04/07/2025: We had lunch at noon, really good tagliatelle with mushrooms and potato tortelli superlative, roast ham very special. Homemade pasta! Appetizers cold cuts and cheeses from their shop next door great solution. Very friendly staff. I highly recommend it. They also have covered outdoor seating really characteristic near the bridge.

05/08/2025: A beautiful little restaurant, small but very welcoming. The menu features traditional dishes, absolutely fantastic! We tried the mixed antipasto (crostino with chicken livers, horse meat salad with truffle and parmesan, pecorino, fennel, and prosciutto, and legumes cooked in a saucepan), followed by pici with wild boar, tagliatelle with truffle, rabbit, and peposo.
The selection of coffees was very pleasant, certainly unusual! The price was absolutely reasonable, highly recommended!

07/08/2025: The restaurant is nicely decorated and feels authentic. The male host was very friendly. The starter was very good. Unfortunately the main course was a little bit bland and literally as the menu described. The scenery and vibe shifted when the rest of the family arrived and started having whole conversations in the dining room without acknowledging us. This made the situation a bit awkward. The slogan is slow food, it ended slow food slow service.
06/08/2025: I ordered 1kg, but it had minimal bones.
As expected of a T-bone, it had a large sirloin, so it was very tender and delicious. ♥ It was cooked just right for medium!
The meat pasta and truffle pasta were so delicious that I was eating all the sauce with bread, and they came over and refilled the bread for me~ Thanks to them, I was able to clean my plate. 🤭 The mushroom risotto was also delicious because the rice was fully cooked, like porridge. The dishes weren't spicy, but the salty T-bone made it even more delicious. 🍖 The price was reasonable for the amount of food, so I'll go back next time I'm in Florence👍🏻

31/07/2025: Incredible steak. I went with my wife where we shared a florentine steak and it was the best meal we had in Florence.
They bought our steak out raw to show us the size and then cooked it perfectly for us. Told us to drizzle olive oil and black pepper on it and that’s all it needed.
I would definitely go back here and I would 100% recommend.
30/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato ieri sera in questo bel locale, trovato tramite le recensioni. Devo dire che le aspettative erano alte , ma il risultato ancora di più… top . Fiorentina al filetto sublime , cotta perfettamente e non presentata su pietra ollare come fanno certi …grandioso anche il tiramisù. Gentilissimo il giovane cameriere e vero oste il proprietario che si è preoccupato di chiederci se la Fiorentina era stata di nostro gradimento… è bello vedere chi mette passione nel proprio lavoro. Lo stra consiglio…bravissimi , torneremo sicuramente

08/08/2025: It's one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at, and I've been to quite a few. Everything was excellent, especially the ravioli with ragù and the braised beef, but let's not forget the pinci all'aglione and the wild boar, and the refreshing ricotta dessert. Everyone was also very kind and professional, but without any of the formalities that I personally dislike. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

