04/08/2025: A cozy restaurant with a lovely outdoor area in a small Tuscan town. The service was consistently friendly and attentive – you immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the surroundings with their old walls are very charming. The food was consistently good: the bruschetta with salami and sun-dried tomatoes was delicious, and the carpaccio was beautifully tender and harmoniously seasoned. The tiramisu to finish the meal was also well-rounded. The wine list is well-suited to the region, and the prices are generally fair – perhaps slightly high for some dishes, but reasonable considering the quality. Overall, a successful visit in a very pleasant setting – ideal for a short culinary break in Tuscany.

03/08/2025: Quiet and cozy. The food was good, but not exceptional. We would have liked to have pizza, but that's only available for dinner in the evening. We ordered two bruschettas and a pasta dish to share. The pici cacio e pepe was tasty, but a bit too salty. The bruschettas were plain.

30/07/2025: I waited a good two years to write this review, hoping to get over my disappointment, but I can't... I'm shocked to see 5-star ratings. However, I believe that at Conventino they capitalize on the town's loyal customers and on "very" foreign tourists infatuated with Tuscany, for whom mediocre cuisine can seem like "good Tuscan cuisine"... Two years ago, I had a foreign guest, and I hoped I'd land on my feet, as they say, by taking him to a well-established restaurant in the area. He, I repeat, a foreigner, from the Nordic lands, enjoyed the dinner. I, a Tuscan, a native, someone who knows how to cook and has traveled the country, the country, and even the world enough to recognize poor quality food and service, instead found: • ravioli that looked like packaged ones (and maybe they were: the kind you get at A Zona Market, for catering, but bought ready-made, not made by them!) • mixed platter with ham sliced a little too long ago • pappa al pomodoro, for two, on a small pebble the size of a spoon but which managed to be half hot and half ice cold. • ice bartalucci. • the best now: beautiful wide-rimmed plates, on which, however, the reflection of the light clearly showed so many paw prints; "finger" prints (not finger prints...) that simply gave off a very dirty impression. I HOPE my guest had a different perspective on things, that it saved him from that sight. Either that, or he was gentlemanly enough not to point out the evidence of poor hygiene. Well...what can I say? I strongly suspect that the restaurant is still riding the wave of past and lost glory. Every time I pass by or hear about it, I tell myself that the locals must really love the managers/owners (I don't know what they are) to continue promoting this place and even frequent it. The long faces of the staff are also uninviting: three people who seemed like family. They treat people as if they were annoyed by the people who earn their living... But there's no danger, because I'll only return to that place if it changes management, since, if improved, the atmosphere would be beautiful.

12/08/2025: Il posto è veramente bello e caratteristico, bello sia nella parte interna che esterna! Il rumore dell acqua fa da sottofondo alle portate. Tordelli eccezionali, molto buono pollo e carciofi fritti!! Il tiramisù super. Posto consigliato. Scoperto per caso su internet mi sono fidata delle recensioni ed ho fatto bene. 17/07/2025: C'est une bonne enseigne en dehors du centre ville. Nous y mangeons bien et les prix sont corrects d'où les trois étoiles. En revanche, s'il s'agissait de noter l'expérience uniquement à partir du service, alors la note avoisinerait les -273°C soit le zéro absolu tant il était insupportable. L'un des serveurs était tout simplement détestable, détestable dans le genre je prends la commande sans vous regarder une fois dans les yeux afin de vous faire comprendre à quel point vous me fatiguez, je jette les assiettes sur les tables et ne vous dis ni merci ni au revoir. Je mets deux étoiles parce que nous avons bien mangé et que le regard plaintif du jeune collègue à ce grossier personnage m'a peiné. Au revoir.

23/06/2025: Best meal we had in Italy!!! Was staying at an Airbnb nearby and so happened to see this place on Google Maps, and read all the amazing reviews. It definitely lived up to its reviews. We walked in for lunch, and had a booking for dinner on the same day, so we could try out their pasta and also the florentine steak! Everything we ordered was amazing: -Briganti pasta (so simple, but absolutely delicious with quality ingredients) -Carbonara pasta (best carbonara I’ve had) -Florentine steak with a side of fried potatoes and zucchini (which the waiter recommended 🤤 -Tiramisu Would definitely come back every time I’m in Florence!

12/07/2025: Terrible experience. We booked for 9:30 and upon arrival, we were told we'd have to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Despite this, we only managed to get seated at 10:30, which is a shame because the meat was excellent.

07/08/2025: It's located inside the market. Don't think of it as a meal, but rather as a snack between lunch and dinner. It's good to have one for two people... The taste isn't bad, but it's so rich that you'll get sick of it quickly. The burgers are filled with only tripe, no vegetables. If you're in a large group, I recommend sharing the boiled tripe. There were four of us, and it was so rich that we couldn't finish it all!

05/08/2025: I had high expectations for Da Nerbone, but it turned out to be one of the worst experiences during my visit to Florence. The line was extremely long—clearly a tourist trap at this point. Once we finally got to the front, the staff was shockingly rude. They treated customers poorly and even insulted people in Italian, assuming no one would understand. It felt like they were taking advantage of the fact that most people there are tourists. Imagine you're in line waiting for the food, and they insult you in front of your face, and smiling of course. As for the food, it was just average—nothing worth the wait or the attitude. Florence has so many great places to eat, and this is definitely not one of them. Do yourself a favor and skip it.

23/07/2025: Truly fantastic and with excellent prices. Friendliness and professionalism were top notch. We were warmly welcomed with a glass of prosecco on the house. Noteworthy are some typical Apulian dishes, served with unique and refined vegetables. Congratulations! 👍

09/07/2025: This evening we were at this very cute and welcoming place... we ate divinely!!! We were served a glass of prosecco with crostini and olives... we had two appetizers to share between four people and a second course!!! We struggled to finish the second course 😅😅😅😅😅... but someone had room for a Sicilian cannoli!!! delicious!!!! They were able to advise us well, even because we would have gone overboard with the choice😅😅😅... we will definitely be back!!!! Thank you so much ❤️❤️

Voto 8.5 Pizzeria Da migliorare, ingredienti di qualità si vede ma la pasta della pizza non ci siamo, troppo croccante per non dire dura che non si tagliava. Mi spiace dirlo perché in effetti l'atteggiamento del pizzaiolo e di una persona che lo fa con grande passione e precisione. Anche il personale, specialmente la cameriera Ida veramente professionale e cortese, voto 9.5 Nel complesso ottima esperienza che certamente rifaremo il prossimo anno. Consigliato

02/08/2025: Osteria Del Gatto in Siena is a true gem! I can't believe I've only just discovered it. The dishes are classic Tuscan cuisine, but every single one has that special touch from the chef that makes them unforgettable. The freshest ingredients and exceptional dishes, even the side dishes.
