24/11/2025: I have to thank my friend who insisted on bringing me here, because, I confess, I was completely unaware of the existence of this little gem. It was my first time there, but the impact was immediate: there's a family atmosphere, genuine and unfiltered. The welcome was warm, the kind that immediately puts you at ease (kudos to the genuine smile). The cuisine was a wonderful surprise in terms of variety and execution. We explored a bit: the pizza is good, but it's the main dishes that really stand out, especially the rosemary and pink pepper steak, truly tender and flavorful. The attention to detail in the drinks is also noteworthy. Wait times can vary, but in such a pleasant setting, they don't bother me. An honest and heartfelt place, happy to have discovered it.

19/11/2025: I happened to stop by and had a delicious meal. Florence is a tourist town, so I don't remember having a particularly good meal, but visiting this restaurant changed my mind. The pasta in the second photo is the basil tomato pasta, and wow... it was truly delicious. The ingredients blended well together, and the texture of the pasta was wonderful. The first photo is the wild boar pasta. It wasn't anything special, but it had a familiar flavor and was delicious. If I ever go back to Florence, I'd love to come back and try some of the other dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly. The best. . I visited again in November. I had such a great meal that I brought my mom back. The staff were just as friendly, and the food was delicious as always. My mom also loved the Choi Gong Pasta. I wanted to tell the owner about this, but he seemed very busy, so I just said "I enjoyed it" and left. It's a shame, but I look forward to seeing you again. Stay healthy, boss!

17/11/2025: From the start, it's clear it's a good place, with lots of people and many restaurants. The waitress was lovely. She chatted with us, was attentive, and was constantly on the go. The food... we opted for typical Tuscan dishes. The tortelli with ragu were delicious, and especially the beef stew with Chianti, or Peposo Toscano, was incredible. For dessert, the tiramisu was very, very good, and we tried the best cantucci of the trip, with Vin Santo for dipping. Everything was excellent.

03/12/2025: It's like a my home. Everytime when we visit Florence,we go the restaurant almost every day. The family keeps us in good company. Even we are gluten free eater. Thank you always.

02/12/2025: We came here with a promotional voucher to try the cuisine, having never been there before. Excellent quality, traditional Tuscan dishes cooked to perfection, and generous portions. We ordered a full menu (appetizer, first course, second course, and dessert) each, plus a glass of wine, a bottle of water, and a side dish. The bill would have been €105 without the promotion, so in my opinion, very fair given the quality and location (right in the city center). We'll be back!!

31/07/2025: We were recommended this place by our B&B and it did not disappoint. The truffle pasta and pork roulette were the highlights. Fantastic local wine selection and excellent service. Get the tiramisu!

30/07/2025: Very nice and welcoming place. Very kind staff. We had a starter and dessert, which were truly excellent and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

11/10/2025: A culinary experience of the highest order! The food here is unbelievably delicious – every dish was an absolute highlight. There's no menu; the chef decides what's served – and that's exactly what makes the visit so special. Each course was perfectly seasoned, creatively presented, and prepared with palpable passion. The entire team is extremely polite, attentive, and warm, making you feel welcome from the very first moment. Advance reservations are definitely recommended, as the restaurant is apparently very popular and usually full – quite rightly so!

08/12/2025: Small "tasting" portions - the food wasn't particularly impressive in terms of quality. My husband and I both had tartare and had stomach problems the next day. Tourist trap. You can find better value for money.

22/11/2025: We stumbled upon this place by chance and felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Lory and the entire staff were incredibly friendly, the place reminded me of my grandparents' house 😊 and the food was fantastic 👏🏾👏🏾. The Chianina tartare was excellent and the Fratoiana soup, a Lucca specialty, was delicious.

30/11/2025: My favorite place!! It's always a guarantee, the typical Tuscan food is truly delicious, the atmosphere is very welcoming... every time we feel pampered by Simone... I recommend it to everyone with all my heart!

26/11/2025: A charming location. It was raining and cold outside, but inside the lights were warm and soft, and the fireplace was lit right in the room where we dined. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and discreet. The appetizer was tasty and generous enough to share. The pizza was really good, cooked well, perfectly thin, and with a texture that, in my opinion, was perfect: just the right amount of crispiness, not at all soft and heavy. Those who ordered the meat said it could be cut with a spoon... medium-high price, I recommend trying it.

20/11/2025: I booked a table because I had a business dinner for the staff. Due to unforeseen work-related issues, I called an hour and a half early to cancel the table. They responded by complaining, making me feel bad about the fact that they'd already set the table and would have to clean it up, and then attacking me. I don't think this is professional, but above all, polite. The food may be good, but if this is how they treat customers/potential customers, I would never recommend it to anyone. I hope you understand that I called out of politeness as soon as I learned we couldn't make it... there are many people who, on the contrary, wouldn't have, and you would have been left waiting for guests who never arrived, thus losing reservations.

02/12/2025: My go-to restaurant in Lucca. Traditional cuisine with excellent quality ingredients. The waiters provide superb service, and the owner is very attentive and friendly. A must-visit when you're in Lucca or the surrounding area. I highly recommend La Bistecca. We'll definitely be back!

10/12/2025: A very nice event, well-organized, and super clean. The restaurant is a real highlight! The staff is made up of very kind and attentive young people. The food and wine were excellent! Recommended for a relaxing weekend near the Rapallo spas, Montepulciano, and Arezzo.

08/12/2025: A very welcoming restaurant. The young, friendly, and knowledgeable waiters served us a delicious and comprehensive mixed Tuscan appetizer. Two equally good first courses, with generous portions. Recommended.

05/12/2025: Traditional Italian food with a hip vibe, cheerful staff and alternative interior. I enjoyed my Tripi Florentine style and tomatoe bread soup!!! Never tried before and absolutely loved it. Both dishes are very filling. I would have been completely satisfied with either of the two.
