have never been disappointed. Excellent traditional Tuscan cuisine and fair prices.

23/03/2025: Bella scoperta! Ci siamo fermati a mangiare in questo ristorante per caso, di ritorno da Siena. I proprietari sono gentilissimi, soprattutto Andrea disponibile e accogliente. Porzioni abbondanti e prezzi giusti. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

08/12/2024: Family-run restaurant, so simple and welcoming, with an outdoor veranda that can be used in the summer. Traditional cuisine, more than generous portions. Excellent price/quality ratio. Even though I ate a very substantial meal, I had no digestion problems. I will definitely return.

09/06/2025: A typical Tuscan trattoria/pizzeria with excellent food near Castelnuovo Berardenga. The pizza selection is exceptional, and the quality of the pizzas is second to none. You should definitely try the struzzo, for example, as a tagliata.

La Terrazza della Val d’Orcia offers an unforgettable experience: a breathtaking view of the valley, accompanied by authentic Tuscan dishes prepared with seasonal ingredients. The Pici cacio e pepe pasta stands out for the quality of the pasta and its perfect cooking, but the extra touch is the addition of truffle, which pairs perfectly, making the dish indescribable. Unfortunately, several traditional dishes and some ingredients were sold out, which is why we were unable to enjoy some dishes. The service is courteous and attentive, with attention to animals as well. Prices are average for the area. The waits are a bit long, but this is something that can be worked around. I recommend booking for lunch or an aperitif because in the evening the landscape is dim, almost invisible, and the restaurant's location would not be fully exploited. The only real flaw in our dinner was that the kitchen closed without warning or asking if we still wanted to order, especially considering they'd told the waiters we wanted to take our time and possibly order meat as well. However, it was still a lovely experience. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a relaxing lunch, highly recommended.

12/09/2025: A small restaurant in the heart of Lucca. Reservations are highly recommended, as it's often fully booked. I can only comment on the quality of the Florentine steak, as we only ate that. Truly excellent, with a superb value.

05/04/2025: In questa osteria trovi il cibo genuino come una volta, il tortello mugellano di qualità eccellente, porzioni generose e attenzione verso il cliente. I prezzi sono veramente onesti, come non si trovano più da nessuna parte. La proprietaria è stata molto gentile con i nostri figli, ci ha persino regalato un pezzo di crostata a testa per far fare loro merenda! Se ci troveremo nuovamente nella zona ci fermeremo senza ombra di dubbio! Super consigliato!

The organization was impeccable: the staff was helpful, friendly, and attentive. The buffet was rich and delicious, varied, and every course was carefully prepared. Everyone was thrilled with both the quality of the food and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The perfect location for this occasion. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for helping make this important day unique and special.

12/07/2025: We were here for a wedding. The location is gorgeous, the food is quality. The portions aren't very generous, even though they're reheated. The staff is kind and helpful, though not all of them are very professional.
