03/06/2026: We celebrated my son's first communion with two other families and had a truly wonderful time. The food was excellent, the location was enchanting, and despite there being three communions, which were a bit chaotic, they handled everything with great care and helpfulness.
Furthermore, the prices were fair, and the quality of the food, as well as the service, was truly excellent. Highly recommended!

The interior is well-maintained, but the outdoor gazebos are a huge plus, especially in Tuscany, allowing you to enjoy the climate and scenery in complete relaxation. The cuisine is excellent, faithful to the local tradition; you can't go wrong with quality ingredients and traditional recipes. Highly recommended!

18/05/2026: We spent a night in our campervan behind the trattoria. Quiet, beautiful, and secluded – simply wonderful. The food was superb. The sage in the pastry was truly delicious, along with the garlic bruschetta. The homemade pasta with spinach and cheese as a first course was exceptional. The fried chicken and salad were perfect for the second course. The service was friendly and professional, with excellent English. We'd love to come back. Southern Tuscany is our favorite.

08/06/2026: Bellissimo! It's nice to know that not everything in Italy is pasta.... Mexican, order the Platte di Bollito (tuna dish) with trippa (beef tripe stewed with tomato), the red sauce is spicy 💯👌🏽 Bravo!

The Bollito platter is beef in a tomato broth with hot sauce.
They also have a very good menudo (tripe stew).
A glass of wine is $1.50.

20/04/2026: We were 4 for lunch, coming from Genoa for the match against Pisa.... EXCELLENT food, fantastic staff, fast and impeccable service, everyone very kind and friendly. The owner was very nice, friendly with everyone, passionate about football.... we chatted with him and other customers inside.... a family atmosphere but very professional. EXCELLENT LUNCH. THANK YOU.

04/05/2026: I came here via The Fork and I have to say it was a delightful discovery. The staff were polite and attentive. The food was excellent... almost not "osteria-like"; the dishes were beautifully presented and truly delicious: we really enjoyed the homemade testaroli, and the Tuscan flan and crostini were also excellent. The prices were fair.
It's already on our list of favorites and we'll definitely be back!

Trattoria serving both meat and fish dishes. The stuffed turkey roll and calamari soup are excellent.

03/05/2026: A small trattoria not far from the Santa Maria Novella train station. Excellent menu options: top-notch all-inclusive (cover charge, water, and wine), good quality. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

01/06/2026: Yesterday we had dinner at this restaurant, which we chose by chance based on the reviews. The experience was excellent: excellent food, a wide selection of wines, extremely courteous service, and a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Generous portions and tasty dishes: perfectly cooked Florentine steak, absolutely worth trying the nettle gnocchi, truly excellent porchetta rabbit and sirloin steak, and the torta della nonna (grandmother's cake) was a wonderful finish.
A special compliment to the staff, who courteously and kindly assisted us in choosing the best dishes for our tastes.
The price was fair for everything we ate and the quality of the ingredients.
Highly recommended!

06/05/2026: I found the place small but welcoming, almost intimate, I'd say. It's called "picio matto" for a reason. The first courses were truly excellent, with both quantity and quality being top notch. For the second course, a mouth-watering Florentine steak, beautifully cut. The owner is truly unique: friendly, helpful, and welcoming. A must-try if you want to eat well. Try the pici with garlic (recommended).

06/06/2026: A very nice restaurant just before reaching Vigevano. The staff is particularly courteous and helpful, although the service is a bit slow. Their fixed-price menu is very good; the meat is delicious, but the first courses are also very tasty. Pet-friendly.
I recently returned to this restaurant and I can honestly say that, on the right evening, it's a great dining experience. Attentive and friendly service, good food, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