01/07/2025: Oh boy....where do we start? If you're looking for a place to waste two hours of your life while slowly losing faith in the hospitality industry, then congratulations—you've found it. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by a host who seemed genuinely annoyed by the inconvenience of guests showing up. She asked us three separate times how many were in our party, and when we kept answering “four,” she bizarrely added, “Oh sorry, I was including myself.” I guess she figured she’d be joining us for dinner? Sadly, she didn’t—she just vanished into a fog of indifference.
Now, let's talk about the food… or rather, the eventual arrival of food. A mind-numbing 95 minutes passed before anything edible (and I use that word lightly) hit the table. I’ve aged cheese faster than they brought our entrees.
First up, the ricotta-stuffed flowers: aggressively salty, as if the chef confused ricotta with seawater. Bread was delivered twice—each time a mountain of it—perhaps to distract us from the creeping suspicion that dinner might never actually arrive. Spoiler: we eventually wished it hadn’t.
And then, the steak. Oh, the steak. It takes true talent to strip a steak of all flavor, texture, and joy—but this place managed it. Tougher than a leather belt and blander than unseasoned tofu, it was easily the worst steak I’ve ever been served in any country, on any continent, during any century. I’ve had better luck at highway gas station diners.
When we (politely!) offered some feedback, the owner scoffed. Literally. With the smug confidence of someone who’s been phoning it in for decades, he told us that in 30 years he’s never served a bad steak. He also bizarrely blamed France for our taste buds, suggesting that maybe we expected “too many herbs and flavors” in our meal, as if seasoning a steak were a crime against culinary tradition.
For the record: we’re not from France. And we weren’t expecting foie gras flambéed in truffle butter. We just wanted a steak that didn’t feel like biting into a gym mat.
The atmosphere was the only redeeming quality, perched charmingly near a piazza—but even that lost its charm as we watched table after table of unhappy diners doing the slow head-turns and wristwatch glances that universally signal: where the hell is our food?
Final verdict? Unless your idea of a great night out includes confused staff, flavorless food, condescending owners, and a wait time long enough to grow your own vegetables, do yourself a favor and skip this place. You’ll thank me later when your jaw isn’t sore from chewing through boot leather masquerading as steak.

28/07/2025: The location is very pleasant and relaxing, with beautiful furnishings and attention to detail... ideal for a quiet dinner, although—with the restaurant fully booked—the noise level was a bit high, making conversation difficult.
The menu is extensive and interesting, with tasty and well-conceived options that showcase top-quality ingredients.
All the dishes I ordered were appreciated for both their balanced flavors and their aesthetics. They were beautifully presented and served on elegant plates, which I found particularly pleasing and in keeping with the ambiance.
The wine list is also well-structured, with excellent labels. However, I should note that the wines by the glass, while high-quality and in the medium-high price range (up to €17), are served in very small quantities, bordering on standard portions.
If I may make a small complaint, I would have expected a little more from the service, which, while courteous, occasionally seemed a bit distracted or inattentive to the pace of the meal.
Overall, a pleasant dining experience, recommended for those looking for quality, attention to presentation, and well-executed cuisine.
19/07/2025: Nice traditional trattoria-style restaurant with some modern takes on traditional Italian food. Friendly servers. Nice outdoor area. A little pricier than others around but quality is good.

06/08/2025: This restaurant is definitely worth stopping at if you're in Volterra. Quality food at a fair price. What surprised me was the atmosphere inside: sunny and welcoming, with the owner always on top of things, extremely friendly and polite despite a few, let's say, "special" customers. We had a small inconvenience on the way out; the waitresses cleared the table before we'd completely finished our lunch. The owner apologized repeatedly, taking the time (and the bitter taste 😂) to help me, even though customers were literally "flooding" into the restaurant at that moment. A much-appreciated gesture. Coffee was offered before the inconvenience. What can I say, chapeau 👍🏻
06/08/2025: A restaurant in the center of Volterra with friendly staff and excellent food. We ordered a sharing platter as an appetizer and two pasta dishes as a main course, and they certainly lived up to our expectations! The staff were very professional and friendly, especially the owner, whose warmth made us feel at home. Highly recommended!

10/08/2025: I highly recommend it. The food is truly delicious. If you want to come and eat in the evening, arrive 15 minutes early and grab a table. If you arrive later, you'll expect a long queue. Great service. The place has a lovely Italian atmosphere. Prices for three dishes + a glass of wine + a bottle of beer + a bottle of water = 46 euros.
10/08/2025: Get here before 7:30pm if you want a table otherwise you’re going to wait - I think that explains a lot about the place. Doesn’t look like much but the food that comes out the door is excellent. We had the truffle gnocchi and my god, it will blow your mind. So flavoursome and cooked perfectly. Then we had the florentine T bone steak. Once again cooked very well, packed with flavour and very good price. The menu is packed with options and definitely on the more affordable side in Florence. Very nice service as well from all staff we interacted with.
