15/06/2025: In this tavern my husband and I ate typical local dishes, one better than the other, even aesthetically they are a beautiful sight. The service and courtesy of the managers will make us return to this place for sure... Michela and Roberto🔝❤️

20/09/2025: Terrible food and arrogant staff. We went because we'd heard it was basic but good. In reality, management must have changed, or they treat strangers differently. Moldy pecorino cheese passed off as blue cheese. It was only blue cheese at our table, though... It's not expensive, but the food is truly awful.

19/09/2025: Maybe management has changed...but the dishes were poor, some of them really poorly prepared. For example, pappardelle with rabbit ragù should have been cooked by hand, but there were only crumbs of rabbit, and the pappardelle themselves were overcooked and all broken. The roast potatoes seemed old and reheated, practically hard and inchewable. Only hunger didn't stop us. The house wine was very warm, and the pecorino cheese in the appetizer was moldy and thought to be blue.

28/08/2025: A lovely surprise in the center of my city...Lucca! The atmosphere is very quaint and welcoming, the food is excellent, with excellent ingredients (the tartare and fillet steak are exceptional, and the first courses are excellent)! I highly recommend it!

27/08/2025: A few days in Florence, we don't have much opportunity to travel, but as soon as we visit Italy and many like me do. Trattoria in the center of Florence, communal seating on benches, fantastic meat with baked potatoes, curious but good waiters.

08/10/2025: The place is nice. The problem is that they serve the food very quickly, no matter what dish you order. The lasagna was cold in the center and very hot on the edge. The portion was also very small. I didn't like it at all. I wouldn't go back, nor do I recommend it. It's a shame.

07/10/2025: Our waiter and the manager/owner were very dismissive of us but were welcoming of everyone else that was Caucasian/Italian. I would not recommend this place to a person of colour. The service was awful.

30/09/2025: A steak is a steak unless it is in Florence which somehow elevates it to another level. The chefs made the night by putting on a display behind the glass windows. I feel sorry for them- it must be hot in the kitchen.

11/10/2025: This restaurant is recommended to tourists but also frequented by locals. We were there on a Friday evening, with a reservation. The food was good, with familiar dishes but also specialties like sweet vegetable tart for dessert. There were also dishes not on the menu. Ordering was quick, and there wasn't a long wait for the food. At 1930 it was still pleasantly quiet, but by 2000 it was packed and unbearable. The rooms are large and it got loud, very loud. We were glad to be outside. Even for Italians, it was too loud. Contrary to the menu's statement that you can't split the payment, a 50/50 split wasn't a problem. (By the way, it's legally illegal to refuse; it's an individual contract.) The first restaurant in Italy where I've seen this on the menu. Large parking lot, small fee, outside the wall, a 5-minute walk. The restaurant itself is in the restricted zone.

23/08/2025: A great place to stop for a proper lunch. We were their guests (20 of us) with appetizers and a mixed grill, wine, coffee, and some desserts: €48 per person. Honest.

05/10/2025: I made a reservation, when I arrived they told me that the reservation was there but they didn't have a table. They didn't give neither an option nor an apology, just told that I should find another place. I felt mistreated.

02/10/2025: Excellent food. Quality comes at a price. 40 euros for gnocchi, steak (not Florentine, but for one), water, and coffee. I was delighted.

04/08/2025: A typical local restaurant; we ate there for lunch on Sunday. Local dishes, quality ingredients, and excellent service. A very quaint location and lovely atmosphere. Excellent value. Recommended if you're in the area!
