03/04/2025: Typically Tuscan restaurant environment that recalls tradition such as the flask of wine on the table. Courteous dining room staff who make you feel at home. Good dishes and super Florentine steak. To be recommended

03/04/2025: I give 4 stars for the waitress and the speed of the service. We arrived at 9:30 p.m. and the grumpy old man rushed us to sit down because it was late... but the professional and helpful waitress changed the situation. It is a restaurant “made” for locals.

07/04/2025: It is an ancient trattoria specializing in typical Tuscan peasant cuisine. Over time it has expanded to become a restaurant well known by foreign tourists as well as Italians. The dishes are varied but all typical, faithfully adhering to Tuscan cuisine. The portions are generous. The staff is very kind, fast and professional.

07/04/2025: Overall very good dishes. I took the two off the menu, pici with mushrooms and sausage and cheek with very good mashed potatoes. The bread is also good. The desserts are nothing special. Very quick and helpful service. It is advisable to book. Competitive prices and generous portions.

06/04/2025: A very nice restaurant and close to the Santa Maria Novella station. Available and kind, capable of managing a large group such as a school group on a trip. I have rarely eaten so well on a trip. Unfortunately this review was hasty; after the excellent welcome on the first evening, the following two we had the feeling of being unwelcome guests. It's a shame, because the place is nice.

23/03/2025: We set outside, for lunch. The service was great and welcoming. For starters we took the anchovies and salty cheese cake. Both were generous and very good. After that we had the gnocchi with truffles that was tasty and well presented and the ossobuco which was good but side is extra charged and was plane and not generous. We took the waiter’s advice for wine and it wasn’t a great wine, just ok.

20/03/2025: If you are planning a visit to Siena , this is a great spot, not to be missed. Had a fantastic lunch. Mostly locals in a lovely family run historic site. It is beautiful inside the food is incredible. We had the vegetarian tasting menu. The handmade "pici pasta" is wow. It came with two different small veg souffles and homemade bean stew . The cheese cake is the best ever . The place is only 5 minutes from the Duomo on a little side street. We'll worth the search. Reservation suggested

14/03/2025: Intimate family owned restaurant with homemade Tuscan food. We had experienced authentic food here, much better quality than a lot of other places with fuss, and the personal touch of the owners is the cherry on top. They are open more hours than most places in the area, they also have menus in English and quality Prosecco. What we ordered: - the bruschetta pomodoro was very flavorful - the radicchio trevisano was fantastic and a novelty for us (grilled vegetable which seems to be a mix between a radicchio and a bok choi maybe), seasoned with olive oil, garlic, lemon, and parsley - the burrata with prosciutto & radicchio was a total delight - from the mixed meat platter for 2 I loved the chicken breast and the pork which were extremely tender, moist and perfectly grilled. My husband loves sausages and he was very happy with these hearty ones - their homemade French fries and fried artichokes were fresh and crispy - the cheesecake was godly - the pana cota had that homemade quality as well This place is a must!

24/02/2025: We celebrated my son's eighteenth birthday in this restaurant...what can I say, everything was great starting from the food, we had opted for a complete menu served at the table and it was truly delicious, as was the service, everyone from the waiters to the owners were all really helpful. I highly recommend this place!!!!

08/04/2025: Un posto molto simpatico....i titolari che scherzano e parlano dei loro problemi...persone che non conosci si siedono vicino....ho riso come un bambino...una signora stava cadendo dalla sedia...dopo aver visto che era tutto apposto ... c'era da ridere!!! Fantastico....venite a mangiare qui...tutto molto buono!!!!!

23/02/2025: We went to this restaurant given the positive reviews, we expected a nice place with excellent food… Instead the restaurant was CLOSED! Apparently they decide to close for weeks without even updating the opening hours on Google. Having seen the excellent reviews we decided to go there even though we were not in the area, only to find a surprise. In these times something like this is truly unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that should focus on serving tourists...

02/03/2025: Already famous for an amazing selection of craft beers, the other pleasure at Bottega Matta is Mamma in the kitchen making the truly traditional dishes of the zone. Silvio is the maestro of beers and has won me over with different tastes every time (and I go often!). Don't miss this treasure, just 5 minutes from Montepulciano.

26/12/2024: An amazing place with a fantastic owner! I think we'll meet again next Boxing Day. Even my little girls tasted the wonderful beers and we all came out singing.

05/02/2025: Visitato in un periodo in cui a Monteriggioni e’ quasi tutto chiuso e non ci sono turisti. Arrivati alle 14.30 siamo comunque stati accolti con cortesia. Abbiamo gustato giusto un primo: dei gradevoli Pici cacio e pene, ben presentati e saporiti. Accompagnati ad un bicchiere di Nobile ci è bastato per rimanere soddisfatti. Prezzo in linea con la proposta e gestione molto cortese.
