There are probably other good places to eat in Arezzo, but if you want to be sure, Ristorante Antica Fonte is definitely the place to go; it's also excellent value. P.S. The photo of the picio is a half portion since we shared it.

Asked ChatGPT and this restaurant was recommended based on quality for the price. It was fantastic! Ordered the Gorgonzola Gnocchi and the Grilled Chicken with lemon and capers. Also the glass of Chianti Reserva and Syrah (Cortona) from Arezzo Region was beautiful! My first Syrah from Cortona and it was a bit lighter style but very nice.

A wonderful place in Arezzo. It's a family-run restaurant, where the owners and staff are extremely kind and helpful. The food is simply delicious, with carefully prepared dishes that taste authentic. The wine list is excellent, with a wide selection to suit all tastes. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, perfect for enjoying a quiet meal. Without a doubt, a place to return to again and again. Highly recommended!!!

We stopped for lunch on the way off the highway. We ordered a first course (decent but nothing special) and a sautéed vegetable dish, the latter too watery, but we saw interesting dishes being passed around at other tables. Final rating suspended with the benefit of the doubt.

21/05/2026: The best restaurant in the neighborhood! We arrived without a reservation. Our first reaction was “there is no room left,” but on second thought, and when the maître d' saw that we spoke Italian, the door opened. What an experience. Authentic traditional local cuisine. Full house every single day. We will definitely be back. Very friendly staff.
13/05/2026: I went there with work colleagues. Great prices and divine traditional local dishes. The atmosphere is a bit noisy.
