18/06/2026: One of the more memorable experiences while dining in Italy - apetizers were tasty (Latvians love marinated herring, I never thought it could be made so rich), the main course of beef fillet had a great sauce & crust, and the local wine tied it all together. The location and views are well worth the drive, its cosy, the garden is beautiful and the owner is very hands-on, making it a pleasant and educational experience for the guests. Dont skip this place, imo, the 4.5 is misleading, inherited from the previous owners.

31/07/2025: We were recommended this place by our B&B and it did not disappoint. The truffle pasta and pork roulette were the highlights. Fantastic local wine selection and excellent service. Get the tiramisu!

09/07/2026: I went for the first time last night, and oh my, I had a great time. Maybe I ate a little too much, but the starters were out of control, really good, as was the steak; it tasted like butter in my mouth. The homey atmosphere was really nice; I felt like I was going to dinner at my mom's. I can't wait to try the other dishes on the menu.

07/07/2026: My grandson and I had a wonderful meal and returned two nights in a row. The waiters were very welcoming, kind, and spoke French.

20/06/2026: Good, typical Tuscan cuisine. The fried egg with truffles is a must-try. The rabbit and the stuffed pasta were also very good. Beautiful location in the heart of the old town with outdoor seating on the piazza. Friendly service, which, without complaint, moved our table settings first from outside to inside and later back outside again when it started to rain.

20/05/2026: Please do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. I was honestly really shocked at the attitude of the waitress here who genuinely rolled her eyes and laughed at me when trying to order just drinks and dessert. She said she would need to ask the if it was okay with manager for us to not have dinner as well, who shrugged and said it would be fine. After telling her we just wanted to share a cake rather than get one each, she scoffed again and said “really, wow”. We were at a table for under 30 minutes and paid a cover charge of €2 each. If it was busy, maybe I could understand her frustration but we paid for the table and there were only a couple of people in the restaurant. We wanted to support a local restaurant but unfortunately the environment we experienced was hostile and uncomfortable. This waitress also had very little patience for the couple sitting next to us who were trying to translate the menu. If you only want people buying 3 course meals with drinks when your restaurant is already empty, put up a sign.

10/05/2026: We went to visit friends who were on vacation nearby at this restaurant. I'm from the Val di Non in Trentino, but Tuscany is a paradise for me. 22/07/2026: I'm not used to writing reviews, and I don't do it because I don't want to influence people, either positively or negatively... it's right that everyone judges for themselves, but this time I feel like making a comment. Last night, dinner for two: I chose an appetizer of fried flowers stuffed with mozzarella and anchovies, reminding me of when I used to eat them many years ago at my mother's house... I received four "meatballs" (because that's the shape) made of a very large batter, with a flower inside that obviously couldn't have been crispy because it was trapped in the batter, with a sort of creamy sauce that looked more like anchovy paste than actual anchovies... OK. I ate the inner flower with the "creamy sauce" and left the batter casing... then I ordered the boneless fried chicken country-style with fried vegetables. So... frozen vegetables (even if they're properly asterisked on the menu), but if you're talking about typical Tuscan cuisine, leave the bags of frozen vegetables at the supermarket and fry them fresh. The chicken: dark brown morsels. As soon as I bite into one, I taste a very strong flavor, and I decide, along with the vegetables, not to eat it. The first waitress, very nice, asks me if I wanted anything else, and that she'll make it right away. I thank her and say it doesn't matter. After a while, she comes back and tells me that the chef tasted the fried food and said it was good... okay... The waitress, who was the last to clear the plates, asks me if everything was okay, but I tell her that if I were the chef, I wouldn't have sent the fried food that dark. She replies like this: it's our breading, it's not the oil's fault... okay... apart from the fact that they might be using rye bread, because it was really dark, but what really annoyed me was that I, always so nicely, told her: okay, the breading, but when you bring fried food to the table it needs to be nice and light, not too dark. She replies: I like it dark, light fried food tastes bland to me... so I, at 66 years old—in fact, I'll be 67 in a month and a half—have to hear such nonsense from a know-it-all girl, who gets face-to-face with the customer who then has to pay??? Among other things, there's a QR code for the wine list, which once scanned, didn't meet my needs, so I asked if they had a rosé prosecco, which wasn't listed... they brought it to me... I thought it was a Ludovika, but it wasn't prosecco... it was a sparkling wine, warm at that, even though they brought an ice bucket later. I went to pay, and very kindly and professionally, they took the fried chicken off the bill. Thank you. The receipt, however, has the grand total, and I'll never know how much I paid for that rosé sparkling wine... although doing the math, I think it was around 27 euros. Oh well. Too bad because yesterday I chose you to celebrate an important anniversary... oh well... it happens... but to me, damn it...

08/07/2026: Really enjoyed a great meal here on a first night in Prato. Our 730 reservation made us the first table (tired after travel!) but the staff were kind, accommodating our poor Italian. The food was plentiful and tasty. It was nice to sit outside despite the bees being a bit aggressive. Definitely recommend for a nice meal!

22/07/2026: We've been to this restaurant several times, for various occasions and events, since it opened, and each time it has consistently delivered, with high-quality dishes and professional, friendly service. 12/06/2026: My husband and I had dinner at this small restaurant/pub. We had made reservations, realizing it was quite small with only a few tables inside and out, based on other reviews. Silvio, the young owner, welcomed us kindly and served us quickly. We ordered two platters of mixed cured meats, three types of pecorino cheese and porchetta, two portions of Tuscan tripe in a pot, a portion of fried potatoes, and a plate of eggplant with mushrooms and pan-fried chicory. We were truly satisfied; everything was delicious!!! Not everyone likes tripe, and obviously there were other options, but if someone does, we can say they were the absolute best we've ever had in a restaurant. We absolutely recommend it!

05/06/2026: We stopped here on a whim today and were blown away. The pasta was delicious and the fries were the best we’ve had in Europe so far. Everything came out fresh and piping hot. The craft beer selection is fantastic and a nice change of pace from all the wine tasting. The owner is friendly and accommodating and will tailor a beer to whatever you’re in the mood for. He really knows his stuff. Prices are extremely reasonable. A great place to stop for lunch and grab a beer!

26/05/2026: As a food and geography enthusiast, I've been frequenting this wonderful restaurant for seven years, and each time I'm so enchanted it almost moves me to tears. The entire team that supports the phenomenal chef takes care of every wish. During my last visit, a few days ago, I had the pleasure of meeting the new waiter, Alessio, originally from Narcao, Sardinia, who impressed me with his professionalism, passion, and simplicity. Since then, I can't wait to return to Sant'Antioco and am already planning one of my next trips!

Without a doubt, for us it was the best restaurant in Suvereto. + Extremely kind, courteous, and professional staff, yet very human and welcoming. + They explained everything to us, making us feel at home, without forced formalities or false appearances. + Truly excellent food. + Exceptional value for money. + All the dishes were meticulously prepared, well-presented, and truly delicious. + No excessive wait between courses. + The desserts also deserve a special mention: truly excellent. It was honestly the best culinary experience of our entire stay.
