28/01/2026: Passing by this place, we were intrigued by the comments we'd read, so we immediately asked: why not try it? It was a little past the most convenient time for a restaurant (1:50 PM), and we know it well, but they accepted us anyway. Our first impression was that the waiter was a bit grumpy (and the presentation at that hour certainly didn't help), but the food was a huge winner! We each ordered a main course with just one side and a dessert, forced by the "travel" factor, but we would have gladly tried other options because we were so spoiled! The Grand Carte was excellent, with some preliminary planning that we greatly appreciated! The guinea fowl was very delicate, beautifully presented, with a special touch: the exposed bone with the fried end, giving it a different texture than the main dish… the pici were excellent, cooked well, the onion cream was delicious and delicate, the contrast with the crispy pancetta was perfect, the pepper garnish was spot on, and above all, the customer could choose whether to use it or not… the cabbage flan was excellent… The dessert: the deconstructed millefeuille deserves applause! The pastry was crispy, the cream had a well-balanced texture, and the salted caramel was the perfect finishing touch for someone like me who doesn't like extremely cloying desserts! The young lady (the chef's sister) highly recommends the white chocolate tiramisu, which we'll be back to try! ☺️ The restaurant was very tidy, clean, and bright, and it's in an excellent location with a lovely view. I didn't see the other rooms, and I didn't look too closely because we wanted to vacate them as soon as possible. We'll definitely be back and trying more, but in the meantime, I'd happily recommend taking a break from them because they deserve it!

12/10/2025: A must-visit for lunch for those traveling on business via the Siena-Perugia ring road, just steps from the exit. The food, atmosphere, courtesy, and prices are worth a visit and a return visit whenever the opportunity arises.

21/01/2026: The start wasn't the best because we were greeted by a foreign girl who didn't speak Italian and who gave us two English menus because the Italian ones had run out. We received room temperature water for some reason attributed to the establishment, and we received ice after about 10 minutes. After this little mishap, we were given an Italian menu and were able to order. The food was really good, and the platter was very, very generous. Recommended.

01/03/2026: We can't describe the experience. We recommend sampling the platter, relying on the owner's passionate expertise. Honorable mention goes to the mustard and honey sauce on the sandwiches. The atmosphere is delightful, thanks to the excellent playlist and the owner's kindness. Before entering the entrance hidden among the creepers, if you're not familiar with it, you won't be able to imagine the timeless feel of this shop. This place speaks to the owner's courteous and ingenious personality, who, with his time and artisanal flair, offers exquisite creations for patient and curious palates.

09/11/2025: We visited this restaurant during our stay in Siena. Everything was good, in the best sense of the word. The ribollita and pici were tasty, without too many frills, and they kept us company like an old friend who may not surprise, but never disappoints. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was quiet.

02/01/2026: We went for New Year's Eve dinner. We ate à la carte. The fried cod appetizer cost €16. It was 3/4 of an artichoke and 2 pieces of fish so small they didn't even need cutting. The first courses were very good, both the spaghetti and the risotto. The Milanese cutlet was pathetic, salty, dry, and tasteless. The cheek was very good, as was the fish, although I don't know what kind of fish it was. The zuppa inglese should be renamed; it was a two-tone pudding that had nothing to do with zuppa inglese. The worst coffee I've had in 50 years. The wine was very good, the service excellent, and the tables were well spaced for privacy. Nice atmosphere.

01/01/2026: Dinner for December 31st was simply exceptional, delicious, seafood-based, and everything was excellent. Best wishes to everyone. It was a very pleasant surprise. We'll be back without a doubt. 🎊🌲🎊🥳🎉 The service, the quality of the food, and everything else were top marks. Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised. 07/01/2026: We walked in without a reservation, and the blond, light-eyed, very smiling and helpful young man sat us down. We ordered and were quickly served: Lucchese-style lentil soup, EXCELLENT, a humble dish but with very well-balanced toppings, characteristically the best we've tasted in the Lucca area. Baked potatoes, EXCELLENT, a real DRUG... we literally drank them... among the best we've ever tasted. Truffle tagliolini, EXCELLENT, well-soaked with its creamy sauce and the quality of the truffle shavings excellent, the pasta cooked perfectly! Steamed spinach was good, but be careful with the salt, it was almost inedible. Cantucci and Vin Santo were EXCELLENT, finally some "probably pastry-made" cantucci that deserve to be called such! 2 bottles of water, a glass of red wine, and 2 excellent coffees = €60.00 A special tribute to the chef, "father of the very young head waiter." I repeat my compliments; we ate very well and were served admirably. Overall, great image (a quaint little restaurant just outside Lucca's city center) and great substance (the chef's passion and love for his craft are evident in the dishes). The only flaw (which can be fixed) is the front door; unfortunately, the constant draft from the fact that it keeps opening makes it uncomfortable, especially for those unfortunate enough to be sitting at the entrance. I would definitely return. I will recommend it.

28/02/2026: A pleasant evening in this restaurant, immersed in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We started with a truly generous and delicious Tuscan appetizer, accompanied by truly excellent homemade bread. For our first course, we had homemade squid ink gnocchi, delicious and well-balanced. The meat was also excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was elegant, perfect for a quiet dinner or for hosting events or special evenings. Recommended if you're looking for authentic flavors in a charming location.
