04/05/2026: During our holiday in Tuscany, we made a stop in Bolgheri. A small, charming village with a few shops, restaurants, and enotecas. We stopped at this restaurant with our two children. It was nice that there was a small playground where they could play while we enjoyed the view from the terrace and waited for our food. We were received very warmly, and it was great that—whereas most Italian restaurants close at 1 pm—we could simply eat there at lunchtime. We had the ravioli and lasagna. Very tasty! The wine tasted good too. In short, a nice spot to sit and eat during your visit to Bolgheri.

03/05/2026: Terrible experience, poor service (forgotten for 30 minutes without anyone bothering to take our order), cold meat, missing side dish, found it on the bill, and not even an apology!! Unfriendly, worst restaurant in Bolgheri.

26/05/2026: This was our first trattoria experience in Italy, and it was everything we hoped for. The food tasted truly authentic, the service was exceptional, and everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming. The hospitality was genuinely top notch and made the whole experience even more special. We absolutely loved it and will remember it as one of our favorite meals in Italy.

I wanted to replace the potatoes with mashed potatoes, but the girl who took the menus walked away without listening to my request. Leave this restaurant to Borghese. It was the only one with a table on Easter Monday. Does that mean anything? It's not worth the expense.

29/05/2026: A tiny, unassuming restaurant in the heart of chianti.. we were recommended to go here by our hosts and it was 100% worth it.. a family duo running the place. Great wine selection and the most tender bisteccha ever!

25/04/2026: Dinner with friends... There were eight of us, but since it was a Monday night, I wasn't expecting it to be full! However, the service and wait times were impeccable!!! The appetizers were good and plentiful, then we opted for two 2kg steaks, two different types of fish, but both sublime! The wine was served in the house "Fiaschetto" (flask), but it was truly excellent!!! The girl from Verona who served us was truly friendly and nice. A fair price, in my opinion, and more. Would I go back? Definitely YES!

07/06/2026: Our problem was the cockroaches. The staff were very attentive. When we saw the cockroach for the first time, we asked to change tables because it happens outside, in the garden. The second time, as soon as we ordered our dishes, we saw others and I told the waitress, who called Mr. Cristian who killed it. Then we asked to close the bill because we were leaving. The attendant told Cristian and he said "you can go, it's normal to have cockroaches if there's a garden". I believe it's not normal inside the establishment. At least not the ones I frequent. Terrible customer service.

30/05/2026: One of the best! If not the best steakhouse in Florence! The food is excellent, from appetizers to dessert, everything is delicious! The staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable! I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Florence who wants to eat a real Florentine steak! We'll definitely be back!

07/06/2026: A very pleasant setting in a garden where the scent of jasmine accompanies the meal. The staff is very attentive. Disappointed by the size of my dessert, I ordered a second one. Without me even asking, it was offered to me free of charge. It's a family business where customer service remains a priority.

07/06/2026: Had a wonderful group dinner (±16 people) at La Mandragola in early May. Menu was pre-set by our hosts and allowed discovering pastas and Bistecca alla Fiorentina, paired with good wines! Service was excellent for such a large group, food came for everyone at same time, and everything was great. We did not leave hungry. We sat inside due to cool weather, but there is a nice outside patio that must be very nice in summer. I would return for sure, either as a group or just as a couple for a romatic evening under the stars. Hidden gem in San Gimignano!

11/04/2026: Disappointment: Tuscan pici, which instead of a good ragù, were served in a flavorless broth; chickpea gnocchi, also soupy and with an unappealing minestrone flavor; and the barley coffee in a large cup, strong and burnt. Recommended by Michelin, for sure, but not by me and my fellow diners.

09/06/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant with my wife, trying the tasting menu: carefully prepared dishes, well-executed, and with interesting pairings. The food is truly excellent, with quality ingredients and a cuisine that demonstrates technique and personality. However, the experience was partially marred by one important aspect: there is no real wine list. You can only drink from the labels selected by the staff, with no independent selection. This is a significant limitation, especially for those who enjoy creating their own food and wine experience or wish to explore a broader selection. A format that has potential, but one that deserves an overhaul, at least from this perspective.

15/03/2026: Recommended by friends, this trattoria seats 30. We had made reservations, but we had to move some of our guests to get a seat in the assigned corner, crammed into the other table. (Okay, that's fine if it's worth it, we think.) The dining room was completely chaotic: people waiting a long time, people who had reservations but didn't keep their seats, others complaining that their food wasn't arriving. The only positive note was the pair of waiters who were trying to repair various damages. We waited about 45 minutes to order, and after another 40 minutes, a cold, tasteless, and tough Florentine steak arrived, accompanied by potatoes that were supposed to be roasted but were actually more boiled than anything else, and a mess of cannellini beans. I won't go into the cleanliness of the restaurant and the bathroom so as not to further add to the inconvenience of having been there. It's not the first time I've been to Florence and tried typical restaurants, but this was definitely the worst experience.
