05/03/2026: A Florentine treasure & by chance we stumbled upon it for drinks after a sumptious apperitivo elsewhere. We were drawn to the place by the bonhomie of the guests on the front terrace, the tenor belting out opera alongside passers by & the young American diner who joined him amidst clapping & cheers from passers by ( like us) & residents from the apartments upstairs. After being smitten by a concert from the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina at the Zefferelli Musem nearby, we felt as if we had walked into one of the Great Man's film sets. Perhaps due to being tucked behind the magnificence of the Uffizi, Trattoria Buzzoni it is at first glance modest but this place is as worthy of the listed fine dining establishments that Firenze is proud of. In Scotland, we are also proud of our fine dining restaurants, excellent produce & hospitality but also, like Trattoria Buzzino we know how to welcome people in good eateries like long lost friends with conviviality borne of good wholesome food, laughter & joy. Their name befits the owners & the chefs....this place is A-Buzz with everything we need in life right now......the joy of life. Just like magic you will venture inside & you will realise what you have been missing!

22/02/2026: We stayed two nights in the new building just steps from the restaurant. The rooms were modernly furnished, clean, and comfortable. A generous breakfast was served in the restaurant, with an endless selection of sweet and savory dishes.

18/03/2026: The place and atmosphere are very nice, the staff is helpful and courteous, the prices are fair, and the food is very good. The service is fast and the wait time is reasonable. Recommended.

08/03/2026: If you're looking for well-prepared meat, this place is definitely worth it. Interesting appetizers like tartare, burrata, and Apulian focaccia, but the real highlights are the tagliata and Florentine steaks. I had the beef tagliata: very good meat, accompanied by a variety of vegetables. Very generous portions: you'll leave satisfied but without feeling too full. Small but well-kept and clean, the restaurant has a quiet atmosphere and very friendly staff. The prices are also a pleasant surprise: moderately low for the quality of the meat. Recommended if you're looking for a good meat-based dinner.

17/02/2026: A restaurant with a typical Tuscan menu. I had a very good appetizer of crostini, but the beef tagliata was a bit sour, and the wait was really long for a Monday night. Still, I recommend it.

12/03/2026: Really great place, ate there twice in the 10 days that I was in Florence . Their fried artichokes are the best I've ever had. Their Calamari Alla griglia Is very good and so is their Bistecca Fiorentina. Would definitely return. Edit: I'm back in Florence and ate there again, this time trying the Risotto Nero. As usual their food is absolutely delicious and we will be returning before leaving Florence

11/03/2026: This is a really cool place that's been around for 100 years, and although the building and interior is a cool relic, unfortunately the food was the least good we've experienced in Florence. It was fine, but not brilliant and some of it only served warm not hot. The price reflected this - it was an inexpensive meal, but I wouldn't be excited to go back.

07/03/2026: A simply unforgettable dinner. Extraordinary tagliolini with truffle: intense aroma, perfect pasta, and a truly rare balance of flavors. Then a special fillet, cooked to perfection: tender, flavorful, and meticulously presented. All accompanied by a stunning "Calipte" rosé, in an exceptional atmosphere, elegant yet welcoming, where every detail contributes to making the experience special. Highly recommended: one of those restaurants that lingers in your memory.

03/03/2026: I went on a Tuscan tour that included a winery visit! The scenery was amazing, and the restaurant was beautiful. The food was also delicious... The wine was so good I bought some as a gift. Honestly, it was one of the best meals I had in Italy.

20/03/2026: A traditional restaurant in the heart of Castellina's historic center. A stately building with a beautiful dining room. All dishes are freshly prepared daily, including homemade pasta, regional specialties, and delicious desserts. Extensive wine cellar.

04/01/2026: This is the best restaurant where you can enjoy Tuscan cuisine. The lasagna was particularly delicious, but I was impressed by every other dish. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was good. I would definitely visit again if I come to Florence again.

05/04/2026: I've been there twice. I can't understand how they can get such high ratings. The staff is excellent, but they have a (sub)objective problem in the kitchen. The risotto Milanese is bland, nothing special. The cutlet was truly gigantic, but badly cooked. Never again. The prices are high for the quality.
