04/12/2025: Highly recommended. Warm atmosphere, friendly people, and top-notch food. The pici are a Maremma blessing, an experience worth repeating. The main courses are excellent, and the freshly made tiramisu is a real treat. I hope to return again and again.

17/11/2025: I have known the Capannina for a long time (2000) and can therefore provide my latest experience after years of not coming to dine in this restaurant. The dishes in general have lost in quality as well as in quantity given that we got up hungry. The bill was salty but the satisfaction in eating the dishes ordered was almost zero. I am willing to pay even €100 but the dish must be well cooked and the quantities must be proportionate. A fried food can be charged €15 but it must be substantial and not scarce like the one they brought me. The dessert was even smaller than normal, ridiculous portions at 5 euros each. In short, the customer is not stupid, do you want to charge €15-18 for the dishes? So first of all, make them well (the octopus was very salty and mushy) and don't reduce the quantity too much or it will become ridiculous. Furthermore, last but not least, for reasons of hygiene, waitresses should wear their hair tied up and not in the wind.

01/03/2026: We managed to book in advance and just celebrated my wife's 60th birthday. We had a truly wonderful time. They reserved a private room for us, and to the accompaniment of some very pleasant music, we enjoyed Tuscan dishes prepared with care and skill, including an excellent schiacciata filled with whipped cream. The service was adequate and the prices were more than fair. We will definitely be back. Congratulations and thank you.
01/03/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance; we weren't familiar with it. It was a wonderful discovery. We'll definitely be back. The selection of dishes and the way they're prepared reflect a great sense of traditional Tuscan spirit and flavor. It's definitely run by people who love what they do.

02/03/2026: We went on the recommendation of the tour guide. To begin with, since we didn't speak Italian, they gave us dirty looks. We ordered the set menu, only the first course, as we don't eat much and thought it was enough. The menu stated that water and cover charge were free. The surprise was that they weren't included on the bill. We mentioned it to the waiter, and he told us that since we had only ordered first courses, there was a charge for water and cover charge. Later, we found out that when a menu says "free," it doesn't matter if you only order the first course; you don't have to order both. I felt they were taking advantage of us, and the service was terrible. They didn't even come near the table. Be careful with recommendations; we're tourists, but we're not stupid.

08/03/2026: Wonderful restaurant. Completely different from what you usually find. Sophisticated dishes with a modern touch and very good quality products. Their burrata with spinach is excellent; as a tip, I would suggest that the spinach be served freshly sautéed hot with the burrata on top. Their chicken pâté is incredible. Their pasta is sophisticated, but they also have very tasty and elaborate dishes like their squid ink pasta with fennel, very delicious, and their carpaccio, very good. As a recommendation, I would flatten it more so that it becomes even finer on a larger plate; there's no need for more raw material. Their desserts are very good and elaborately prepared. We went twice in 4 days of stay in Florence. That says a lot... I will return!!

27/01/2026: Less than 100 meters from the Duomo, there's this wonderful restaurant where I enjoyed the chicken with tarragon. I'd never had it before, and I must say, it was delicious! Excellent service, a comfortable and well-kept atmosphere, and excellent value. PS: It was so good that I returned for dinner, welcomed by the courteous Simona and Anastasia. In addition to the aforementioned chicken, I also tried the pici with wild boar, which were amazing! Special thanks to Simone!

I was struck by this restaurant first of all for the excellent reviews and then because (never found it) they have a menu dedicated to our 4-legged friends... so I booked... we ate very well and were welcomed with kindness... rating 10!
01/03/2026: Very hospitable and delicious food!! Warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Florentine steak is exceptional. Also worth trying are the beans all'uccelletto. Highly recommended.

The main courses were cold and didn't even seem fresh from the day we ate them. The cover charge of €4.50 seems a bit high. For three people, €180 without having eaten well.

11/03/2026: 10/10 dining experience. We stumbled upon this hidden gem when researching for restaurants to eat in Pisa. We ordered the steak which was amazing. We also got the aglio olio and walnut gnocchi which were good. The team’s service was first class as they recommended a sumptuous cut of steak (Scottona) and a great red wine (Rodano) to go with it for a very reasonable price. The desserts were amazing in particular the tiramisu and panna cotta Overall, this place exceeded our expectations and would highly recommend if you are looking for a good place to eat in Pisa.

15/03/2026: Recommended by friends, this trattoria seats 30. We had made reservations, but we had to move some of our guests to get a seat in the assigned corner, crammed into the other table. (Okay, that's fine if it's worth it, we think.) The dining room was completely chaotic: people waiting a long time, people who had reservations but didn't keep their seats, others complaining that their food wasn't arriving. The only positive note was the pair of waiters who were trying to repair various damages. We waited about 45 minutes to order, and after another 40 minutes, a cold, tasteless, and tough Florentine steak arrived, accompanied by potatoes that were supposed to be roasted but were actually more boiled than anything else, and a mess of cannellini beans. I won't go into the cleanliness of the restaurant and the bathroom so as not to further add to the inconvenience of having been there. It's not the first time I've been to Florence and tried typical restaurants, but this was definitely the worst experience.

07/03/2026: Unfortunately, the 1.5 kg steak was probably poorly aged and was almost rubbery, already very difficult to cut. Obviously, it was rare (as it should be, of course), but the middle and not only that, it was completely raw. It's a shame, perhaps we were just unlucky. The appetizers were excellent, but the main course wasn't up to par.
02/03/2026: What can I say? After 125 years of history and still so much passion and Italianness, we can only say "well done." The food is good, the service is friendly and efficient. Bravo again!

03/01/2026: Absolutely incredible place. Gilda is everything that Florence represents, as she says, she's from here. Just like I'm from Lisbon. We are from here, from the place where the city's name comes from, from those who came before us, years and years of flavors and tradition, we know what our city tastes like, and at Gilda's it tastes like Prosecco, it tastes like Tagliatelle with Duck Ragu, with shameless Parmesan... we can use and abuse it without guilt, like someone who isn't from here. I usually stay here, but I was entitled to the Jackpot of table wine with biscotto and a Black Forest cake, I was won over by the wine with soaked biscuit, it tasted like Heaven, Duomo and David. Gilda knows our Maria de Medeiros very well and was a great friend of the great Misia. I think this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship, and long live Gilda and long live Florence.
